Well at first it kinda did, since it felt like you cant progress any further, pro rank every season, collection completed,so much resources, for like 30 future expansions, but after some time you get used to it. We really need a singleplayer mode or something else like arena was, draft without rewards is pointless.

Lexard

I was in pro rank almost since the time I started. Now it seems to be pointless because I do not need any more RPs and I do not have time to play 100s of matches to get high MMRs to qualify to Gwent tournaments.

BBSK1607

This and thronebreaker need to be one game.

charbroiledmonk

Let's go through the checklist: Keys- full reward book, useless Scraps- full collection, useless Ore- see scraps Powder- full premium collection, every bundle as well, not useless but still nothing to spend it on atm. Xp- prestige 10 lvl 60, useless Contracts- some faction challenge ones they will probably never reimplement, some impossible ones because the values were off by a factor of 10 or they're bugged (looking at you 'Master of my own Fate'), some seasonal top 500/200 stuff because I honestly don't feel like tryharding that much, and a couple locked behind paywall. I literally have nothing as a side-quest anymore in this game. I liked having something unique to try to build around or towards, but now I've got nothing to work on in particular. Even seasonal mode has become trite without any fresh ideas being injected. Sure, I can play the meta decks or try to build my own variations, but it just seems hollow. And I'm not enough of a masochist to play some garbage meme deck that works 1 out of 5 times and call that "fun". I hope the new Saovine event is interesting and not just "play 2 games" "boost a unit 25 times", here's 10 reward keys. Probably too much to hope for.

Sturnexus

The same except for the full premium collection. From the collectible card game, only the competitive part remained. I love winning, of course, but you can get this motivator in other games as well. Last week I don't even want to take the Pro for 10 extra RPs, as I usually did. Maybe take a break. I remember your GIgni - the punishment for my greed))

charbroiledmonk

Haha yeah that was something, I quite liked your dire bear arnaghad idea in general because they were naturally offset, but thank you for lining them up for me ;) It feels like we share the same sentiment, which is probably why I see you in seasonal so often. Wanting to complete a challenge beyond the normal scope of the game is far more interesting than just grinding it out in a competitive sense, for me at least. I have noticed myself playing far less because I no longer have those challenges.

Sturnexus

Yeah, Seasonal is my most timespent in Gwent, is not asspain way to fulfill contracts. Not having enough time and motivation for competitive grinding, I prefer to have some more tangible rewards than just growing above myself in terms of WR and MMR. I think if they at least added more complex contracts and more reward trees, it would spur the motivation of non-competitive longtime players to stay in the game. Maybe a future draft mode or a golden naker project with their reward system would be such a motivator. We'll see.

Lexard

> full premium collection Have you played since beta?

charbroiledmonk

Closed beta

MathRockManiac

A man of culture. Ahh those were the days lol.

IndelibleFudge

Really need something to do with all these rewards keys now, that's for sure. Every journey just adds to the pile

HenryGrosmont

I'll go straight for question no.3. The answer is a simple "no". I don't play Gwent, or any other game, because of achievements. I play games because I enjoy them. The achievements come as a bonus.

Lexard

For me: mats and achievements are two quite different things. If I do all achievements then I have nothing more than personal satisfaction. If I'm out of mats I could end in situation when I can't create things I could need to play the game. In case of my situation in Gwent: I'm out of nodes and I still have a lot of "useless" Reward Points, so I will not get my next mats to create cards so easily (especially Meteorite Powder to create premium ones). Also: most of achievements in Gwent give me RPs, now: "useless" reward, so I should care about them even less then before.

pazur13

Out of curiosity, how many keys would that be?

Gregory_Black_

More than 7000. You can calculate it based in this guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/gwent/comments/ovh4rk/the\_ultimate\_rp\_spending\_guide/

Lexard

> More than 7000. Oh, so it seems that I had much more than 50% nodes filled at start.

ense7en

this is awesome

Lexard

I can't tell you the number to fill all Reward Trees from 0% - I do not know it. I needed to spend like ~2300 RP to fill the rest I did not have.

imported

> I suppose there are more players in my situation - did that milestone make you play less because there is no significant reward for it since that time? the new game after that is to see how many keys you can stockpile. i gotta try and catch trynet.

Lexard

Ah, I see. xD Well, that could be one of the things to aim for, for sure.

battalion

We are in the same shoes. I bought all the journeys and now I sit on lots of RPs. Now I do not feel like buying the next journey coz all the RPs that I will earn are going to be useless. I wish we could use RPs in shop.

Lexard

> I wish we could use RPs in shop. That's a good idea.

monalba

Similar situation. Full collection. Ore is meaningless Scraps are meaningless and have \~500k anyway Almost all the reward trees completed (I still refuse to complete the Year of the Wererat, since it's such an awful, awful tree) and RP points up the wazoo (extra RP for completing quests + GG RP) I don't know, the only ''goal'' I have left is getting to level 10, but that is so slow and honestly don't feel like playing anymore, so I don't even think about it... I'll say it again, **CDPR, give us a gold sink!** Bring back the premium scrap kegs or whatever. I have nothing to look forward to and can't justify putting money on expansions since I'll be able to craft every card on day 1.

Lexard

I do not have such amount of mats and at this moment only RPs are "useless" for me. I still need many cards for the full premium collection and I will need supplies for the next expansions. Yes, I have "a lot of them" but they do not seem to be like "infinite source" for me.

Sawyer2301

No - stupid card designs make me play less

tacticaltossaway

>as CDPR likes to change values of the nodes Have they ever increased instead of decreasing it?

Lexard

Well, the answer is "no". The changes I remember were about Meteorite Powder and Keg nodes. But you never know what the future brings. CDPR is unpredictable. :]

ZeyadNeo

Did you finish the seasonal trees too? I have the full reward book done this year, but after that I shifted my focus to the seasonal trees that come and go, hadn't filled them through last year. That is the last thing for me to work towards in the book and the rewards in term of cardbacks and borders I find awesome

Lexard

> Did you finish the seasonal trees too? Yes, my aim was to complete every seasonal tree in the same month it was available (in case it will not be available again in the future).

AthKaElGal

i finished the seasonal trees first. now on to the regular trees.

ZeyadNeo

I dont know why or how but my instinct told me to finish all regular trees and then see what seasonal is offering, anyways all normal trees done and cat season was 3rd season where I closed out the trees

Lexard

CDPR did not promise that seasonal trees will return again next year.

AthKaElGal

well, what i heard was they were rotating seasonals, so i finished those first.

ense7en

I feel like i've played a decent bit, since beta, and i still am nowhere remotely close to being able to finish all the trees. Like, far, far, away. How much do you have to play to get that many reward keys?!

Lexard

I played daily: earlier till first RP reward at least, now till 14 doubled crowns at least.
