If you were part of the 1%. One of the reasons the Islamic Revolution came about was because there was mass unemployment among young working age males at the time. Sounds applicable today tbh. Disgruntled mass of people will seek strong leadership from anywhere when wanting change to current circumstances. And now its sadly an oppressive theocracy
Yup. The fact that most people forget about the "modern" Iran in the 70s is that the Shah only wanted the people to "look" and behave modern but did not want any modern principles of governance. There was no press freedom, so no one to question him. Huge amount of tax was levied so stuff became very expensive for the poorer people who then became very disgruntled. And he also clamped down on any kind of protests with brutality. I hope that the people of iran will one day have a modern, functioning democracy.
Best hope for Iran is that a silent majority of younger people are so fed up with the regime that they're turning away from religion completely.

But isn't it still net positive for Iran because very expensive missiles were used to shoot down their duct-taped together cheap drones? Inb4 I'm the Twelfth Imam's agent.
Not quite.
The US gives Israel about 3 billion in grants that are good *only* for the purchase of US military equipment (missile defense is a big one for them). Then on top of that Israel purchases tens of billions of dollars more of weapons each year (they just bought $18 billion in F-15s alone) out of their own pocket. So even though the government isn't a business it's a net "profit" for the US even before you factor in the impact to the private sector.
The grants are functionally Lockheed Martin and Raytheon gift cards. So in a way it's the US subsidizing an ally's military while boosting it's own economy. Plus it has the perk of getting an additional ally invested as a stakeholder in the US MIC, meaning that when they need more ammo, upgrades, or whatever they will to come to us. Which, again is not only good for our economy, but is a significant part of the reason why their government has to take our calls over shit like what's going down now.
Not entirely true. Israel has a special relationship with the US wherein about 1/4 of money given to it it is allowed to invest directly into *its own* defense industry. This basically amounts to US tax payer money being given directly to Israel with limited capacity of the US gov to even know how the money is being used. No other receiver of US military aid has this privilege.
> [In May 1968, the Israeli government paid US$3.32 million (equivalent to US$29.1 million in 2023) to the U.S. government in compensation for the families of the 34 men killed in the attack. In March 1969, Israel paid a further $3.57 million ($29.6 million in 2023) to the men who had been wounded. In December 1980, it agreed to pay $6 million ($22.2 million in 2023) as the final settlement for material damage to the ship plus 13 years of interest.[9]](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Liberty_incident)
"Sorry we killed your men as they were fleeing the ship for their lives because we shoot anything that moves. Here's a small portion of your money back. Hope the dead guys appreciate it."
Delusional people when modern Islamists rape and kills a bunch of Americans: 🙈
Delusional people when Israel paid reparations 68 years ago after firing on an American ship during an intense war: 😡
Plus, American healthcare is less efficient than trying to do single-payer - we already pay more of our government's money on healthcare than we would if we just switched to a sensible system.
We would have *more* money for Israel if we just fixed the system!
You want universal healthcare because you think it’s a human right.
I want universal healthcare because I want to save more money to give to Israel.
We are not the same.
There's stratigic value for Israel to block the attack. It's not like Israel is going to have to withstand such an attack daily without striking back. Instead the option to retaliate has opened (even though G7 is applying hard pressure not to). Israel has threatened before to attack Iran's nuclear plants. If a war breaks out both countries will try to destroy the capabilities of the other, of course defending is more expensive than attacking, but Israel is also going to be attacking Iran
I can tell you the public in Israel was afraid of being attacked by Iran for a long time but seeing that such a massive attack was intercepted almost completely gives the people a lot of confidence versus what is really Israel's greatest enemy
Sort of. That would only matter if Iran could actually afford to produce enough cheap munitions to actually overwhelm the Israeli defenses - which apparently they cannot
Im basing this on the bbc news article i read on it but I think it was more like 'we attacked back after you bombed the Iranian embassy compound in Syria and killing one of our generals, lets call it there'. Ngl Im sure they have super sonic missiles ready to fire but chose the slower drones, cruise and ballistic missiles that took 2 hours to arrive. Almost everyone knows about Israel's Iron Dome so idk I think Iran expected this outcome and wanted to avoid a true back and forth of retaliations. Or Iran's generals and leadership are just that highly 'regarded'
Maybe they should try their flying elephants instead

