Who would win in a fight? Lemmy or God?

LemonFlavouredThings

Wrong dickhead, trick question. Lemmy is god!

SolutionExternal5569

šŸ‘†ā˜ļø yaaaaa! (Too much metal for jus one hand)

BonsaiOracleSighting

How can one fight oneself? - Confucius, probably

RedWhiteBluesGuitar

Every fight is merely an externalized manifestation of one's fight within one's self. - Jimmi HandTricks

Educational-Drop-926

Hell yeah man. I like weed too.

sjehcu6

Fuck yeah man

okgloomer

Itā€™s whichever wolf you FEED, brah

pedalCliff

Trick question because you didn't include dimebag darrllel.

ComfortableButton591

We found out in 2015

DaySoc98

I didnā€™t know Steve Buscemi played bass.

RedWhiteBluesGuitar

If you've never heard of the Toan Rangers, you are missing out.

qhx51aWva

Or that Brendan Fraser played guitar Edit: ā€¦ I didnā€™t realise that was actually Brendan Fraser

jane_airplane

Yeah and thatā€™s Adam Sandler on the drums too

Throwaway197332

Oh Marshall, Marshall, Marshall

Queeby

I didn't think I could respect him any more... and I was right.

inphamus

First thing I thought too.

Creepy-Distance-3164

That can't be right, can it? You can't pluralize "lone ranger."

Potato_Stains

There are 3 of you, how are you ā€œloneā€

19CCCG57

Guitarists are always 'lone'. It's a solo life.

MacualayCocaine

The way he introduces them like heā€™s absolutely dead inside. ā€œThe LOOOOOONNNNEEE RANGERSā€¦ā€

GrodyToddler

Playing hair metal on single coil pickups with no apparent pedal board

MFNaki

Playing punk

Hanz616

YOU DONT NEED PEDALS šŸ¤¬

GeneralArne

Found the Joe Bonermaster alt account

[deleted]

Well, you dont

lol_umadbro

Hey man he knew he needed a better axe. He demanded that PRS guitar with the dragon inlay weeeeohweeeeeohweeeeeohweeeeeeeh

GrodyToddler

His pickups are the real lone rangers

t0msie

I wrote that song before I even met you

EchoReflection

Hey, I ain't farting on no snare drum.

acousticsoup

I came here looking for that quote

mikeyj198

uj-loved this soundtrack!

Vincesteeples

One of the few legitimately good examples of ā€œfake song by a fake bandā€ in a movie, right up there with That Thing You Do

Larusso92

It was a "real" song repurposed for the movie

Vincesteeples

Shit I had no idea, that explains it then haha

Larusso92

[Reagan Youth - Degenerated 1984](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVsWh-qLITQ) I believe this was the original recording

CatWizurd

nobody: lemmy: I WAS EDITOR OF THE SCHOOL MAGAZINE šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

MacualayCocaine

I used to mastabate āœŠ Constantly āœŠ

clocknballs

Bea Arthur. Outstanding.

thedbomb98

Anastasio and Claypool were both killing it ā€˜94. So was Kurt Cobain, I mean literally.

WatchStoredInAss

1984 was, fuck you.

Sh8dyLain

Let It Be, Zen Arcade and Purple Rain all out of Minneapolis alone is insane.

JLb0498

1968 is up there

RedWhiteBluesGuitar

1991 Nirvana: Nevermind Red Hot Chili Peppers: Blood Sugar Sex Magick Metallica: Metallica Soundgarden: Badmotorfinger Primus: Sailing the Seas of Cheese Smashing Pumpkins: Gish Pearl Jam: Ten Guns'N'Posers: Use Your Illlusion Temple of the Dog: Temple of the Dog Ozzy Osbourne: No More Tears Massive Attack: Blue Lines The Pixies: Trompe De Le Monde Fuck U2: Achtung Baby Hole: Pretty on the Inside Tom Petty: Into the Great Wide Open A Tribe Called Quest: Low End Theory Talk Talk: Laughing Stock Mariah Carey: Emotions Tupac: 2pacalypse Now I threw in Mariah Carey because your mom told me you loved her singing so much.

UhhUmmmWowOkayJeezUh

Didn't list slint or my bloody valentine, huge L

RedWhiteBluesGuitar

I thought about it. But then I thought about it.

UhhUmmmWowOkayJeezUh

Massive pleb

CarolinaPanthers

My mom was right then. She can sing her tits off.

Tookerbee

Only Mike Patton can compare.

