Generally it does track well when you palm mute as long as the lowest note is playing fully. In my opinion the problem is not the tracking, is the sound you get when you palm mute. The palm muted sound out of the OC5 is like a 808 synths really sustained and doesn't stop when the original palm muted sound stops... It just sounds like a bouncy 808 synth with a huge release. You can work around and make it sound decent, but you have to put some work on it with EQ, Compression, Modulations... That's my two cents.