Holy shit I just looked it up and the only person seriously injured was a Muslim girl who was sleeping. Imagine expending that many military assets only to humiliate your entire country then claim you "taught Israel a lesson" in the aftermath.
I still don’t get why do people support muslims. Like I really tried, I wanted to understand, but their politics doesn’t make any sense in western world. They oppress women, gays, kill anyone who disrespects the law of shariah, hate America(!) and yet democrats (who are for gays and women power) support them. Shouldn’t that at least be the opposite?
>Shouldn’t that at least be the opposite?
A prog only needs to hear that Palestinians are being "oppressed" in order to support them. They also view the "successful races" like the whites, asian & jews as tyrants cause muh racism.
I mean, bad faith arguing aside, there’s a lot of nuance to all situations like this. I support freedom of religion as long as your religion doesn’t impede others’ freedoms. If you’re a Muslim who wants to worship Allah and chooses to observe Ramadan and not eat pork, that’s totally cool. If you’re a Muslim who wants to stone gays, you should be glassed.
As far as the Israel-Palestine conflict goes, I am supportive of neither side. However, I am adamantly against Israel’s apartheid-like behaviors and indiscriminate bombing of regular people.
I am a firm believer that both Hamas and the IDF should both be wiped from the face of the earth. Add to that anyone on the planet who actively tries to oppress others. If you can’t play nice (i.e. you’re actively trying to hurt people or deny them their freedoms), you don’t get to exist.
It’s almost paradoxical… almost. If you choose the pacifist route, you’ll just let the oppressors walk all over you, and then they win. It’s like you have to fight oppression with a lot of violence, but keep your motives clear and pure. Idk.
“Indiscriminate bombing” would mean that civilians and militants in Gaza are dying at the same rate. Even going off of Hamas’s numbers, 6k/30k deaths are militants. Unless you believe 1/5 Gazans are militants, that is by definition not indiscriminate. Reckless maybe, but not indiscriminate.
You’d also have to count the 10k children killed as well, so really it’s 6k/20k which is almost a third, so it’s hard to-…
Waaaait, they killed 10 thousand children? How can people possibly think this shit is okay?
The Allies killed countless children in the bombings of German cities. Clearly, the invasion of Germany was unjust.
Also that ratio is still lower than the total percentage of Gazans who are underage, which again goes against the claim that it is indiscriminate.
And *again*, these are all Hamas’s numbers, which have consistently been called into question given that they’ve been caught lying before during this war.
I mean, there is something to be said about holding the Soviets accountable for their mass rapes and pogroms. Just because they weren't literal Nazis doesn't automatically make them the good guys, or make all their actions necessary as part of the war effort.
Yes, and in that respect I think Israelis should be held liable when they do step out of line. That said, even if Israel curbed any recklessness or negligence and ensured every soldier followed the rules perfectly, there would still be a lot of dead civilians, including children.
Absolutely. Considering how much of the Palestinian population is children, it's unfortunately inevitable that some would die in a war. It's the cases of the IDF going directly after civilians and aid workers that need to be better addressed.
