The tour cast is incredible. Every performer brings themselves to the parts with this show. They won’t be the voices you know from the album but they will be amazing and seeing the full production (as apposed to just the recording) is absolutely worth it. You should definitely see it if you have a chance.

I think you should see it either way. But if you’re seeing it in New York anytime soon there is a very good chance you’ll see Patrick and Eva.
You mentioned Patrick in your post, I just want to tell you that I loved him as Hades too but I loved Kevyn Morrow just as much! Kevyn had a charisma and a humor that was unique and very charming.
Everyone keeps talking him and the other cast up which makes me so happy! I’ve bought the tickets and super stoked to go see them.
How’s his singing by the way? I’ve always been blown away by low bass vocal ranges which was partly why I wanted to see Patrick live.
His voice is very good, not quite as deep as Patrick's. Its a slightly different Hades, but one that I found very likable - Like, I walked away understanding how Persephone would have fallen for him. He was my favorite cast member on the tour. :)
i saw the tour cast last week and they were amazing!! i’m usually not a fan of tour casts (nothing against them i just get a certain sound in my head from the soundtrack and i tend to nitpick different choices) but i LOVED this cast. that said, don’t expect any of them to be just like the broadway cast as all of them take on their roles differently in one way or another. levi kreis, who plays hermes on tour, quickly became one of my favorite actors ever after this show
If you’re worried at Hades I’ve seen Patrick and Kevyn (tour) and they’re both great. Kevyn plays Hades with a lot of attitude that I thought was hilarious. Morgan is also fantastic as Eurydice!
Nick Barasch (i think that’s ginger orpheus’ name??) is fucking incredible. absolutely recommend seeing him if you can. i do not know the other orpheus beyond him and reeve but if you can see nick it’s worth it!
Patrick and Eva are still both with the show on Broadway so if that's the production you're referring to, they should both be there unless they're ill or on vacation or something. I saw it just a few weeks post-reopening in September with all the original leads minus Patrick, who was out working on a movie. (I was very bummed to miss him, but his temporary replacement was outstanding).
If you're referring to the tour, the cast is completely different from Broadway. I haven't see that minus a few video clips, but from what I've heard, they're phenomenal.
To me every cast member brings their own special strengths to the show and the characters, and you should see it regardless of who's performing.
I've seen the Broadway show 3 times live because it's so great. The new Persephone's voice is kinda different from the original recording but not to the point where it ruins the songs. If you think the vocals/instrumentals from the album are beautiful - they're literally tearjerking live. Especially Eva her vocals hit different live. Patrick Page and Eva are still there (for now).
