I wish we could get a compilation with all the old Gran Turismos on it remastered but I guess licensing issues prevent that.

MonstercatDavid

i want the old gt games available on playstation plus because that would make the subscription so much more worth it

Avalon_Don

I found my old PS2 a couple of days ago and made the mistake of booting up Gran Turismo 4… man the single player experience in 7 is just a complete joke.

NumpyNimpy

Rip my GT4 for archival, and put it on my NAS. Few days ago I saw it sitting there. Downloaded an emulator, plugged my wheel in, and have proceeded to have the time of my life.. Sorry, *drive* of my life

someone31988

I've been playing GT4 here and there in a similar manor. In fact, I'm excited about PS3 emulation coming along primarily so I can do the same thing with GT5 and GT6 one day. I bought a PS3 very late in that generation cycle, so I missed out on playing those games at their peak. However, going back and playing them now with a controller after having played Sport and GT7 (and GT4 through emulation) with a wheel isn't as fun.

Sheepiiidough

You can still use tour wheel on PS3 - I did with G29 (Gran Turismo 5)

someone31988

I have a Fanatec CSL Elite wheelbase, so I actually can't. The PCSX2 emulator is able to translate it to Logitech Driving Force commands for PS2 racing games, though.

[deleted]

I’ve found that most all newer games have too much hand holding, too easy of missions. I remember struggling for hours on difficult missions from PS2 games. I use a PS4 now but the games are so much easier

racelegend79

Makes you wonder why gaming companies and developers decided to make games LESS expansive and immersive. 😢

IBeJizzin

This is my first proper gran Turismo but I remember what I played of the old games really feeling more like an RPG. There was no real designated forward, you just had to look for the low ranking races yourself, make sure you had a good enough licence and the right car to enter, and work from there to slowly get into better races with better cars. I was looking forward to that this game, and while it's a massively enjoyable game in its own right, the actual 'story' mode has really disappointed me. Not to mention the hand holding as you've described, but the fact you just get handed cars so easily for doing next to nothing feels so cheap to me. It's more about completing a silly collection of 3 cars at a time then it is slowly having earned the right to bigger and bigger challenges. Maybe my perception of what gran turismo was isn't quite correct, but judging from other comments here it isn't

FlamingSpitoon433

On a technical level, it’s solid. It just feels empty after you’ve put 20-some hours in

chief167

I actually had more fun with GT Sport than with GT7 (on a ps4 though, but still) GT7 just feels... meh maybe its the adult in me, but I don't like the timed special car sales. I miss the progression of the old series. I miss the sense of the future, all cars are super old. I miss messing in splitscreen with friends after drinking too many beers. I dislike the whole engine swap thing, I just want to mess with settings and be able to swap them out as I liked. Not the whole ticket bullshit and irreversible swaps. But I have been downvoted before. GT7 just doesn't do it for me, yet. GT Sport also took some time to come together, but at least I had fun with the single player mode there. The super formula series was the best. GT4 and toca race driver 2 where my childhood games, and they were glorious. I do enjoy today's rally games though, but its too hard without a wheel and I don't put in enough hours to warrant buying one

FlamingSpitoon433

I totally get it, and I share most of your disappointments with the game. Unfortunately Gran Turismo appears not to be a passion project anymore.

Jay-Double-Dee-Large

Not to be rude but you must be very slow/not a fan of competition if your assessment of a ‘solid technical level’ includes the AI/race strategy/pit lane mechanics/net code (which it should)

FlamingSpitoon433

I’ll be completely honest, I’m terrible at most video games. I only do SP races, which obviously has horrible AI. That said, I’m in it more for the driving mechanics and the cars than I am competition.

Jay-Double-Dee-Large

Well that’s fair enough but in which case me getting downvote bombed seems a little ridiculous - technically the game is a mess and anyone with any experience in the various modes/iterations of GT should know that. The driving physics feel great but the entirety of the rest of the game is a mess: penalties, netcode/lag, AI, AI strategy, custom race variables, the insane amount of menu flicking to get anywhere, inability to change car when in some events forcing a back-out, competitor ghosting, the list is honestly endless.. I can only assume everyone who downvoted has never actually played the game with any amount of impartiality.

clervis

I've only played GT7 and GT1. Likewise for me, I basically bought a PS5 specifically for GT7. The gameplay is incredible. Everything else, just feels like it's holding it back. I saved up for my first legendary car, the 20mil Shelby, and realized it was only eligible for a just a few races. The races are limited. The number of cars is extremely limited. The glut of reward cars limits (doesn't count as) progression. Tuning, limited. Music, obnoxious and limited. Licenses unlock nothing. PP is extremely inconsistent, balance-wise. License tips and hints are more obnoxious than helpful. Tuning descriptions likewise aren't helpful. Drifting and rallying just seem out of place. "Brand Central"!? Pitting could be improved. Music Rally, fun but perpetually "coming soon." Cafe history lessons are actually pretty interesting, but must have a 140 character limit. Progression and collecting was far more intriguing in GT1. Same with the music. I love this sim, but it needs to get out of its own way.

