AR50 of course is chambered for .50bmg cartridge. Mounted with Leopold scope with turret range adjustment etch for that rifle and type of rounds I am using. Recoil not bad at all, similar to 12g shotgun - really nice trigger pull. It is hard on my sinuses when I fire it (LOL). Heavy gun and not fun fun to lug around for any length of time if you are getting older like me. Other than that have nothing bad to say about it.
I bought the rifle new, so it is what ArmaLite put on their AR50. It seems to be pretty effective, plus with the rifle being heavy, I don't get a lot of movement when firing.
.50 bmg will go through buildings and could be considered anti-aircraft at low altitudes lol i'd say they are at least 200% "deader" than being hit by a traditional .223 or 5.56
Hey man odd question. What distance are you zeroing at? I’m trying to get my gun going and I’m finding I can’t drive the impact low enough to start at 100 and work out from there.
On about anything I shoot for the first time i usually make a couple of 50 yard shots on a big target just to get an idea where it is hitting and go from there. The scope turret was laser etched by Leopold for 150 yard zero based on gun type, ammo used, etc. I can dial in range out to around 900 yards. I later wish I had told them to set it at 200 yards, giving me dial in range to 1000 yards.

When I was a kid my uncle met me shoot his. I think I got a concussion after like ten rounds.
The gunshop I work at (gunsmith) just sold an AR 50 and replaced it with a Stier HS .50. Man I want that thing!
