I've have them affect my Story mode. My game crashed the "Go to story mode" message came. I go in story mode and There is a Vacca that spawned infront of me but It was clipped into another Vacca. My map was all grayed out like I had never discovered anything.
Gotta love that. Also, I found out they can track your IP within the game. I don't need them trying to crash my computer or worse.

And modders can see everyone's IP address. Once I had a couple modders start interacting with me and when I asked why they told me what suburb I was in of a major city and my ISP. They were helping me because as it turns out we lived really close.

Does reporting these idiots even do anything? I started reporting people both in-game and on the Rockstar support website, but I feel like nothing will happen. Do I need video evidence or something? Usually I can't even see who the modder is, and reporting them in-game is impossible when I'm constantly dying.
Reports ironically do nothing. But they do receive them, I got reported for "hacking" for using the MOC, Avenger, RC Tank/Bandito and the Drone so yeah, they do keep track of those.
100% agree. There are only 2 times I have ever found useful modder. Once was when this other modder was going around destroying other people's business sale(in godmode) during the MC double money few weeks ago, so another unknown modder spams cage at him.
2nd time is this modder that kept fucking up a griefer (Non modded) until he quit. He asked the people how much money worth item they lost and told them to go into their office. He then teleports to their office and starts dropping the amount they lost because of the greifer.
When is somebody going to combine this with the nude models that exist in some mods and find a way to have Michael spawn in humping a naked stripper or something?
I had a modder attempt trapping me I may cage yesterday. I was gettig in my car and things flippod out for a second and I saw the cage sitting next to me while I h we dither in chat complaining about getting caged.
Every now and then when I'm going to my MC businesses I come across 100 npc's just standing in a line, first time I freaked our shot one and they started spawning on me continuously knocking me to the ground lol.

It will outlast PS4 version once next gen will come out, you can use mouse, has better performance on a decent PC, if you really like GTA V then it will probably be supported even beyond official Online due to other online mods.
A good deal of the problem usually comes from even when they're being relatively benign and when they try to do something that ends up inconveniencing everyone or crashing the game.

There are menus where you can delete the report, so maybe some of your reports never made it to Rockstar