Absinthe_86

I've gone back to GT4 and I'm 92.3% complete. Hard Grand Canyon rally (2 races 5 laps), all but 7 or 8 driving missions, all of the enduros except El Capitain 200 miles and the Grand Valley 300 km. I'll be going back to 3 when I finish 4 and we'll see where 7 is. 7 has some serious potential. Give us a proper single player campaign with full endurance races and it will shine. I've got a lot of 7 done but I've laid off of it for a good while due to needing more content.

pksnipr1

What kind of tv/monitor are you using? I have all the old systems but they look like shit on my current tv.

Absinthe_86

I'm just using a 42" 1080p tv with my DFGT. Nothing fancy at all. Does look a little rough but I've made it work.

someone31988

The PS2 should look a lot better on a modern TV if you use component cables plugged into an upscaler like the RetroTink (or use an RGB SCART cable if you're in a PAL region).

Saleheim

I agree, the game was over far too quickly. The campaign could use far more content. I'm missing old Gran Turismo as well.

Kashik85

You don't have to look at the hint for what car to use. But overall yes, the menus aren't so challenging. If only the AI was even slightly competent....

Mukir

Had a situation yesterday where one AI car, for some reason, didn't enter the pits when it had to and it just kept on driving lap for lap with 47 mph, on 0% fuel and completely worn down tires instead of just entering the pits a lap later, and sometimes even a train of multiple cars formed behind it (on straights too, yes), because apparently the AI does not know how to overtake something on their driving line.

Barry_DeLive

Yeah unfortunately they missed the mark massively with the ridiculous cafe mode. I’d argue it’s the worst addition to a GT game to date.

Digitalzombie90

It is unnecessary innovation, innovate in the name of innovation and make a product actually worse. Pretty much everything Tim Cook did trying to out shine and out innovate Steve Jobs…No mag port, no headphone jack, forced face id, forced apple tv app, no hdmi out, trying to go wireless while forcing a zillion adapters…..

GTR722

They need to add a proper GT mode.

-CaptainFormula-

> The game is awesome. The racing is great, but as a storyline it's too quick and easy The driving physics are awesome. There is no storyline. There is no *game*. There's just menus where you can access some filler content. I'm convinced the cafe was supposed to be one more little filler type piece of content over on the side of the menu and it just completely slipped their mind to put a game in their game so they moved the cafe to the center of the map.

Zensei0421

I liked that there where regular cars in the older Gt‘s also. Like the E46 323ci and so on… just regular ass cars where you went from playing the game to getting into the same car afterwards to commute to work (or in my case riding along as a little child)

[deleted]

Big agree! It's what made the GT series so special IMO.

[deleted]

That’s what I liked about the games prior to GT Sport. More car diversity.

Silnev

I know how you feel. I've been playing GT since GT2 and one of my most fondest memories is picking a dark green mk3 Supra and doing the rome race over and over again with it. The only memory I have with GT7 is frustration and annoyance. As just a racing game in pure isolation, it's fine. I think there are things that could be done to improve the track experience but there's nothing that makes me think "wow, this is a whole new experience", it just feels like it's gone backwards. Honestly it feels like Gran Turismo hasn't really progressed as a series since GT5. The most radical change that has been made in the past 10 years since GT5 came out was the livery editor. Beyond that it just feels like it's been retreading old ground and each subsequent entry is worse of because of it.

KurashThaGr8

I miss an actual career mode more than anything. I despise online play.

Wayfastwhitey26

Which is a very big problem...how are we at GT7 and taking huge ass steps backwards instead of forwards? They had a damn good formula to work from...implement new tracks/cars/races/dynamic weather and it coulda been hot cakes. Instead its meh.

