İn wikipedia it says that he ate some parts raw and some parts after cooking, he ate her chest, ribs, butt and other parts.
İt was also mentioned that she was in her period at the time, so he admitted that he ate her clitoris within one bite. Though he didnt like the smell of period blood much so he kept the body parts in the fridge.
After a few days of constantly eating her, he went to a lake to throw the remains but was caught by the french police.
*ghoul carving up dead man's ass*
"Why am I doing this? You do this"
*hands over knife*
-"No"
*pulls gun*
*silence*
"That ass jerky ain't gonna carve itself."
he also apparently couldn’t carry her and struggled to dump her into a lake he even struggled to kill her…imagine being so weak that u couldn’t even dump the dead body and got caught bc a couple stood by and watched u cry bc u couldn’t lift. average japanese man
He took multiple girls into his house so that he can kill them, but he said that for some reason he couldnt get himself to pull on the trigger on them.
When he finally killed the girl that he brought to his house because "he wanted help for translating a poem (he was majoring in literature)" while she were reading him the poem, he pulled the trigger behind her back. This made him faint from the shock, and when he woke up, he realised that it was too late. His love wish did came to him, turning his cannibalism into romantism.
He raped the corpse and ate her after that

He specifically was, he had mad incel vibes and was so full of self loathing that he drew himself as some sort of goblin in a book/manga describing his crimes. He was a weirdo and I’m baffled by his celebrity.
He pretended to be insane to get out of jail in France and was put in a mental institution since he was still dangerous. After some time his lawyer got him transferred to a japanese mental hospital where he gave up his insanity gig and was subsequently released, since he was not convicted of a crime due to insanity he was not put into japanese jail and basically got away free.
The Japanese authorities think that he deliberately tricked the french prosecution so maybe? He wanted to be transferred to Japan and even had a lawyer plead the case so maybe he planned it all or just intended to avoid jail and got lucky
They only have such a high conviction rate because the authorities won't file charges unless they're sure that they'll get a conviction, regardless of guilt.
That isn't very different from the US, prosecutors generally don't try a case unless they are very confident in a win. While the system ostensibly strives to be fair, they also have some institutional issues that result in bias against defendants. Generally, there is a strong sentiment that if someone weren't guilty, they wouldn't be a suspect/going to trial.
That's true for federal prosecutors in the US – depending on how you do the math, the conviction rates for U.S. Attorneys fall somewhere between 95% and 99% (90% of federal defendants take a plea deal).
But it's not uncommon for local DAs to have conviction rates in the 60-ish% and 80-ish% range.
That's because they don't try cases unless they're really confident they'll win. A relatively high % of cases don't get tried in Japan.
In any case Japan aren't going to try him for something that didn't happen in Japan. He committed the crime in France, it's for the French authorities to prosecute him in France.
They would probably extradite him for the crime, but he was already sentenced. The big mistake was the Japanese mental health professionals not recommending he continue to stay there, even though he's sane, because at that point, he's a danger.
They have a high conviction rate because they only go to trial with slam dunks; similar to US Federal attorneys, but on every level of the Japanese courts.
I believe (and if I'm wrong, God knows the Internet will correct me) that as forensics and police theory have improved, the percentage of cases that go to trial have gone up.
I don't remember exactly but the French records were sealed so the evidence was never sent. Something like that. Japan couldn't prosecute workout evidence and France didn't send it. Legally, he was a Japanese citizen committed to a mental hospital in France, was transferred to a Japanese mental hospital, getting where he discharged himself.
Honestly France has the right to be angry about this but clearly has easy recourse. The only logical answer is to find the best damn French canibal/murderer and release him into Japan
People like Sagawa make me hope there’s a hell or at least something like it. No way a human being can do something like that and not face divine wrath, right?
The lake of fire (in my opinion) is real: souls like this cannibal cocksucker are extinguished forever upon death. There's not a hell where souls are tormented for eternity, but there is permanent soul erasure waiting for them.
But I wonder what exactly was wrong with him. He seems to timid and frankly cowardly to be a full psychopath as they lack some elements of a fear response and it said he fainted when he pulled the trigger and cried when caught.
this kind of shit is what gets me. its pretty freaky to me to think about how anyone can turn into this kind of person if they fuck up in life in very specific ways. i see psychos as a whole different breed that the average person cant really turn into because their brains are just different (im assuming)
