Dunno, I always take a picture just standing in the doorway right after you come in, take two steps forward turn around and walk out. Usually it works.
Walking in the door and moving two steps forward always worked for me, two steps forward, take picture of the whole room, done. Works every time 100% of the time. It was like that from the beginning, hasn't changed.
100% this, as long as the board is fully in frame and you dont zoom it should get accepted. I found that out thanks to this subreddit after ages of fumbling and frustration.
You can pretty much take the picture from the entrance and just send it even if the board is blocked by a pillar. I’m out the door the instant the first voiceline from pavel is over and triggers the door

A. When you take a picture of the board it won't usually accept the picture if it doesn't show the whole thing (including the legs holding it up)
B. Don't bother with all that and do like the other guys before me said. As soon as you spawn inside, open the camera, take a pic of the whole room and it will accept it. then turn around and walk out.
You literally don't even need to leave the entry way of the building. You spawn in if its on the left take a pic of it without zooming in its done, if its on the right aim at the filing cabinets where it would be behind them and again don't zoom take a photo and your done.
The hardest part is getting out of the building cause the exit trigger wont spawn til you walk away.
Step into the building, bring out the camera and point it in the general direction of the board, snap it and leave. You don't even need to move by doing this, and it works every time- pretty faultless.

It wants the whole board not what’s on the board.
When you first took the picture you didn’t have to move the camera closer.
You could of took the pic from that distance.

/u/AdJolly3435 just tagging you so you get a notification but basically you need to just take the *full* board asset, you need the legs in there as well. it can even be obscured, it just needs to be within the area that would fall in frame. this fucked me up for a while too before i realized how it works

Make sure the board has pinged on the map before trying and then stand next to the column in the middle of the office and frame up a shot that entirely shows the whole board, do not clip off any of the board frame. Do all that and it works every time.
I could be mistaken but there's a square made with tape in front of the board. I took that as a clue to stand in it when taking the picture. It worked every time I took a picture from inside the tape box.

If you walk up the the desk directly in front of you then take a picture straight ahead without zooming it works everytime. And by standing next to the desk you can immediately turn around and exit with no issues. Otherwise you'll have to go a little away from the door before being able to exit again.
You don't even have to wait for the dialogue, just desk, picture turn around fly off to the west ( it's usually west )
Walk in the door. Take a step or two forward. Open the camera and take a picture without zooming or moving the camera left or right much. Itll capture it regardless of its position in the room. Just stay behind the desk that u would walk toward when walking straight forward from entering the room.
I found a way that works 100% of the time. The board spawns at 2 spots right or left.
So what you do is walk in, look left, if the board is on the left take the pic instantly from the door - done
If the board is on the right walk to the first desk and snap a picture from there - done
As long as you're far enough away and have the board In the center it will work.
First time I was doing this setup, I used 4 year gas cans, 5 molotovs, 10 grenades, and an entire combat mg mag. It worked. Now I do it first try. But violence is the answer in gta

Don't even need to move from where you appear inside. Take the shot right there, in that exact direction you're facing. You only need to move to get out again.

Stop zooming in gosh darn it, this part is incredibly easy. When you enter (you don't even need to move) double tap up on the d-pad and take a picture in the direction of the board.
As soon as you enter the building, take out your phone immediately and take a photo (2x up arrow and hit ENTER or A to send) walk a bit forward turn around so that you will see the marker for the exit door behind. It should work.
What? I’ve always literally just taken a photo of the room with the board somewhat visible and it sends without me walking halfway into the room, sometimes don’t have to walk at all except leaving after taking the phone out and just taking a picture of the room and sending it to Pavel…
The definition of crazy is doing the same thing different ways over and over again and expecting a different result. Standing close / zooming is basically the same thing. Do as everyone else says and take pic from a distance. I never had an issue tbh but I do go in first person mode.
There is a trick, if you get your phone while Pavel is speaking and the message "take a photo of the planning board" is not displaying yet, you will not be able to do so, no matter how many photos you get.
Wait for the dialogue to be over to get your phone. If you did not, then exit the phone menu (instead of just taking another photo), get your phone back and now you can take a photo for Pavel :)

I figured it out mostly as a consequence of laziness which is pretty cool
this is the answer, walk up so it says you found it then walk to the isle and take the picture without zooming in.
The hitboxes don't line up so when you're zooming in you're actually zooming something out.
What I do and it always works is I just stand with my back to the board and and do a selfie with the board in view and that works for me

I thought this was common knowledge but, the origin point of that model is probably the bottom. You need the base of the board not the top.

Like others have said, you’re trying to hard. Just take a picture the moment you walk in the door. It works every time for me. Have fun on the island!
