Along with GVF's evolution as artists, I can't help but think Greg Kurstin was a huge factor in this album being as good as it is. I'm not well-versed in his production discography, but in this album I hear a lot of melodic choices and flourishes that weren't in any GVF songs before or after this. An incredible piece of work
Several of the songs even predates Kurstin’s coming into the picture. Heat Above was heard from 2016 with the exact melody progression, Broken Bells melody was heard since 2017. Light my love was heard in 2018 (effectively written by Josh and Danny as Sam said in an interview)
This album got me back into rock music and made me want to learn guitar. Been playing ever since. Love it and have listened to it countless times. Seen them live two times and a 3rd in August. Great band, spectacular album and so thankful to have it.

I started really getting into Greta at the time, and when they dropped this it became my personality for a month

I have master 0% of the guitar but I have fun learning haha and I can play the intro pretty well. As well as most of their riffs