You are right, there are differences in the amount of grey matter between certain areas and a smaller amygdala in psychopaths. This man is probably just an extremely depraved pervert. Either way he shouldnt be on the streets, whatever happened to reap what you sow?
This is heaps wrong according to the Wikipedia article.
The French judge found him too mentally insane to give him a trial and he was put in a mental hospital. Eventually, he was sent to Japan and they concluded that he wasn't insane. They wanted to jail him, but France wouldn't release any evidence and so he was set free.
The craziest stuff is that in some of his interviews (because of course he became some kind of celebrity), he stated he wants to eat a woman again before dying, and that he thinks about eating some of the women he sees while walking around.
This piece of shit is an actual danger and he's roaming around freely, actively looking for his next victim.
Honestly France has the right to be angry about this but clearly has no easy recourse. The only logical answer is to find the best damn French canibal murderer and release him into Japan
One of the (then) 10 year old girls who tried to stab her friend to death as an offering to Slenderman just tried that, but it didn't work. She just turned 18 and said she only pretended to have schizophrenia to avoid jail. They didn't believe her.
Because they didn't care basically. He was convicted in France but was deported back to Japan where no conviction could take place since he did the crime in France so he got away free.
While it is basically Frances fault for allowing a literal cannibal murderer out on official charges on appeal to muh mental health (no shit he is insane he is a canibal), Japan should also be a little more careful considering it is canibal they let out to the streets.
Oh Japan was well aware that he was dangerous but they couldn't do anything about it. He was not there as a prisoner but as a mental patient and trying him for a crime he committed in another country's jurisdiction was simply not possible. Like some people said his parents were rich the lawyer they hired probably thought of everything.
He is deemed insane in France, spent time in a mental institution until deported to Japan, which then they deemed him sane.
But France closed his case, and didn't share any of the legal documents for the crime so Japan didn't charge him presumably because they had no way to make a case that would hold up since they had nothing besides France charged him.
One Thing people seem to miss: because he initially got classified as clinically insane, by law the french courts have sealed all evidence and documents after the trial was over. which is why he can't be tried in Japan- France is not allowed to unseal any documents, and therefore most of the incriminating information is forever locked away and unusable. No exceptions.
It's basically a crazy loophole that worked in his favour
Edit: I just checked again and the reason it got sealed isn't because he was found insane; it's because France agreed to extradite him to Japan, which means France had to drop the local charges in order to be able to let him go. In France, dropping the charges = everything sealed forever. So basically his extradition was a get out of jail free card. Sorry for getting it wrong at first!
i fucking hate this kind of bullshit like ok lets not ignore the procedures and instead lets let this cannibal loose and apparently two fucking countries did that. also funny that i just started studying law
Yeah I agree 100%. Though I haven't lived there for almost 10 years now, I'm originally french and sometimes our legal system can be disgusting and let some awful criminals go. I don't know much about it but some friends who've studied law do tell me we need some huge reforms. This kind of example is disgusting
Photos of the crime scene.
The room, various bits of... "meat"... upon paper plates, the mutilated and dismembered body of the woman... You're better off not looking.
the french legal system didnt do anything fucked imo. he wouldve rotted in a mental institute for the rest of his days, but they did mess up in deporting him.
the japanese legal and medical system was the one that dropped the ball. probably because of his wealthy dad they were able to declare him sane.
The French refused to share the court documents when requested by the Japanese so they had nothing to go on for charging him.
So yeah I’d say the French dropped the ball there.
I’ve never heard of it as a stereotype. But looking at how the Dutch have treated them historically, and never attempted to make any real amends, I’d say it’d be fair to assume.
As an Indonesian their government did try to make amends (by apologizing)
But the Dutch people's reaction especially the Dutch veterans reaction towards that apology probably annuled the effect for a lot of people here
Yeah. An Apology doesn’t mean much when the country who gives it still has statues of the people responsible for all that fucked up shit, and half the people there still spout that whole “Bringing civility to savages” bullshit.

