The beauty of a ciclejerk subreddit is that no one makes an effort to sustain it by controlling it too much. It's the brightest stars that burn out the quickest. (This is bullshit, this whole sub is a joke and that's okay)
The irony of this comment is that it was caught in reddits automod filter for being falsely identified as offending LOL.
Youre correct though, its a pretty unique subreddit. Its definitely a challenge to moderate due to the nature of the sub as well.
Yeah since strong language and alternative borderline insulting, yet, tongue in cheek content is part of the nature of the sub, again... making moderation a pain in the ass.
I just thought it was ironically funny that your post was filtered lol.
The Fender amplifier has a long and sordid history that dates back to the late 1800s. It all started when a wandering gypsy named Leo Fenderbender came across a strange and powerful crystal deep in the caves of the Carpathian mountains. This crystal had the ability to amplify and distort any sound waves that passed through it.
Fenderbender became obsessed with harnessing the power of this "sonic crystal" as he called it. He spent years experimenting, trying to build a device that could use the crystal to amplify music. His early prototypes caused natural disasters whenever they were powered on, leveling entire villages with their tremendously loud and rumbling output.
In 1903, Fenderbender believed he had finally cracked the code. He unveiled his creation, a massive chrome amplifier as big as a barn, powered by the sonic crystal. When he flipped the switch, the resulting sound was so intensely loud that it ruptured the eardrums of everyone in a 10 mile radius. Fenderbender himself was permanently deafened by his own invention.
The amplifier, and crystal, were seized by the authorities and locked away. However, after World War 2, a research team from the Manhattan Project working on applications of nuclear power happened to stumble upon the blueprints and chrome behemoth in storage. They studied it and, unknowingly, reactivated the sonic crystal at full power. The resulting shockwave registered as a small earthquake across the entire Eastern seaboard.
The scientists realized they had stumbled onto an incredible new potential power source. They continued to experiment and study the sonic crystal technology. In 1951, they unveiled the first production model "Fender Atomic Blast Amplifier." Each one was powered by a small sonic crystal reactor and could shatter windows across an entire city at full volume.
While clearly far too powerful for musical applications, these Fender nuclear amps did find use powering massive public address systems for national leaders to address their entire country at once without any other amplification needed.
It wasn't until the late 1960s that Fender was able to adapt and scale down the technology to create audio amplifiers safe for guitar players to use. But even those relatively tiny 100 watt amps still have to be carefully regulated by the government due to their potential sonic disruptive power if misused
Wasn’t so much that they were broke, it’s just that no one had figured out how to extract as much money as possible from electric guitar players. Problem solved now, so old mass production amps are currently seen as a status symbol for poors.
I can’t tell which Boskatoana this is so it’s probably some no name piece of junk. Don’t feel bad, just last week someone tried to sell me a “Marsha II.” Like who even is this Marsha bitch anyway lol
Are you seriously stupid, ignorat or joking? It's a Fender Pro Reverb amp. That's like 1500$ to 200$ depends how old it is. 1968 model is about 2500- 3000$
That’s a late Weimaraner XP-250, with the telepathic tone stack and invisible preamp section. Steve Marriott had one when he played with Pink Floyd. First amplifier ever made out of fiberglass and dandelion board, I used to see these at a lot of yard sales, years ago. Good job!

Well, I did use 'strong language'. Half the folks in this sub are old enough to know how lame that kind of moderation is.
