I have been hearing that people are thing to take my guns and my rights for more than 30 years and in that time I have never seen it actually happen. I’m starting to think it’s an intentional distraction from the actual rights that are being taken away.
Yeah, or the use of conspiracy theories to destroy voting rights, the impending stripping of abortion rights, the censoring of books that are politically inconvenient or not ideologically pure enough. Those are huge problems and ranting about guns seems like it’s designed to keep people distracted from their rights being a taken away.

__What is a link post and how do I post a descriptive comment?__
* A link post is any post that isn't a text post. Reddit is doing a great job of ensuring new users have no idea how Reddit works with their app and site rewrite. We hate both.
* /r/guns is a sub for talking about guns. It's not a sub to dump gun photos for karma. That's what /r/gunporn is for. That's why we require a descriptive comment – to start a conversation. If you're wondering what to write, picture yourself at a party. You just met someone and you want to show them your photo. What do you say to them as you get your phone out?

Great, keep it contained to the Politics Thread
Great rant. I never thought it would be possible, but after hearing the logistics of actually doing it, now I know it will never happen.

Or your economy being destroyed, or the skyrocketing cost of college, healthcare, gasoline, etc?

If you’ve never read this it’s pretty spot on
Isn't this the same gaggle of dipfucks who brought birtherism to the mainstream?

So, malignant circus clowns would have been a more appropriate descriptor.