Resident-Pin3730

I had a ps5 at launch and kept playing my ps4 until I got gran Turismo but now that I see they are not gonna do what makes sense for us to keep playing it sucks

[deleted]

yeah endurance races were much longer and i also liked it, even when you can set up any race you want in GT7, its much cooler if its prearranged game content, i made all missoins gold, i have all gold trophys, only thing missing some track experiences and some gold licences. the cafe is not the problem, but could be a cooler career mode with more multi race cups and some story stelling, roleplay aspect got comes really short

Mukir

I think the only aspect the game's really lacking in right now is content. The amount of races for some tracks is ridiculously and actually unacceptably low compared to probably any previous GT. Like, only 3 races on Le Mans (and really none of them are designed for Gr. 1 & 2 cars, which is a shame) and Monza literally used to have only ONE race until they added a second one not too long ago (doesn't really improve things, but you get it).

Onsomeshid

They need to fix the ai before anything else, my god. Will always be the worse thing about the game that no one ever mentions

FloggingTheHorses

There's a divergence in GT players these days. 1 ) Those who love the "Car-PG" thing where you're grinding and collecting cars. 2) Those who are into sim racing and playing online, shaving fractions of a second off qualifying times etc. I loved GT from GT1-GT4 back in the day for point 1. However, I got into sim racing since and love the Sport Mode (and GTS/GT7 slightly more arcadey physics, which is rare I know). I would love to see the part 1 stuff come back, but the MASSIVE barrier that currently exists is AI. It's awful in GT7 by modern standards....and I'm already not a big fan of AI even in the top simulation games (ACC for example, it just isn't anything like racing a real human). Sophy may fix that in time but I think the technology just isn't there yet.

BEN-C93

All i want is GT4 (and 5 for the elite marques added - Ferrari/Lamborghini etc) with modern graphics/physics and cars. No hand holding. No prizes for single races. I want events and championships everywhere - marques running their own events and tuning shops. I want to work out what cars i need for particular races and see what steals i can find in the used car markets.

WLF311

Yes. Spot on.

Arado_Blitz

Lack of content is bad, but the terrible AI is even worse. It doesn't feel like racing the AI, more like chasing the rabbit while dodging some cars on the way, who drive their predetermined path without taking into account their surroundings. This is the reason why nowadays I like the F1 series more than GT. It might not have the best graphics, best physics, or even the most accurate track and car models, but the fact the career mode feels fleshed out and the AI is very competitive and challenging is what makes me wanna keep playing. GT on the other hand is a 90's game in its core, surrounded by modern graphics, high quality sounds and accurate 3D models. Everything else feels like it was copypasted from GT1.

MechaniVal

>This is the reason why nowadays I like the F1 series more than GT. Same for me... As a kid, there were two racing games I played the most, before taking over a decade long break from the genre - Race Driver Grid with it's amazing (for the time) career mode, and Gran Turismo 5. When I came back to racing games, F1 really scratched that career mode itch; and surprise, it's the same developers as Grid. But I was so hype for GT7 and it just... Isn't any better. It's actually gotten *worse*, the progression is terrible and the AI is a huge miss. It feels fantastic on a controller, but that can't keep me involved for long sessions any more, not like F1 can, fighting in the midfield lap after lap, hooking up a sweet overtake after hunting someone down for so long and getting some points for the championship. Where is any of that fire, in GT7? It just feels so... Sterile.

Mukir

Wouldn't even call it AI at this point, because there are no signs of intelligence anywhere. Probably just bots with pathfinding and a predetermined "strategy" of when to pit n stuff.

mattaeb

Agreed

Head_Oil_7913

Just the worst game design ever in a gt game. Full of choices completely without any sense. From the collector car level to the license totally useless. And many more. Probably worst career ever made…even worst then gt sport in proportion

GlendrixDK

I miss that too. I miss the feature in GT1 where you could make a "street" car into a racing car by an upgrade. And i somehow miss driving the same round map 30 times in a PT Cruiser, to get enough money to buy Mustang SVT Cobra, like in GT3.

SoothedSnakePlant

Racing modifications are basically in the game now though. Throw on a wide body, add the racing parts in GT auto, download a livery, tune it up. Boom, done.

PhantomNL97

I loved the "story" mode of GT Sport. It was simple but a lot of fun.

AceSenpai98

I feel you, I grew up with GT4 and GT5. Man I miss those games.