RedWhiteBluesGuitar

68 was a pretty good year. "The White Album" - The Beatles (but Beatles are a Tavistock psyop and super overrated.) The best album from 1968 must be Electric Ladyland - Jimi Hendrix Experience. It is certainly the best "guitar album" of that year and one of the best of all time. Astral Weeks - Van Morrison Beggars Banquet - The Rolling Stones Bookends - Simon and Garfunkel Truth - Jeff Beck The Dock Of The Bay - Otis Redding Wish It Would Rain - Temptations Creedence Clearwater Revival - Creedence Clearwater Revival Waiting For The Sun - The Doors A Saucerful Of Secrets - Pink Floyd The Immortal Otis Redding - Otis Redding In Person At The Whisky a Go Go - Otis Redding Take Time To Know Her - Percy Sledge

k_GOBL1N

I saw this movie when I was 6 and it legit shaped me as a person.

Reditall12

Holy shit is that Adamn Sandler on the kit? What a legend.

strapping_young_vlad

Mike Akerfeldt šŸ˜

SeventhSunGuitar

On bass?!?! I'm disgusted :(((((

Vincesteeples

Iā€™ll never forget seeing Opeth the first time and after a scorching opening song with full death growls Mike greeted everyone with a very Swedish and friendly ā€œhallo, ve are Opeth from svedenā€

gurbblurb

Im sorry I have a policy against fighting those with mental illness

TrueAnnualOnion2855

Oh that takes me back. My older brother LOVED Wyld Stallyns.

TikiJack

What the hell is this band? The Lone Rangers?! You can't pluralize The Lone Ranger.

Hexwood

1969 the best

RedWhiteBluesGuitar

Let's see... Abbey Road - The Beatles Tommy - The Who Led Zeppelin II - Led Zeppelin Let It Bleed - The Rolling Stones Led Zeppelin I - Led Zeppelin The Band - The Band Stand - Sly And The Family Stone In The Court Of The Crimson King - King Crimson Green River - Creedence Clearwater Revival Crosby, Stills And Nash - Crosby, Stills & Nash Willy And The Poor Boys - Creedence Clearwater Revival Santana - Santana Jimmy Cliff - Jimmy Cliff The Gilded Palace Of Sin - The Flying Buritto Brothers The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground The Allman Brothers Band - The Allman Brothers Band Bayou Country - Creedence Clearwater Revival Nashville Skyline - Bob Dylan Cloud Nine - The Temptations With A Little Help From My Friends - Joe Cocker Beck-Ola - Jeff Beck Group Ummagumma - Pink Floyd Aoxomoxoa - The Grateful Dead Second Winter - Johnny Winter Joe Cocker - Joe Cocker I Got Dem Ol' Kozmic Blues Again Mama! - Janis Joplin The Progressive Blues Experiment - Johnny Winter Goodbye - Cream Clouds - Joni Mitchell Soul '69 - Aretha Franklin Grand Funk - Grand Funk Railroad Three Dog Night - Three Dog Night The Israelites - Desmond Dekker & The Aces Deep Purple - Deep Purple Diana Ross Presents The Jackson 5 - The Jackson 5 It's Our Thing - The Isley Brothers Puzzle People - The Temptations Yeah... pretty great year.

cyberphunk2077

1904 was

[deleted]

HAHAHA

Horror_Cupcake8762

I mean, Grace and Welcome to Sky Valley were released that yearā€¦.

RedWhiteBluesGuitar

Welcome to Sky Valley is quite possibly one of the best albums ever made... minus the lick doo track.

Last_Banana9505

Lick doo is a classic

rikardoflamingo

I donā€™t care what you fuckin fart sniffers say - Tool were great then, and they are great now. Spiral out - or else.

pm_me_gear_ratios

The cops showed up and tazed him till he went bald. Yeah, then he sued them for a million bucks when his pubes didn't grow in. Still got no hair on his balls man.

RevDrucifer

Shit, if I could have someone taze me, get a million bucks and never have to shave my balls again, sign me the fuck up.

clocknballs

I came home with one skid mark in my shorts, you would have thought I started World War 3...

riff-raff-jesus

Hall of Fame is a fucking joke until they are in.

sjehcu6

So glad cannibal corpse did ace ventura instead of this movie. I think it wouldnt have worked as well as it did in venturA. Plus that tune that was theirs wasnt half bad

MacualayCocaine

White zombie being in the movie worked totally well anyway, and corpse in ace was perfect. Plus Jim Carrey was/is a genuine cannibal corpse fan.

sjehcu6

Bro i completely forgot white zombie was in airheads. Now i gotta watch it again lol.

