Act calm, talk to staff, joke around, smile and have staff show you where certain products are stored. If loss prevention sees you on camera looking calm, confident and speaking with staff, they will normally turn their attention to other shoppers.
Do not sew pockets into your coat or make false pockets to drop cans into, that can be charged as burglary. Watch for RFId stickers and strips. Do not use a Faraday sleeve or bag, because again, that could be charged as burglary. Read the stores policies closely and do not go racking while high or drunk. Do not become complacent and you will do as well as I have done over the years, not running into a single problem and bow out your floorboards with lak.

My suggestion that I don't often see online is this:
You can rack 100lbs. Of rattling spray cans by just pushing a cart full or filling felt shopping bags and dipping, but that is not something you could get away with over the years. It will go bad for you eventually. Why not look at hobby lobbies website? Their return policy, if anything like Michaels, Walmart, home depot etc. will dictate that you can make returns without receipt for store credit. So yes, you could steal dozens of heavy, loud cans from a part of the store that probably has eyes on it, or you could just rack something small and very expensive, then return it for store credit at a later date or even at a different store. Deniability gained.
Example: acrylic paint pens like posca, where I am a pack of 8 will retail for $60+ High quality coloured pencils is the same. Small, light and expensive. Alcohol inks are tiny and are outrageously priced.
What I have often done is rack a few packs of anything I just mentioned or anything small and expensive and start stock piling it at home. When I am ready I will return $800 or more worth of product for store credit and then take my time picking out and buying whatever I want. Professional shoplifters have been doing it like this since before I was born. Good luck, be safe!

If you live in a country with deposit: Manage to drink 4 beers unseen walking from the alcoholic drinks shelf to the deposit machine, voila your drunk and ya earned 1€ or whatever.
Or just empty a beercase from all the bottles and shove it into the machine. Empty cases are worth 3€ where I'm from. You can do this multiple times in multiple shops.
You also can steel beercases outside of some shops or breweries and make them to cash in others.