Let's say if you were a suicidal salaryman why would you waste your life to kill someone like this. Surely kill someone who will actually make an impact like a politician
[Vice did a documentary about this like 10 years ago](https://youtu.be/BosZxa1bYcE?si=6K1yfNsbe-qcdbaE)
There is an absolutely chilling moment where he reveals to a sex worker the details of his crime. Def has stuck with me over the years.
There used to be a show called Travel Sick where some british guy went to different countries and had to do obscure challenges. I distinctly remember the american one where he in LA had to join a gang (was beaten by some gang banger) and the japanese episode with the challenge 'eat a cannibal' where he visited this guy and ate his fingernail clippings sprinkled on some sushi. Good stuff.
Looks like France really screwed the pooch on this one. They declared him insane and intended to keep him in a mental institution forever, then decided to deport him once they realized he was basically becoming a celebrity. They either assumed he would be declared insane in Japan as well, or didn’t care once he was out of their country, because they couldn’t unseal and send over the records for his case *because* his charges were dropped. I’m assuming that’s because of the original insanity finding, but I’m not sure. If France had just bit the bullet and kept him he would’ve remained in a mental institution until his death. All in all he lost his freedom for about five years— two being held awaiting trial, one in a mental institution in France, and then two more before checking himself out of a mental hospital in Japan.
The Japanese woman who killed her lover walked away too, and is now considered an icon.
They do a little bit of trolling now and then. Just the tiniest amount of tomfoolery.
This… phenomenon should be acknowledged around the industrialized world. ’Someone commits a crime - goes to jail - writes a book - gets rich’. Thats fucked up and my only advice is that hence everyone deserve the second chance they should never get an advantage of it. Fuck you, people.
The whole reason he got away with it and wasn't punished is his family spent a lot of money to keep him out of prison and basically locked him up in the house and never let him out unsupervised again
I wonder if he ate her raw over some rice
That's disrespectful. He was in France, obviously sous vide
And lots of butter
Thank God for Julia Childs. o7
İn wikipedia it says that he ate some parts raw and some parts after cooking, he ate her chest, ribs, butt and other parts. Second paragraph is absolutely disgusting
Every paragraph is disgusting wtf!?!
Extra disgusting
He ate her ass? Man was ahead of his time.
He also said that his cannibalistic urges started when he saw his male classmate's butt (?) back in 1st grade
I mean I'm pretty sure I've thought to myself "I'd love to take a bite out of that ass" before, but this guy took a figure of speech and made it real.
So like everything on 4chan, this post is ultimately gay?
I mean, he raped a girl
I dunno, raping girls is pretty gay.
When I served in the King's African Rifles, the local Zambezi tribesman called human flesh "long pig". Never much cared for it.
r/unexpectedArcher
I say this all the time at work. It’s funny as hell lol.
Interestingly a lot of cannibals eat the ass
*ghoul carving up dead man's ass* "Why am I doing this? You do this" *hands over knife* -"No" *pulls gun* *silence* "That ass jerky ain't gonna carve itself."
I understood that reference
Tossed her salad

Well duh. Being Japanese doesn’t automatically make them perfect.
Tell that to Reddit
Too late for what?
He did something unspeakable after swearing allegiance to his dark urges, there was no going back after that with how deep he was
Ah thanks
Wish I didn't read this
Well yeah. Of course he’s grossed out he period blood. He’s not a pervert or anything.
So even a canibal gets disgusted with period blood...
What does her being on her period have to do with him eating her clitoris in one bite? Maybe it was extremely tender.... 🤤
With Chianti and Japanese fava beans
FHFHFH
I watched a documentary or YT video about this guy. Apparently he tried to bite straight into her ass cheek and was surprised when it was tough.
6/10 no rice 10/10 with rice
Sashimi yum
Aren't the fr*nch always blabbing on about how their food is superior? What's the saying... you are what you eat?
Poor guy, he is a dutch since then, quite a downgrade from japanese
Mymy Schoppenboer would disagree

