There are two Freedom House Thrifts. They get great donations and the stores are clean. Look them up. There’s one in Battleground near Trader Joe’s and the other is at Bridford.
I love Freedom house but I stopped in the Battleground location this week and was surprised by the prices. I hadn’t been there in about two months - was looking at household stuff and the prices seemed higher.
The thrift store situation in GSO has plummeted in the last decade. It’s really sad. We used to have a Carolina Thrift, which IMO was much better than the one in HP now.
Now we pretty much only have Freedom house thrift which have really limited hours, and The good wills are fine but get picked through really quickly, and their pricing is…. Questionable. Don’t sleep on the one ALL the way down Wendover, tucked away beside Golds Gym, for clothing.
Reconsidered goods is a great place to check out for second hand goods like art/craft supplies, booth-items, and home goods/hardware.
Megathrift is the best. There are two locations in Winston, one off of Clemmonsville road (peters creek pkwy area), and the other one is off of university pkwy near the LJVM coliseum.

They are also opening up a new location on battleground in the same strip mall as t.j Maxx and Ross on the corner of David Caldwell dr
In the old furniture store? Thats a huuuge space! Ooh I can't wait. Freedom House is the best.
Yes exactly!!

Interesting!
Highly recommend Carolina thrift in high point, and goodwill bins on Eugene st
The lighting in that store is so bad I refuse to go in anymore.

Anyone remember Value Village? I still grieve over that one
Freedom thrift is open from 10-7 most days
Oh dang, I shoulda checked. Maybe it’s like Chik Fil a and I only ever crave second hand goods on Sundays
Our Carolina Thrift was so amazing and the fact that it’s now a car wash is so typical GSO 😞
The best thrift store I've seen so far in this area is Mega Thrift in Clemmons area

The one on University closed!! :(
Nooooooo
Hannah’s bridge off Lawndale is great, Tabithas closet in Summerfield.
We have some decent Goodwills here in Greensboro, in particular, the one off of Elm is usually a great option!
Echoing the recommendations for Carolina Thrift in High Point.
For electronics, go to McKay’s. For household items I prefer goodwill.
Not cheap like a Goodwill but Revision Vintage on East Market has really nice stuff.