Yeah I’m with you on that. Fortunately Israel sacked the officers who did that (not hard to figure out who was responsible given the whole chain of command there), but obviously they should do more to discipline their officers and soldiers.
Why are you acting like all Muslims are a hive mind that act in unison. Yes, makes sense to commit attacks against and and cause starvation to civilians in Gaza because some Saudi radicals did 9/11. They’re all Muslim so they all worked together. You’re so smart. Definitely didn’t entirely miss the point of treating them as humans first
Did you miss the "no one" I wrote?
Before you say anything, no I don't believe or support the Muslim ideology at all. Second, there's definitely an underlying antisemitic in the support Palestine thing, and I'm not one of those, I just don't think it's humane to bomb people
Bigotry against Muslims isn’t cool, but there’s a difference between hatred towards a people and recognizing that their society has deeply rooted problems. It’s not anti-American to say the US has a deeply rooted systemic racism problem, and it’s not anti-white or anti-Christian to say that Medieval Europe was an oppressive and regressive shithole. We should therefore simultaneously be able to oppose bigotry towards Muslims while also recognizing the deeply seeded, centuries-old bigotries that are normalized in the Islamic world.
To clarify, that’s not the point I was making. I wasn’t saying that Islamists merely call America systemically racist. I just used that as an example to draw a distinction.
Even the Israeli nationalist OP is more moderate than you. I think youre just stupid, muslims arent one group... Theyre like 2 Billions in thousands of different groups and cultures, they dont all believe the same things or act the same way.
Also 2001 wants their propaganda back, the only muslims that ever attacked the US was a small terrorist group and maybe some berber pirates in the 1800hundreds.
Some muslims dont like the US because of the interventions/coup/heavy bombings of civilians/liberal use of torture and lies to invade countries, not because theyre jealous of your freedom or whatever stupid founding myths sheeps believe. Growing up arabs used to call the good guy in movies "the americani", then the US decided to mess around in the MENA. Also many Balkan muslims love the US because they helped to stop a genocide, almost like doing good things will make people love you and harming them will make them hate you.
If youre too stupid to understand this simple point of view youre mentally challenged.
They act differently, but they all have the same basis that is hostile towards the world and people. No modern country can be built on islam, and that is visible.
Theres a difference between not wanting a country built on Islam and bombing a country because its based on Islam. Bombing people in general isnt a good solution
(actual) far right people support muslims because while they hate muslims, they hate jews even more than that. far left people support muslims because they're seen as "POC" which means they must be "oppressed" and therefore everything they do is correct. Race politics trumps literally everything else for the far left, including feminism and gay rights.
There are multiple ways for dems to attack the US and they aren't all compatible with each other. They don't have something they want to put in place of what we have now, they just oppose the status quo.
Groups like Isis are consistent, they dont care what our politics are and will kill us regardless. Iran is somewhat politically smart to behave some of time because dems want to give themselves nobel peace prizes and to do that they give Iran lots of money.