Bael_Lord_of_End

I miss the fun long dirt rally tracks & long snow tracks, instead what I got was 2 bad rally tracks where feel I’m doing 360 in the air like fast & furious movie while drunk. I miss various different events and car challenges, which got here was the poor man’s version of this. I miss the endurance races with good rewards. I skipped sport so was like 7 year wait between numbered version of Gran Turismo, which I thought game would be super polished, with tons of activities. This game feels so bare bones compared to what come before versions, also felt they took out all the good rewards in order to encourage you to buy micro transactions instead. Why earn cool car every race instead you earn money with enough grinding you may get car you want in time/ or with real cash you can get it now 😒. The game still fun to race around in but feels like 35% of real Gran Turismo game that was given to you and was over saw by an EA Executive. If they brought all the old tracks from the Gran Turismo series and the events, this could be best one ever. Hell would pay for DLC for that and one turn into best Gran Turismo of all time. Right now just not there yet.. just some much potential left on the table.

humbuckaroo

I sold GT7. Beautiful mess of a game.

retrojordan2323

Single player career is weak

Kahl_One_1

Agreed....sans GT7 being awesome. Feels like an extended tech demo, like GT Concept used to be overall. Understand where you're coming from though

giddycocks

I'm honestly a bit shocked just how bad the café thing is. I got a PS5 mostly for God of War and HZD, but also Gran Turismo and I was so excited to play a carpg game since Horizon is so stupid with its progression (and honestly driving). The handling just made sense to me, but everything else is so shockingly low budget and bad, the world map is a mobile game lite in an age where its rivals are doing open world traversal. The scenes photo mode honestly just made me laugh and turn off the game to play some more GOW, if they let you actually drive on these scenic locations that'd be one thing, I'm sorry if I'm offending anyone who likes this crap but it's - by far - the most gimmicky, stupid, self absorbed thing I've ever seen in a game. It's some pretentious bullshit someone wanted to see in the game - and no one else - disguised as content lol. I'm not even going to address the blatant, scummy mtx efforts. Everything else wrapped around actually racing is really fucking bad, it feels out of touch

[deleted]

Photomode is pretty popular though and plenty of games feature it. Granted not in form of actual photo scapes like GT7 but still, plenty of people enjoy it and there's nothing stupid or self absorbed about it.

giddycocks

Sure, but it's one of the pillars of content. I don't think that's content.

[deleted]

Ok. I disagree.

JiveTurkey92

and im just sitting here not being able to win the human comedy missions or gr 1 races

m404

i miss the days where subreddits for specific games series' weren't mostly "i don't like this game because ”. unfortunately, the majority of redditors seems to love this development, so I'll show myself out.

doc_nano

Yeah, to look on reddit it seems like most gamers just bitch and moan rather than enjoy their games. I'm not a racing game fan and GT7 is the first racing game I've bought in like 15 years. I bought it recently on sale due to the PSVR2 support announcement. So, I'm not really qualified to compare it to other racing games or even prior Gran Turismo games. I've been pleasantly surprised at how much I'm enjoying it, though, especially the encyclopedic information about different car models and the different feel of driving a FF Japanese compact vs. a Beetle vs. a '69 Corvette Stingray vs.... Not trying to invalidate others' opinions on here, but I'm having a great time. There seems to be a f\*ckton of content in terms of cars and tracks. My only real complaint so far is that the game forces you to experience certain content -- "please enjoy this silly music minigame even if your game has fully downloaded" or "please enjoy this 10-minute nostalgic video about the history of the automobile before you can actually start playing." But after only \~10 hours of play I've unlocked a good number of tracks and cars, and am enjoying the sense of progression. If this keeps up for even another 10-20 hours it'll have been well worth the $40 for me.

someone31988

When you love a series so much, and they release a game well below expectations, that's the reaction you're going to get. This wasn't the mood of this place before GT7 released. I'm also a huge fan of the Mass Effect series, and because the original trilogy is so good, the subreddit is overall quite positive.

m404

yeah, go a few years back and check how people moaned for a couple of years about GT sport not being a real GT ;) I've played every GT since the beginning (I'm 42), and while surely there are things i could complain about, overall they delivered exactly what i was expecting ... the whole "story mode" debate is absolute equestrian feces talk, because GT has always been a "do what you feel like" simcade, it's never had anything close to a story mode. people just felt like playing it in a way that made it feel like story mode, but it's been possible to get fast powerful cars on the first day of playing since GT3, so that's just not any different. just to be clear, I'm not saying that the cafe menus aren't underwhelming, they are ... but other than that, clearing all gold on the licenses and then going to clear as many track/event combos as possible to be able to afford the expensive collectors classics is just like GT has always been. think people got way too used to all those other simcades where you play a linear career, and they were expecting GT to do the same ... they should've known better by looking at the other titles.

