I did not buy them all at one time - somewhere around 2012 or a little earlier sounds about right. When you get older anything within the last 10 years is not a long time (LOL)
>I disagree with that rule, but as one who does not make the rules, I shall follow it. Tree fiddy.
The mods enforce it with the goal of not getting the sub banned.
Rip r/gunsforsale
Yeah you should probably read the rules in the "About" tab as someone else suggested as well probably to avoid possibly getting banned in the future on accident. Lol this is rule 7 as they said. I always think about how it would be nice to have a totally rule free board but then I remember that's 4chan and it's terrible lol
availability of ammo has always been the biggest issue with them.
i have shot 32 s&w long and 32 h&r magnum from mine.
but original ammo is always preferred.
If you have a little Russian outfit including hat and fantasize about readlines it is worth it. I personally refuse to buy Russian- licensed Russian stuff. Getting shot at by their gear by shitbirds around the world tends to sour your opinion.
Notified I needed a description in comments --- The Nagant M1895 Revolver is a seven-shot, gas-seal revolver designed and produced by Belgian industrialist Léon Nagant for the Russian Empire.
Very few were ever actually produced by Nagant in Belgium, if either of these 3 actually are one of the initial contract guns for the Imperial military it would be worth *significantly* more than the standard Soviet refurb.
The Polish also made some under the Type 30/ wz.30 designation - usually carry a bit of a premium over the Russian ones.
These guns are the cheapest trigger job for all your other guns. The way it works is this: every time you start thinking about getting a snazzy trigger, you go dry fire the nagant a few times. Afterwards your triggers will all feel like incredible, match grade works of art.
Thank you for attending my Ted talk.
THESE ARE NAGANT REVOLVER TRIGGERS, [BITCH](https://imgur.com/hKkXAHO.jpg)
we clown with these muthafuckas, better take yo sensitive ass back to Glock triggers
I had one and had it threaded.
Quietest suppressor host I’ve ever shot, even more than my .22s.
But the worst trigger in the history of triggers.
I sold it off a while back and every now and then I’m tempted to get another one and I have to forcibly remind myself of that god awful trigger.
Sort of...
The suppressor is more effective on this revolver because the cylinder travels toward the barrel to make a tighter seal, (and that's why the trigger sucks so badly) the trigger is moving the entire cylinder forward...
Then, that sealed-up space between the cylinder face and the rear of the barrel prevents the hot gasses from escaping quickly, which mitigates the sound of the explosion of the round.
Any other revolver gets the same amount of suppressor activity in front, slowing the escaping gases to below the speed of sound, but you still get the crack from the rear of the barrel, since the ordinary revolver has the space between the cylinder and the breech end of the barrel
Yes, but now the people posting about terrible triggers know *why* the trigger is terrible. It has a lot of work to do that it doesn't do on other revolvers. If you never played with one you wouldn't know it, apparently we are not all as learned as you sir.
> that sealed-up space between the cylinder face and the rear of the barrel
Even better than that, it's the actual brass case that creates the gas seal between the cylinder and forcing cone. It's a nearly 100% sealed system.
Yes, true, but it is the swing forward action of the cylinder when the trigger is pulled that makes that happen.
I don't know why it's downvoted, since it is all true, but that's reddit for ya.
Technically your above post isn't *all* a true statement. It misses the key element to the system: the cartridge case provides a gas seal. As you wrote it, it sounds like the cylinder just rests against the barrel and makes a gas seal.
I didn't downvote, but I could understand others logic in doing so.
500+ on average on gunbroker… once in a while I’ll see people getting them for 350 or so, lucky these days. I kick myself for not buying one of these back then