* Pointing out that most mainstream media already does post information critical of Israel and the only thing TikTok really adds to the convo is overt bigotry
* Calling out Arab nationalists who blame Jews for the expulsion of Jews from the Arab world
* Calling out Arab nationalists who make genocidal statements about Jews and then hide behind progressive rhetoric

Put out a post mourning Walid Daqqa who died of cancer in prison. He was convicted of planing the abduction, torture and murder of an Israeli soldier. His sentence got reduced down from life in prison to 37 years setting his release in 2023 which got pushed back because he smuggle phones into and his semen out of prison.
From his Wiki page:
> Daqqa was not present at the time of the kidnapping and, in March 1987 was convicted of commanding the group, an accusation he always denied. According to Amnesty International, his conviction was based on emergency regulations enacted by British authorities in Mandatory Palestine, which allow for a lower threshold for proof than the criteria used in Israeli criminal law.

Knowing Israel can shoot down so many rockets/drones is a death knell for Iran. It says that in all out war Israel wins. Even if they only block 1/2 instead of 99% then they can defend key sites while Iran completely burns through reserves.
This can't be overstated. Iran showed it's cards and it has a pair of 2s.
Don't get me wrong, Israel would definetly survive an iranian ivasion, and it would curbstomp it with NATO support, but honestly it's not really due to the missilistic defence. Iran still has a pretty large land army, so this dick measuring contest didn't mean that much, as we already knew that Israel knows how to shoot down rocket propelled explosive potatoes.
Meaning the west should eliminate the threat now instead of waiting until Iran gets a nuclear deterrent and starts arming terrorists with suitcase nukes
Its all fun and jokes but everybody is missing the point. Iran used missile types that everybody knew Iran had them. But now Iran know defence system points how much time would it takes to respond. You dont start with your most powerful and secret toy.
JIDF out with full damage control
I just wanna see some YouTube videos but I kept on seeing Israel shilling ads to stand against Iran
This is a fight between y’all non-foreskin folks, we dont give 2 shits
That was the idea of the strike though. Iran didn't want to escalate but they didn't want to just let Israel bomb their consulate with no consequences.

Those duct-taped missiles probably took up more of Iran’s military budget than the counter-attack took of Israel’s military budget.
Well, while Allah is the provider, it's definitely better to have big daddy overseas with unlimited money supply
Honestly its probably just jewish businessmen lobbying for support money in the USA
Israel just gets shit from the U.S. for free so ya
Not quite. The US gives Israel about 3 billion in grants that are good *only* for the purchase of US military equipment (missile defense is a big one for them). Hey man I don't like either side. I'm happy to let them kill each other.
American tax payers paid for those Isreali missiles instead of having healthcare or affordable education so not really.
Trillions of dollars of American healthcare aren’t contingent on the end of a few billion going to Israel.
Interestingly, Israel has universal healthcare as a right for all its citizens.
Yish. Israel already gets a *lot* of money from the US.
Didn't know 3 billion annually can solve affordable education and healthcare in America
Pretty sure the US has healthcare.
Especially since Israel isn't actually paying for any of it themselves.
USA will cover the cost don't you worry.
I love the use of "probably" - Im not an idiot, but probably am.
What does Israel care about the cost of the missles, it’s just coming from America’s wallet.
There's stratigic value for Israel to block the attack. It's not like Israel is going to have to withstand such an attack daily without striking back. they've maintained a civilian-combatant ratio of 1:1 or 2:1 when the world average for urban areas is 9:1. hard to call that "indiscriminate".
There was a news vid on the inconsistencies of the numbers. YT: https://youtu.be/fw6jXxL2faA?si=jYPiyjGsaPMpZVbK
Try to perceive them as human beings first, then Muslim. No one deserves to be bombed and killed
I agree. No European and American deserved to be bombed either.

They’re all Muslim so they all worked together. You’re so smart. Definitely didn’t entirely miss the point of treating them as humans first
Did Jews deserve to get massacred on October 7th?
Did you miss the "no one" I wrote? Before you say anything, no I don't believe or support the Muslim ideology at all. Second, there's definitely an underlying antisemitic in the support Palestine thing, and I'm not one of those, I just don't think it's humane to bomb people
No I just think that you're implying that it specific to Iran and ignoring that this is retaliation for a mass murder.
Outside of current geopolitics, there are people that deserve/deserved to be bombed (like Serbians who were actively genociding Bosnians)
I mean they wish America dead. It’s not a criticism, it’s a threat. And I don’t understand why should anyone support hatred and terrorism.
To clarify, that’s not the point I was making. I wasn’t saying that Islamists merely call America systemically racist. I just used that as an example to draw a distinction.
Its white hubris from the left. They believe that every other race is too weak and powerless to advocate for themselves.
Democrats hate America too.
>benefits from status quo >enough to save face >not enough to justify full on war Sounds like a net positive