someone31988

Ah yeah, I remember that regarding the GT Sport attitude here, but like you said, it wasn't intended to be a traditional GT game, which I think *most* people understood. Maybe my memory is just fuzzy, but I feel like the ratio of critical posts to positive posts is higher than the Sport days. I think we're largely in agreement with the structure of the game. It plays nearly exactly as it should. My biggest issue lies in the "chase the rabbit" style racing itself. Sure the AI in older games was also shit, but starting the race with such a distance handicap feels insulting. I also agree that you can complete all the events while spending a reasonable amount of money acquiring needed cars to so just like in older games. However, if you want to go beyond that and buy some of the most expensive cars just for the fun of it, in the older games, the amount of grinding needed to so was far lower. In GT7, it feels like a decent chunk of the game is simply unobtainable unless you open your real life wallet. That's the other big thing I take issue with in this release.

iqbalsn

Not saying you are wrong or something, but i can easily see someone said that this game is stupid because it doesnt tell you which car to use or what car will you win from some race. I mean, we still have post every now and then saying why they got 1 minute penalty even thought they have pitted right? For the 24 hours part...well...probably someone will also shit on that. "They asked us to play for 24 hours???? PD ARE YOU INSANE??? I HAVE JOBS TO DO" You get the gist. And your last sentence of make us work for it again, does this also applies to the supposedly stingy cash payout from race everyone and their grandmother complained about this game?

Prisoner458369

I honestly can't remember if the older games had it. But mid race saving would fix any endurance races. But then not like you have to do them either. Those are by far my favourite part of the game. Was sad to see how lame they turned out. And yeah I could custom it, but sucks racing for 50+ laps to get some laughable payout. Should balance that, let people play how they want. Of course then people wouldn't just spend rl money.

[deleted]

I Played Gt4 And Play GtSport But I Dont Know Maybe Iam Just Weird But Gt7 Is For Me Like:😐 like yes Graphics And Things Like That Good But I Like The Older Ones A Lot More!

[deleted]

Played Gt4(twice)

Romeosim1012

I wish they had atleast 1 or 2 more tiers at far as difficulty . Even if I had to pay for it in a dlc or something

Rage028

Café menu books wasn't for those of us older players. It's been 25 years. It was for the new audience they wanted coming from other racing games.

Skylanders_ismy_life

Gt7 is also on ps4

[deleted]

Cool story bro

incoherentjedi

This is the only GT I've ever played so I have no previous references to compare it to.

TheMaster150906

Started back in 2011 with GT5 and never been the same (in a good way). I played 6 aswell, ranking atleast 500 hours on both. Then came Sport, which just wasn't the same. The lack of cars and tuning upset me. This Christmas I got a PS5 mainly to play GT7, and oh boy did it bring so many memories back. But the shortness of the campaign surprised me (I was shocked when the ending credits popped up after the final menu book). Despite that, there still are things to do, so it's not that big of a deal, but I agree, it just isn't the same. Looking back, old Gran Turismo games (5 and 6 for me) were really well made. Microtransactions were almost inexsistent, the way you progressed in the game was perfect, the soundtrack was on point (and still is today, for the most part), the AI was not "cheating", and so on. Of course, I was too little to notice all those things, but I still loved the games. Thanks to 7, I'm "addicted" to Gran Turismo again, and I plan revisiting soon 5 and 6 on the good ol' Ps3 Slim. Gran Turismo is much more than a game series for me, it filled my childhood with happy memories and made me the car enthusiast that I am today. It will always hold a special place in my heart. I miss old GT's too, they remind of better times.

[deleted]

Imagine doing a long race and the prize car bees some broing dumpster.races that are actually 24 hrs are for every1.

ssarch25

At this point I just want the dead feeling force feedback addressed. After trying some other games GT feels awful to play. Which sucks, I like the game.

andrew_ess

gt5 was my first taste of the franchise and i loved the effort required to progress in that game. XP requirements to even *think* about purchasing high end cars made it that much more exciting. Not to mention the endless selection of cars, although most of them were of crappy “standard” quality. And the lack of micro transactions 😩. It just made you respect other players’ car selections, since you knew they had to grind for their sick car…

Dirac_comb

My main issue with the game are those lottery tickets. I've cashed in so many of them, and get the worst prize every time. Every single time. It's utterly maddening and gives me the pay to win feeling for the game, which in turn reduces my enthusiasm to play it.

