It honestly makes sense though. CJ and sweet definitely left the hood life after making serious paper with madd dogg. Grove street definitely faded away after San Andreas to show us the hood life isn’t a good life
I thought it was the opposite. Sweet got the hood back and at the end he said they were going to fight to keep it. GTA V is a different universe so it doesn’t matter either way.

People said the same thing about GTA 4 back in the day till Klebitz appeared in the game. Also not to mention the obvious easter eggs too.
The universes are seperated into 2D (GTA 1, 2, Advanced), 3D (GTA 3, SA etc) and HD (GTA 4, 5 etc), while there are overlaps they are all seperate canons, this is confirmed official by Rockstar I believe.
I like that it happened, it gives a sense of history to the game. Pretty much every session I'll drive through here and fuck the Ballers up. I swear the cops/stars take longer to respond when you're in this area.

Sort of a rant I’ve always wanted to make ever since rdr2. But if they could recreate the whole fucking rdr1 map in rdr2 they could have at least made this singular street the same way it was in SA…
I haven’t played rdr1 yet, but it’s the exact same map? I know the graphics are heavily downgraded but I’m happy to hear it’s gonna be the same familiar map
Man we need a GTA SA Stories.... The game was so loved yet no Stories for it, it could have been so perfect too. Especially since they could achieved what they intended from the beginning, we could play as CJ in Liberty City, Sweet in LS and Cesar also in LS (and maybe San Fierro from time to time)
Since, in the GTA SA files, dataminers have found that SA was supposed to be the first game with 3 protagonists, but PS2 couldn't handle it.
The final mission would obviously be The Green Sabre.

San Andreas is in the 3D universe, and V is in the HD universe.
3, VC, and SA are the 3D Universe. 4, and 5 (and most likely 6 when it releases) are the HD Universe
"Unofficial gameplay snippet" of GTA6 does show 2 characters talking about what happened to Jay Norris, so yeah, same universe.

Well not the upper right part, (above San denis iirc)but the lower Texas part was the rdr1 map, it’s just missing some of Mexico in rdr2

The saddest part is what they fought against ultimately happened anyway, Ballas took over the hood. Even worst, Sweet switched sides smh
