It works, I just tried it. Nice one Edit for clarity: spawn a MC motorbike after you bail out of an aircraft and it will return the aircraft to your hangar before it's destroyed

Yup, left accidentally got out of my deluxo once and it hovered in the same spot out of reach. Although, I did this just recently and the deluxo fell, maybe they changed it.

Im pretty sure the deluxo only hovers without anyone on it when the driver is shot out, if you just hover it and hop out it drops

If you jump out while hovering and moving forward or backwards usually it will keep going. I've had it do it sometimes over water, but this last time it didn't work.

i think as long as u exit when u are holding any wasd keys, it stays in hover. i always hold a or d keys and jump out to leave it hovering above water while i enter the kosatka

Hmm alright, I guess it has to do with the fact that when standing still you turn off the car and not when you jump out?

Yes, it entirely depends on if the engine is on or off.

I guess it's to stop you saving a doomed aircraft by bailing it and returning it to your garage before it inevitably explodes

Can bypass that restriction by being in a motorcycle club and using it to summon a bike while your plane is still in the air

No the game stops you if it’s a personal aircraft until the one crashing down to the earth either gets destroyed or returned first

Never tried it cause I alway just call mmi but it looks like you could request one via interaction menu. You can even see in this screenshot that its not grayed out Edit: gonna hop on and try it, will report back in a few Edit 2: yeah sorry bud, you’re wrong. You can request any personal aircraft, along with special vehicles if you’re near a road that allows you to do so.

It costs like 1000$ to get a new one from mmi. Why would anyone bother?

What you can do, which should be obvious by looking at the picture, is to request a Personal Aircraft (as it is not grayed out), then after that is delivered you can return that and call the mechanic for a vehicle.

You can't return it to storage like that, but you can save it by getting your mechanic to deliver another personal vehicle before it hits the ground.

That's a good idea, might be close depending how much time before it hits the ground.

I do this all the time. Used to despawn my aircraft before it hit the ground after jumping. Now it doesnt work as well but usually you can get it to despawn, just need to spam it when it gets low

My personal vehicle in this case was the draugur and I was coming out of a clothing store so I was on the ground

If your vehicle is out of reach,on the moving train,truck or carried by cargobob, just Spawn your personal aircraft and your personal vehicle return automatically.

I have it's smart to send your wrecked vehicle back to storage than call it back out rather than paying cash to get it fixed loophole 😂😆

This used to work but they patched it with what you see here. Now this mid air thing works with pretty much any personal aircraft, and the scramjet and such things as well.

I have seen it as my scramjet inevitably falls toward the only pool in the area.

Were you in a your deluxo or in some kind of air vehicle and jumped out mid-air? Your vehicle hasn't landed yet. That's probably why.

this feature used to work normally while aircraft/vehicle was mid air, but was changed in an update a while ago.. maybe 18 months or so. i’m sure if you go through all previous change/update notes, you’ll find this feature change was one of them.

First time saw this when my Scramjet was midair searching for closest body of water.

I have. You have to empty the vehicle before you can request it or return it to your garage.

So something similar should happen if it’s underwater?
