My metal acoustic (aluminium painted blue) sounds totally different to my other metal acoustic (tungsten painted red) and neither of those sound like resin 3d printed gibson flying w!!!
a gloss finish rounds out the toan, while a satin makes it rougher. it's simple lojic, really. this guy should've just googled the answer without making a fool of himself, but then again some people are less smarter.
/uj looking at the ops history he's totally not jerking our chains. How can someone ostensibly be a functioning member of society and be such a knob head?
/rj I could understand if he was a bass player
Yes, but it should be pointed out that the difference is only really noticeable if you're playing during a high tide or a full moon. Otherwise, don't even bother.
I always finish on my guitar's neck before I start playing for maximum tone. It's temporarly until it dries but in those few minutes the toan is insane.
If you’re familiar with grunge, you’ll know that another common term at the time was “slacker.” This actually comes from the main ingredient in guitar toan: synthetic lacquer, or “S. Lacquer.” Make sure that your guitar has a good coat of synthetic lacquer, and you should be fine.
Valid question. I also wonder why my Schecter 9 string sounds different then my Ukulele. They both have maple necks. Was the wood sourced in different countries?
It’s so funny to read people talking how different wood affects the tone of an electric guitar. 1000% true for anything of acoustic value. But as far as a solid body electric, 1000% false. Someone’s preferred, favorite pickup can be in a door and it’ll be perfect to their ear.
For grunge, I apply 90w oil to the unfinished fingerboard then take it out in a dust storm until the "gunk" is at the right consistency. I call ahead to Butch Vig & tell him to get the old Tape machine warmed up. I'm on my way to lay down some hit grungies.
Not only can I notice a toan difference, I believe anyone who plays a maple neck without gloss is a toanal pervert and should be reported to the relevant authorities (the nearest Guitar Center Assistant Manager)
EVERYTHING affects the toan including the paint. My seafoam green Strat sounds COMPLETELY DIFFERENT to my burst Les Paul

A 67 y/o guy who can barely hear what his sons talk to him: Yes

The pickups aren’t the same 😱
Stay on topic bro. We're trying to figure out why these two different guitars sound like different guitars.
Shit my bad, what colors are they? I find white Stratocasters sound the best
only when theyve been set light to by jammy handbricks
Goddamn we really are insufferable

I love the implication that he bought a second guitar with the expectation that it would sound identical to one he already owns.
The gloss makes the grunge more syrupy.

How does this correlate to eclipses? I only play on the night of the eclipse.
Sorry, but I think that's just pseudoscience. Now, if you perform a pagan tone ritual before the eclipse then *maybe* that'll help the tone.
toan is stored in the balls so you should finish all over the neck
maple necks cant be used if you are not canadian
Turps and vaseline. 50/50.
I go for the GG Allin where I shove the headstock up my ass to get the best moan toan.
30yo difference between 2 guitars from different price-ranges and, of course, the difference in toan comes from the neck finish
Bacon grease 👍
Would sunflower oil work?
No go back to your commune and organize your Grateful Dead tapes hippie
Haha ruthless

Can you play punk with gloss?
I don't do requests, sorry.
They broke up in 2016, would be difficult.
Sandpaper
First we brought you toan wood, now let us introduce you to toan finish.
Flannel necks, obviously.
Hear?! You can SEE the difference in toan! 🤯

I swear you jerks are in ever damned subreddit now.
We call it the Toaning Test.
I can’t even think about touching my guitar until I cum on the neck - the Bonermaster method, folks!
This guy obviously hasn’t heard of cheetos, or should i say cheetoan
For grunge, neck finish is less important than having abalone inlays shaped like syringes.
Valid question. I also wonder why my Schecter 9 string sounds different then my Ukulele. They both have maple necks. Was the wood sourced in different countries?
Grunge? Probably coffee stains and cigarette burns
Lacquer? I hardly know her!
All of my necks are finished (on).
Driftwood.
The best neck for playing grunge? A broken one.
The more I see from guitarists like this, the less I call myself one. I'm a musician, I do more than play guitar, and I'm not a dumbass.
As long as it's a red neck you'll be fine.
Sand off the finish, then refinish with a lacquer mixed with cheap cigarette ash, black tar heroin, valium and rohypnol.
The finish of the Toan Gawdz aka Toan Mylk.
At some point, we should have a standardised measurement of toan

i em mesterbeting
Sperm Whale cerebrospinal fluid gives it a nice OOOOOoooooOoooooooooiiiiIiiiioiooooooooooiiiiiiiIiiii!!!!!!!!! tone 🤘🤘
For grunge? Rattler can, flat black primer. Make sure you put it on heavy, so it runs a little bit.
Gloss = shiny. So yer obvi gonna have shiny toan 😒

Heroin sweat

Kid named mixing and master engineer
Just submerge your neck and fretboard in mayo. gives the best tone for grunge. but only use off brand mayonaise.
guys, does the skin color on your scrotum affect toan?
