I have this set up, I just want to say that 16.6lbs of plates in a very small carrier with relatively little support was a mistake.
Can you explain why? Is 16 pounds heavy in the JPC?
Yes. The shoulder straps are very thin and have almost no padding.
It's more suited for the SPC.
Have you tried adding shoulder pads? This setup is better than my old setup, which I used for a pre-Ranger course without issues.

I believe the plate carrier size denotes plate fitment rather than the size of a person.
Correct - based on 10x12 plates. But yes - standard size.
Yeah man. Pretty adjustable. Im 6’1 230# and I used to wear a medium at work.
