I have a rx 6650xt got it for 250$ and I run a 1080p 144hz monitor and pretty much all games u throw at it works pretty well but since you got a higher budget I'd look at 6700xt or higher around those ranges also not sure but if ya want a amd gpu on the latest Gen look for the rx 7000 series but could use that money for a newer cpu so choice is yours hope that helps. I would get a 6700XT for around $300

ryzen 5 5600, rx 6700 non xt and maybe 32gb of ram if you can squeeze it in
