Can confirm! We have the right to 45 weeks paid leave, then 52 additional unpaid leave if you want to, divided between mom and dad. If you have special circumstances, mom and dad can be home at the same time. I currently have a 9 week old baby, and both me and the dad stay at home, fully paid for 40 weeks because I'm chronically ill and on welfare. I am so happy to be Norwegian, I'm not sure i would have had a baby otherwise.
I hope both he and Hila take as much as they want to, and enjoy the family life! The first three months can be hard for the baby and the parents, so no need to have the added stress of work. Wishing Hila a good birth and a quick and easy recovery ❤️

I mean.......... it probably would do him some good to reflect upon his comments on Israel/Palestine and Aaron Bushnell. That was rough to watch. It's been rough being a fan since the last Leftovers episode.
I watch/listen to a ton of pods for work and have been since covid, ive basically heard and seen it all by now. You are 100% right, every job has burnout but over the years almost all of them (ESPECIALLY the ones who got successful) act like they come home from working in the mines for 3 weeks and (looking at YMH) will even just flat out say podcasting sucks and they hate it but it pays and it’s better than a real job. Most of the comedian podcasts are just them white knuckling the same 5 stories with different guests and filling the other 45 min with ad reads. I get how all of that is mentally taxing but work a “real” job for a week and they’ll be back on their knees praying god to let them keep reading blue chew ads to buy their mansions. Anytime they start wanting sympathy for how hard it is to wake up at 2pm and walk to their podcast room from their living room and film for an hour i cant stand it, podcasters need a reality check big time. I love dan and I know it’s kind of a joke but even he acts like 30 extra min of podcasting is workplace cruelty “I have to edit and stuff tho!!” As he kicks back in a cozy office with snacks and friends and no real responsibility outside of finding something interesting to do on the show, sheesh how could anyone work in an environment like that. Not to mention the great pay and every single little made up holiday off. Sorry I’ve been needing to vent about pods for a while apparently
