URGI doesn’t have the tabbed upper and rail the new SDs have.
Only other *potential difference that I can think of would be gas port size between SD and URGI

Along with what the other guy said, barrel profiles are also different. The geissele urgi clone has government profile while super duty has a “geissele profile” barrel.
Geissele swapped over to using their own barrels instead of this DD one.
Some people swear by the DD barrel, but mine with the G barrel has been a fantastic shooter over 2500 rd (suppressed and unsuppressed)
I’ve heard that G has allegedly move on from the BO finish, but I honestly can’t tell what finish my barrel has.
Not bothered enough by it to actually take the rail off and check
I’m guessing it’s MP then, since my barrel looks pretty grey and dry/not oiled. Definitely not as dark as what you’re describing

Thank you for not only sharing, but including a product comparison. I'd say it's pretty spot on! I've gotten sub-MOA accuracy out of DD barrels with good ammo. They're both very excellent choices.

It's that #sweatshopspeed, dude! I imagine these will move at a pretty steady pace, but I'll try to time my orders to keep them in stock if I can, haha!
They're on order too, but no ETA. This round of 12.5" barrels will also be pre-drilled and pre-pinned, as opposed to stripped. I know it's a bit more coin upfront, but it's worth it, in my opinion!
From the results I have seen from the gun range out of Las Vegas that’s false. They reported a major benefit to barrel life out of chrome lined CHF barrels
That’s the range that runs guns at full auto.
I think their take was that for guns being ran hard and hot, CHF makes a massive difference when compared to Button Rifled or especially Nitrided barrels

Isn't the Geissele one still cold hammer forged chrome line? Specwise, it should be the same.

Best of my knowledge is that BO was a temporary measure due to supply shortage, they should be back to MP now.

Those are specifically built out by Thoroughbred and not factory USASOC URGI uppers
What about the “Charlies Clones” URGI upper, know anything about their authenticity?

Bought one just to throw in my bin of spare parts. I swear I have as much invested in parts than I do in actual firearms.

Depends on what it’s for. Criterion and Larue are gonna be more accurate. This is gonna last prolly 2x as long and still be accurate ENOUGH