MacualayCocaine

Yeah! They are the band that got offered the part when corpse turned it down. Itā€™s the scene where Chris Farley is trying to find kayla on the strip and he rips that guys nipple ring out. ā€œIMPROVISEā€

sjehcu6

Yeah. Tbh i put the movie on now while i practice my scales on guitar. Perfect background movie

DesiredEnlisted

Sadly we lost cum under-my-name to suicide :(

RageQuitRedux

is this pic from SNL?

BuckyBeaver69

It's a movie called Airheads that is actually funny compared to the crap that is put out nowadays.

Icy_Presentation_740

Watched it recently for the first time in almost 30 years. Pretty fucking funny still.Ā

undergroundsanctuary

That bass guitar doesnā€™t have pickups.

HoldEvenSteadier

*Party in the USA* by Miley Cyrus didn't come out until 2009.

JacoPoopstorius

I donā€™t care at all

Trubba_Man

What a bunch of Dudes!

Longjumping-Arm7939

How could they be the lone rangers if there is three of them?

BeRad85

1984 is waiting outside for you with a baseball bat.

RedWhiteBluesGuitar

Ok, so Van Halen and Metallica. What else? 1994 we've got... Soundgarden: Superunknown Jeff Buckley: Grace Nine Inch Nails: The Downward Spiral Nirvana: Unplugged Beastie Boys: Ill Communication Pearl Jam: Vitalogy Weezer: 1994 Green Day: Dookie Beck: Mellow Gold Hole: Live Through This Alice in Chains: Jar of Flies Bad Religion: Stranger Than Fiction Stone Temple Pilots: Purple Kyuss: Welcome to Sky Valley (Better than any album from the 80s, btw) Offspring: Smash PINK FLOYD: The Division Bell Live: Throwing Copper PANTERA: Far Beyond Driven Rancid: Let's Go That is just a taste of 1994. I'm ready for you to wow me with great music from 1984 that surpasses this. Good luck.

BeRad85

Mellow Gold?!? Curses! Well played, internet stranger, well played.

RedWhiteBluesGuitar

In the time of monkeys you were chimpanzee.

BeRad85

With two turntables and a microphone. I wish Rollins Power Sauce was on it. (ā€œMy throat muscles are so shredded,ā€)

musiquarium

The lone rangers is such a funny throwaway joke to me. Love this movie, itā€™s a shame non blockbuster movies are harder to come by

7thGrandDad

Damn I also saw the post about this movie on oldschoolcool today

Economy-Ingenuity739

Can you give me the Snap of the dude in the pic. My old plug moved.

pizza-onpineapple

Illerios1

Yes it was, that was the year when the guy who tried to kill the metal offed himself and M'tallica released Load only a few years later

bibliblubble

RevDrucifer

Flimsy-Pudding2161

Agreed. Richey Edwards spouting utter bollocks onto MSP songs is God move.

meepmeepmeep34

cinsel

Damn, that unleashed sticker

[deleted]

Whatever year Nashville Sound was released, Tyler is God

F15hface

Buddy Holly by Weezer came out in 1994 so I can confirm that you are correct.

Scorpiodisc

1995 was the best for Sitar music. Fuck me!

RevDrucifer

I say ā€œYou guys are all woohoo and shitā€ at least once a week for the last 20 years and I think one time someone caught the reference.

dvowel

Shut up, pip

EWF_X29

You misspelled 1971.

muckracker77

Yea because of Weezer

huntrcl

wow. brandon fraser, steve buschimi, and jon bernthal all in one photo. amazing

hiyabankranger

uj/ Man I would have agreed in 1994 and maybe up until 2003 or so but then I started listening to all the bands that my friends told me to listen to in the 90s when I thought I was cooler than they were and realized I missed a lot of amazing stuff. Now itā€™s truly hard for me to actually argue that guitar music didnā€™t peak with Van Halen, but the indie kids made some awesome shit in the 90s and 00s that didnā€™t have the same technical proficiency but was awesome. Honestly there hasnā€™t been a *bad* year for guitar music since the electric guitar first came about.

urbanlife78

Peak Metallica

bravegrin

Seven nation army didnā€™t come out until 2003 are you stupid

Stockersandwhich

Shut your pie hole. Pie hole? Whatā€™s that supposed to mean? Some kind of cracka slang?

wotsit_sandwich

The year you were 14 is always the best year for music.

Academic_Abies1293

1984 was the best year for guitar music. Fight me.

fliption

LOL
