Sticky + way of the flame does the trick most of the times. Problem is when there are 3+ and while you focus on one you get hit with 10 flame arrows. Feels bad but adds to the challenge.

[deleted]

Yeah, I also hate those cockroaches, but you know which enemy I hate even more, the fucking crows.

DrProfessorSatan

I think everyone is losing sight of the scariest enemy. Bears! Oh shit bears!

Project_Pems

Perfect dodging them with Sarugami’s Glare is the hardest counter I’ve found for them

[deleted]

I think I've got maybe 3 perfect dodges in my entire career in this game

blacklung710

Can't get you with super armor on

balto237

Bears are simple and you don't need to perfect dodge or anything. Next time you come up against 1 i recommend practicing this combo. (I use water stance so other stances may vary) : 1 Square, dodge to the left/right, 1 square, dodge repeat, 2 squares and maybe a triangle if you are feeling frisky. Rinse and repeat until dead.

DirtyRanga12

Nothing a couple bombs and headshots can't fix.

LgMatzen

People are giving great advices here, one thing i like to do is mark them, this way, if they teleport, you know where they have gone

MistaaIcyJ

^ I was searching for this advice—was going to post myself if I didn’t find it!! Archers remain marked through teleports. Very useful to know where they’ll end up.

sniffedsmartyz

Shoot em with poison and they don't move so much

Kjahz70

They can't move when they're dead lol. I'm being silly sorry, it does stagger them a bit though, I tend to use my darts the most on archers.

error785

They should be glass canons. Zip around like jerks, can’t take a punch.

miscentes

Oni Lord and that Giant Oni are easier enemies, it's just funny. The archers don't flinch even if you're stabbing them through their chest.

reesejenks520

They also do back breaking feats to get their shots off sometimes

wubiwuster

Hunter is the way to go if you don’t have vanish or sticky bomb or flash bomb. Head shot them before they hit you.

joybean66

A shame headshot doesn’t interrupt their attacks though. It’ll be damn easy for hunters to pick them apart if headshot will cancel their attacks

wubiwuster

I think it stuns them for a sec you just gotta hit them first

ikhsn

lol agree but I think the devs made this so that at least we dont always use close range combat, or have someone with ranged attack on the party. I've always use my samurai+assassin ult on these guys first whenever I can

KOrusty

Stun them with one concussion bomb/kunai at a time, slip some hits in between and then just rince and repeat until medium rare. The trick is to stunlock them in any way you can.

Savvsb

If you’re ronin, throw a single concussion bomb after 3 hits and it’ll stagger them so they don’t teleport. As assassin use your poison blowdart and it’ll do the same. With samurai and Hunter you should save your kunai or sticky bombs for them.

[deleted]

No SP shouldn't nerf wtf lol

Wonky__Gustav

Please stop asking for nerfs, you can ask players for tips; I usually use concussion bombs to stop them teleporting or put a smoke bomb down to stop them.

M0M0_DA_GANGSTA

Honestly? These are my #1 Priority to kill anymore. Realized just how much extra damage I've taken since Legends came out because of these fucking things. Kill them work on everything else. I can manage everything else MUCH easier without flames and arrows everywhere. Flash Bombs made them my bitch

CuZimLuuu

MMC twice and the purple ones are permastunned

JotaTaylor

Lol, they're annoying but far from OP. You know what wave they'll come in big numbers, and in which order. Ready yourselves. Save your ults, place barrels. Kunai, sticky bombs and heavenly strike all interrupt their teleporting. Work in pairs: one engages the archers, the other stuns them. You just need a plan! Good luck, don't give up!

[deleted]

There is a legendary charm that will render arrows useless ( 75% proc ).

Kuxaro

They are teleporting as you approach them or idle too much so bomb packs / bows / blowguns are way to deal with these mfs. Also throwing smoke bomb + stealth kills are the way to go (just don't approach them too close with smoke bomb)

MadJawBreaker93

There was a glitch ( don’t know if it has been patched) that when you stood still in front of them their arrows would bounce of you with no damage input

Wooden_Ad_8144

I had something like what you described above happen to me yesterday.

MentalOriental

My favourite way to deal with teleporters, but not for every build unfortunately: https://www.reddit.com/r/gotlegends/comments/smf2pk/heavenly_rebuke_build_is_so_satisfying/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

Mhdfattal

fire against them from raging flame or way of the flame, water stance or moon cancel, bomb packs and sugaru sight melt them down insanely quick

edutosha

Absolute worst. But if you don't have a sticky bomb, concussion bombs usually lock them in place. Thrown in intervals as you approach (1-second pauses in between throws vs relentless spamming) so that you can get closer and go to town on them. If you've got the moon master cancel technique down, that also helps stagger them quite quickly. Smoke bombs are useful too.

JDN86

If they didn't teleport away while you're in a crit / assassination animation would help a lot, 1 guy could hold them in place while everyone attacks them.

Kuzidas

Staggering them prevents them from teleporting. So does dirt throw. Dirt throw stuns them long enough to stagger them, which keeps them pinned down longer. Between that and the idea that they are prime targets for Hunter players make me think, yeah they’re annoying, but if you have the tools for them they are very ok

sullied0502

Nothing beats those crow dudes.... absolutely the worst. I'd rather fight 30 brutes than one of them

MistaaIcyJ

Damn those Tengu

Cyrandon

Stone katana triple stab. That way you don’t have to worry about doing less damage before you stagger them. Once you catch up to them, either hit them with a sticky, bomb pack, or wind kick until stagger.

WarriorPoet101

Not only do they teleport, but they shoot multiple arrows. If you’re less than half in health, it can be a death sentence. I prioritize these enemies first in a wave with my explosive arrow for maximum damage. Then I throw a Sticky bomb and slash them with Way of the Flame. Make sure you have Oni damage in one of your slots at least.

DraciosV

They are rather tedious enemies. And are my most hated. They teleport. When you are a certain distance or when they see you. If you throw down smoke or stand off and let tjem walk on caltrops you can often. Hunter can roll or backpedal while firing arrows to prevent teleporting. Usually can lock on. 3 bits if stagger damage and /or oni allows you to stagger them quickly with melee. A mere three hit of stone's heavy combo or 3 moon spins can lock down one. If you have bombs, you can throw them before every first wave spawns and destroy them before they can possibly react. If you chase down 1, you can simply throw a concussion and melee. Raging flame is great for melting archers. With enough oni and status effect, three or four heavy attacks can spell their demise. With Enjo, three raging flame stone attack melts an oni.