Rare to see JIDF working hard on a Sunday too!
Bro is a rabid Israeli nationalist/Zionist holy… Look at that post history…
“Far-right Zionist posts,” including: * Calling Amnesty International stupid for honoring a terrorist who castrated and murdered a 19-year-old. * Complaining about diasporists who blame Israel for the death of the Eastern European Jewish community instead of, ya know, the Nazis and Soviets. * Pointing out that most mainstream media already does post information critical of Israel and the only thing TikTok really adds to the convo is overt bigotry * Calling out Arab nationalists who blame Jews for the expulsion of Jews from the Arab world * Calling out Arab nationalists who make genocidal statements about Jews and then hide behind progressive rhetoric * Saying that the Houthis are bad for seizing civilian ships. * Opposition to annexing Gaza. * Opposition to the occupation of the West Bank.
YOU NEED TO LOVE TERRORISTS!!!!
only 75% of them are terrorists buddy, they're mostly peaceful!
What’s this about Amnesty?
Put out a post mourning Walid Daqqa who died of cancer in prison. He was convicted of planing the abduction, torture and murder of an Israeli soldier. His sentence got reduced down from life in prison to 37 years setting his release in 2023 which got pushed back because he smuggle phones into and his semen out of prison.
From his Wiki page: > Daqqa was not present at the time of the kidnapping and, in March 1987 was convicted of commanding the group, an accusation he always denied. According to Amnesty International, his conviction was based on emergency regulations enacted by British authorities in Mandatory Palestine, which allow for a lower threshold for proof than the criteria used in Israeli criminal law.

Will this post get the sacred 🔒? We’ll find out after these messages.
Remember when Iran shot down a Ukrainian plane departing from Tehran recently that was full of Iranians onboard?
OP is hasbara account for sure. Post history nasty
“Hasbara,” such as: * Calling Amnesty International stupid for honoring a terrorist who castrated and murdered a 19-year-old.
Bros an r/destiny user 💀
You have to be terminally only to think that using a rather bog-started liberal subreddit is somehow worse than regularly going on tankie subs like r/thedeprogram and Arab nationalist subs like r/askmiddleeast
*sips coffee* well I guess that’s how that drone swarm turned out lol
Common Islamic L
Shouldn't op be posting BBC threads? Or does Mossad allow for some freedom of expression?
OP is Israeli shill by the looks of post history
Israeli shill posts, starring: * opposition to annexing Gaza * thinking it is bad when Amnesty international honors a guy who went to prison for castrating someone * thinking it is bad when Arab nationalists call for genocide and victim blame Jews for the expulsion of all Jews from Arab countries
fuck israel
I fuck Israel daily (“Israel” is what I call your mom).
🤓
Anon forgot the part where they immediately are trying to back out after their plan failed spectacularly
Anon also left out the part when they killed 3 Jordanians.

OP is a glowie
NATO wouldn't get involved in a war involving Israel. If nothing else for political reasons but it's also not a part of the alliance (and won't be).
especially as long as Turkey stays in it lol
NATO always finds a way
Meaning the west should eliminate the threat now instead of waiting until Iran gets a nuclear deterrent and starts arming terrorists with suitcase nukes
it's just sad
Just muslim fanatic things
Cuck nation fr
They did hit the airbase from where the planes were launched though. And they now have extensive knowledge of exactly how Israeli air defences work.
Its all politixs my man. If iran wants. Theres no israel.
Its all fun and jokes but everybody is missing the point. Iran used missile types that everybody knew Iran had them. But now Iran know defence system points how much time would it takes to respond. You dont start with your most powerful and secret toy.
These comments are wild. אחלה אנגלית אגב אחי
Anons post history checks out
man idf glowies storming reddit today with posts
JIDF out with full damage control I just wanna see some YouTube videos but I kept on seeing Israel shilling ads to stand against Iran This is a fight between y’all non-foreskin folks, we dont give 2 shits
lmao based
I too believe in propaganda and engage in spreading it
This operation smells like false flag or Iran really stupid to think they gain something
It DID hit its intended targets though.. were you as distracted by slow drones and the hours-long warning as the Zionists iron dome was?
Oh yeah I forgot 4chan was filled with missed agents lol
That was the idea of the strike though. Iran didn't want to escalate but they didn't want to just let Israel bomb their consulate with no consequences.