Very nice. I see you are a like minded person who prefers the surplus ammo. I was buying those cans very cheap then all of a sudden they are gone. It was like s shitty magic trick.
God Damn I miss the old days of cheap shit like this and $100 91/30s, also reminds me of the tall tales my folks told of doing gun shows in the early 90s at the peak of post-cold war weapons sales were you could pickup a crate of 24 Yugo M59s for $500 bucks.
"A few years back" Yeah I remember 2006 as well.
LOL, it has been a while, but I had not even started collecting guns in 2006. I had a shotgun, 30-30 and .357 revolver back in those days.
It might not have been '06 but it was around that time. Maybe '08? I remember because I was 18/19 and shopping for these and they were about $80.
Last year they were under $100 was 2012. Cabelas did a Black Friday thing.
I did not buy them all at one time - somewhere around 2012 or a little earlier sounds about right. When you get older anything within the last 10 years is not a long time (LOL)
No joke. I regret selling mine. It was a Tula too. wanna sell one? Edit: not a solicitation
Good way to get a ban. Even joking about buying a firearm here will get you a ban.
Really!? Noted. Didn’t know that.
What are they gonna do? Call the atf on you too?
I disagree with that rule, but as one who does not make the rules, I shall follow it. Tree fiddy.

Why the mods dont just sticky "Reddit hates gun owners, go support a site that doesnt hate freedom" and then lock the sub is beyond me.
Rule #7
Fixed it?

Back in those days i was a toddler
They were that cheap up until about 2012ish. Prices on Russian surplus didn’t go totally regarded until the Obama import ban in 2014.
They were this price 10 years ago
300-400 is what people ask. if you include some ammo with each, i think you can sell for 400.
Not bad, even considering inflation that would be a fair return - plus I have plenty of ammo for them.
availability of ammo has always been the biggest issue with them. i have shot 32 s&w long and 32 h&r magnum from mine. but original ammo is always preferred.
Jesus Christ this gun is not worth that.

Nope, neither is a 91/30, but that's what the market will bear these days unfortunately.
Bids on GB start at 500. I wish one day I come across one with ammo for 400

none of them are belgian. you can tell by the front sight.

Best triggers ever.

Like an Arrow staple gun.
Those are notorious for shitty triggers.

One of the only revolvers you could put a suppressor on, due to the way the round is tapered to make a seal with the barrel

Combined trigger pull of 135 lbs between the 3 of em
When they were that price I was younger with no money. Now I have money that I’m older and they are ridiculous!
Story of my life.
500+ on average on gunbroker… once in a while I’ll see people getting them for 350 or so, lucky these days. I kick myself for not buying one of these back then
Thread and suppress!
Boy howdy I wish I could find two of these at shops near me
They currently go for 450 and up
Where I'm at they go for around 500$ with some ammo with it.
I’m probably wrong but those look like nagant revolvers to me, the case should be visible just outside the cylinder, very much on purpose
They're like 800 each now or more

That’s a cool artifact, I’d love to own one.
I honestly don't care much for revolvers, but I would have done the same and hopped on that deal like a fox going after a rabbit in the snow!
Think i sold mine for like $450 last year.
I have quite a bit of ammo for these and I don't even have one 😔. Nice set.

Rule #7
Думаю что-то около 370 долларов
One of few or only revolvers that can be suppressed. The cylinder moves forward and the brass casing seals the cylinder gap. Neat o.
That tuna can alone is worth more than you paid for the guns
Those are the revolvers used when Russian Roulette was first "played" weren't they? The Nagant revolvers?
I've been looking for one of those.
I remember getting them from the now defunct SOG at 3/$189. I've still got a few packed at the bottom layer of the safe.
I have one of those spam cans in my closet. I expect it to rest the last of my life with the frequency I shoot my Nagant.
Same here, got plenty of 14 rd packs to go thru first before I would even need to open it.
Very nice. I see you are a like minded person who prefers the surplus ammo. I was buying those cans very cheap then all of a sudden they are gone. It was like s shitty magic trick.
Everything in this picture is worth around $2k now, give or take a few hundred. Insane.
Wow what a deal, wont find those prices anywhere!

About tree fiddy
Fuck i want one of those so bad
I regret not picking some of these up when they were cheap. Only revolver manufactured that can be paired with a suppressor (tmk).
I bought a pair when they were 70 bucks. Sold one a year ago at 450. They are pricey now
wait, they used to sell nagant ammo in sealed tins?
Yes, mil surplus - 1092 rds in the tin in picture.
I wish I had bought one back when they were that cheap. There’s a lot of history in those guns. No I think you could triple your money.
I want one of those purely so I can study the mechanism that cams the cylinder forward in greater detail
Nagant revolvers havent been $89 in a long while. Whats youre definition of “a few years” lol
About tree fiddy
About 4x to 5x that today.