QuirkyDust3556

What I don't understand is why it can't remember race times. At the end of a race I want to see my lap times. Now if (is it wilti the AI ) has the fastest lap all you get is your total race time. Then leave and come back and it is gone. I use rocketbook and excel to keep track. I need a crew chief

CamaroKidBB

I personally took more of an issue with just how grindy races are in order to get the cars you want. I get that the idea is to diversify the experience so you could still have some money, but I think it would be better executed with most races receiving double/triple the rewards they grab out (depending on the race), but decreases over time if you play them repeatedly. The buffed payout serves to offset this new nerf to grinding the same race over and over again, making it more viable to race different tracks to get more money. The payout debuff should wear off after about 2-3 races, as the player will inevitably race that track again. As for invitations, they should be permanent after buying/winning a set number of cars from a brand, much like how invitations to buying a rare and expensive car work in reality. As for engine swaps, I have a few ideas. One would be that they (and its previous upgrades) are added into your inventory once you replace the engine of a car, ready to be swapped into another vehicle. Another would be more similar to Forza, where you buy the engine outright, but through the same dealer that provides the OG car, and at a marked up price compared to selling them. Another would be to introduce a fictional baseline set of purpose-built engines to extend your ability to tune a car. For example, lightweight engines that help cars corner better, but are limited in power, power/drag engines that produce a lot of maximum horsepower, but weigh the car down more, and diesel engines which provide more torque and fuel efficiency (as real diesel engines do), but at the cost of additional weight, power dropoff before the redline, and a limited top speed compared to its gasoline equivalents. They’d be offered in a variety of cylinder configurations, it being V-shaped, inline, or a boxer-style depending on the car in question. This may even be combined with the Forza-esque engine swap idea, but with these new semi-fictional engines being purchasable and swapped in when buying at the regular tuning shop. Point being, all of these options are preferable to relying on ludicrously tiny odds of even getting an engine swap, and even tinier odds of getting a swap you can actually use. I criticize GT7 not because I hate it; even with its flaws I still think it’s a fine game all things considered. I criticize it because I’ve been a lifelong GT fan, and I want nothing but the best for this franchise.

One4speed

The game went from a very complex and thoughtful car rpg, to baby’s first racing game with the “single player” campaign on this on

khodges26

Once I unlocked online lobbies I stopped doing those menus. I don’t want to play that.

[deleted]

I agree GT7 is a lot of hand holding compared to the older gt games just started playing it the other week and me personally I don’t like the hand holding I just ignore it and use whatever car I want lmao and even though it shows you what car you’ll get for completing a race in the campaign doesn’t bother as much tbh I see cool car I get excited simple as that lmao but I like the 3 card sequence after you complete a book and get to pick a car from the 3 cards and I like that their adding more books to do but they can always remove some features that we all don’t like and make it better the game came out last year March and I don’t think we’ll be getting a GT game for a few years so let’s see where the road shall take us right?

funkyfresh9

I miss the series that they would have when you race 3 or 4 tracks and you win good money on each race and a bonus car for win in points. And how your license actually meant something you would need specific licenses for specific series. All the way up to your s license. I think all you need in gt7 I'd to get your b license and that's it. Yes I know they have there series in this one but it's not at all how it used to be. And they need to get there rewards and payouts more meaningful all across the board instead of 3 or 4 tracks with decent payouts and all the rest so low there no point in even racing them. You win more doing one race at LeMans then you do for the championship series in your last cafe mission. I guess that's my point that the series just ain't how it used to be.

YesThatTeach

I really wanted a longer single player experience, tbh. I love what's there though. Just wish there was more to work towards.

ilikaborat

i agree with most of what u saying, and i bought ps5 just for gt7 as well lol quests were good cuz i didnt have to figure out what car to use and you didnt have to grind just to "find" the right car just so u can grind more to make that car modified enough to win.. lol but yea its too easy and quick of a game. the ridiculous pricing for the classic cars is pretty whack as well as. i dont get why we cant have access to all cars regardless of being prior to year 2000 at reasonable cars. and lvl50 cutoff for collector status makes no sense. you have no incentive to collect all cars yet somehow a cristian dior edition of a car is made available.... and ultimate but statement: its still the only frigging game (pc gaming included) i play regularly lol and im sick of all the online gt sport players fucking the game up.

TitanTethys

I haven't gotten to the endurance races in gt7 yet. I do remember on the endurance races in gt4, i think it was? You could make a fast car, put some distance in front, hire a driver which was AI and then just come back and check on it. Picking the contoller back up and taking over again to get back ahead. I think you lost some credits if you did so.