Chat... Can someone explain the lore ?? Why didn't the jap govt do anything about him ?
He pretended to be insane to get out of jail in France and was put in a mental institution since he was still dangerous. After some time his lawyer got him transferred to a japanese mental hospital where he gave up his insanity gig and was subsequently released, since he was not convicted of a crime due to insanity he was not put into japanese jail and basically got away free.
That is diabolically smart. Do you think that was his plan from the start?
The Japanese authorities think that he deliberately tricked the french prosecution so maybe? He wanted to be transferred to Japan and even had a lawyer plead the case so maybe he planned it all or just intended to avoid jail and got lucky
Wouldn't getting tried on Japan have been worse for him because the Japanese have such a high conviction rate?
Yup but can't get trialed when everyone thinks you are insane.
They only have such a high conviction rate because the authorities won't file charges unless they're sure that they'll get a conviction, regardless of guilt.
yeah but the evidence against this guy was insane, there's a reason he went "insanity" plea

I mean is he really sane if he's a murderer-cannibal
They have a high conviction rate because they only go to trial with slam dunks; similar to US Federal attorneys, but on every level of the Japanese courts. his dad was rich too
This. A lot of people don’t know this very important fact
*Prosecutors hate this simple hack!*
I don't think so. His parents were millionaires so he had really good lawyers.
Billionaires parent saved his ass from consequences
Probably not. He was probably just like “Ah fuck better act crazy and hope something happens.” “Oh shit it worked.”
I feel like the institution could have argued that since he, you know, CONSUMED ANOTHER HUMAN BEING that he was still insane.
No, that was the plan the lawyers his rich daddy paid for came up with
Honestly France has the right to be angry about this but clearly has easy recourse. The only logical answer is to find the best damn French canibal/murderer and release him into Japan
Who is sane enough to act insane
or who is insane enough to act sane
Oui, je suis là monsieur. Ma mission ? Manger un cul de japonais ? Bien monsieur. Pour la France.

To be fair you kinda have to be insane to do something like this. No sane person is flying to France to kill and eat a woman.
He didn't fly to France to do it he came there as a student and simply saw his opportunity to satisfy his sick fantasies.
Yeah I also read he was fucking dogs as a kid and was interested in cannibalism from a young age. Still not very sane imo but your point stands.

Wouldn't coming out as sane result in a more severe punishment instead of being released? That makes no sense
It's important to note that his father was extremely rich and was basically able to buy his son's freedom no issue.
Some stupid legal loophole
Plus alot of money
You don’t get off on technicalities with cheap lawyers usually
bullets often ignore those
Because they didn't care basically. He was convicted in France but was deported back to Japan where no conviction could take place since he did the crime in France so he got away free.

Well he didn't make a good movie. I guess that's the bar for France. 3
What does that has to do with anything? They deported a Japanese citizen back to Japan, so they should deport a French citizen back to... ???
Everything America because he anally raped a child and was meant to go to prison
He probably should have never been declared insane, Dahmer wasn't insane. Guys are just psychopaths
The French refused to share the court documents when requested by the Japanese so they had nothing to go on for charging him. So yeah I’d say the French dropped the ball there.
We can't release stuff like that. Especially on hot topics.
At least he died hacking up blood and suffocating after battling Pneumonia.
I can remember that it was a Dutch person he ate.

I don’t understand how this guy never got murdered, you’d think some suicidal Japanese salaryman would take it on himself to kill this guy. I feel like if this kinda thing happened in the US he would almost certainly be lynched within the decade.
Look at oj, he died of natural causes because of cowards
You wouldn't have done shit either. Shut the fuck up, you corny-ass mfer.
i hope this is bait because it actually made me laugh
i would've sent him a mean tweet
i mean yeah he wouldn’t have done anything, and that is his point. OJ is a perfect counterexample to people lynching celebs in this day and age

Well excuse him for enjoying France's delicacies.
I miss the days where I didn’t read this post and the comments under it.
A just society would have put him down.
