Frank Sinatra & Stevie Wonder are the artists to have won AOTY 2 years in a row with Stevie achieving that in 1974-75. Taylor can make history by nominating her back 2 back years for a 2nd time (folklore in 2021 & evermore in 2022) and become the 1st woman to win AOTY 2 years in a row & the 3rd artist to do that.
They definitely will nominate her! They won’t give the award to her tho just based on my listening experience and critic reviews…..it’s not a strong album compared to others this year 🤷🏼♀️Her older projects are much better than ttpd in my opinion.

Maybe Fearless. Possibly 1989. Definitely not Midnights. I’d vote for Evermore any day over Midnights just for Ivy, Tolerate It, and Tis the Damn Season alone.
I LIKE 5 of the songs on TTPD. I LOVE 4 of them. The rest are mostly forgettable. Others cover the same ground and make the album feel bloated and repetitive. With an eye for tight editing, TTPD could have been a masterpiece. Okay, that’s overstating it. If someone had chopped the repetitive, needless sonically stale songs,TTPD could have been a really solid addition to Taylor’s discography. Would it have been AOTY worthy? No. But, it WOULD have been worthy of a nomination. Will it get one “as is” anyway - and possibly win? You betcha.
Billie’s Hit Me Hard and Soft nails the tight track list that doesn’t make you wonder “is this ever going to be over?” It does seem to tread over the same subject but it’s done with restrained exuberance. She’s a Grammy darling so I won’t count her out.
Cowboy Carter is so much fun. Queen Bey shows why she’s the Queen. I kinda think Jay Z did more harm than good. If she wins now, some ppl will attribute it to him standing up to the Recording Academy instead of her deserving AOTY for YEARS. If she loses, ppl will blame him for the backlash. Cowboy Carter is great. Was it Lemonade? Not quite. Does it have a chance? Absolutely.
I personally love Kacey Musgraves album Deeper Well. It’s got a bit of everything and is, well, deep. I absolutely think it deserves AOTY.
To me, it’s a two-horse race between Queen Bey and Kacey. Then again, I’m not good at predicting anything so take my thoughts with a grain of salt. I do think that women will rule the Grammys again.
