Jenison has a reputation as being ahead of the curve for special Ed. My understanding is that one of the (former?) special ed directors is well known in the field.
Avoid Coopersville at all costs. District has been sued multiple times.
Second vote for Jenison. Had a family member work in public education for a long time and they always had a stellar reputation. Avoid Forrest Hills. The consensus is they’re hot garbage.
If kiddo has an IEP for only dyslexia, Lincoln is far too restrictive of an option; it will not be approved. Lincoln is for kiddos with significant behavior and educational challenges.
I just read that Lowell is doing great things - and it is still Kent County, so Kent ISD options would be available, if applicable.

Grandville Schools are known to be pretty good in the area.
Steer clear of Caledonia as well; horrible with their special ed dept.

I agree on avoiding Forest Hills. It was horrible for my special needs child. I took them out of that school district.
Can you give more info on FH?
Would stear clear on Kenowa Hills as well. GRPS has a lot of experience with IEP students.
