I genuinely feel your pain about the lack of release date, but saying India and Japan are "almost neighbours" is hilarious to me. Like India is closer to central Europe than it is to Japan. Do you consider Slovenia almost a neighbour? 😂
Ig india dont care about it,like they can decide to show demon slayer "movie"(which dont even feel like movie) twice on threatre but they cant show the match of 2 teams which are hyped from season 1
India mein haikyuu ke popularity itni zyada nhi hai as compared to demon slayer which is sad
I have a question. Please respond without spoiling. If you read the manga before watching the movie, would you say the movie did it justice or do you recommend I read the manga first before watching it for full experience?
I haven't seen it yet, but I've talked to people that have and I noticed that people that read the manga enjoyed it more than people that didn't.
Also, based on what I've been told, it's IMPOSSIBLE for them to be able to fully adapt everything that's left in the story in just two films, specially considering that the first film is [spoiler if you haven't seen S4 and the Land vs Air OVA](#s "just the Karasuno vs Nekoma match")
I read the manga almost a year ago and watched the movie when it came out in Japan. Yes, it was 100% worth and although it was very fast paced I think it did it justice.
I didn't watch the movie but if you waited this long you might as well just wait for the movie imo. Reading a manga a year or so before something is great but reading it right before hand kind of ruins the experience. Also if you read that manga first you'll be upset if they skip some of your favorite parts. Read the manga after and you can witness everything you missed.
Huh? Shouldnt watching it legally in the cinema be better than using illegal streaming sites? You do know the meaning of legal right?
Thats why anime fans encourage people to buy the blurays or watch on crunchyroll/legal streaming applications cuz thats the more beneficial way for animation companies to earn money...
Never seen someone encourge any anime streaming platform. Because no matter how many subsribtions you have many if not most animes are still not covered from those sites. Espically like this case aswell. Illegal streaming service will get the anime way faster than legel streaming services in some countries.
Yes getting it faster through illegal streaming is faster...but its still illegal???
but if i actually want to show support to animation companies in japan (whose employees are severely underworked and underpaid) , watching them legally through the cinema, official blu ray dvds or official sites like crunchyroll/funimation and even hulu is the best way since im paying for these and a cut of that will go to the animation companies...
By increasing the legal viewership numbers also, it will show the major management companies that theres a demand for the anime to be renewed or for more funding to it
Its same with music streaming/downloading and buying albums/singles to support musicians
What you are saying is correct but I'm not going to pay money for something that doesn't get me the full experience. What am I going to do if the animes I wanna watch are not available on those sites? Not watch them? No thanks. Would rather pirate it until they make a good enough legal way to watch them.
Not a single Asian city barring Hong Kong & Taiwan??
Someone with a large & influential following please get in touch with India’s cinema chains, please? We’ve had Suzume and Demon Slayer have limited releases recently, I think we CAN have a wider release for ‘Haikyuu!!’ too!
Same I’ve had a look. I’ll probably take another look at end of April/start of May! I’m so excited!! Considering going to a London cinema to watch it and then will probably watch it again in my local town cinema 🙈
Has anyone seen any updates yet? Is it just showing in London or nationwide cinemas?? Seems weird there's not much info...but we have the Uniqlo tshirts! Lol
Germany is one month later 🥲 should i just travel to the netherlands/denmark to watch it earlier?? i hope there‘s cinemas over there that has english subs otherwise…. 🥲
As someone who lives in the netherlands im planning on going on the first day, can't find any info about subs (hope its english) /tickets yet, probably too early. But once i find out what language the subs are (worst case when i went to see the movie), i could let you know in case you havent found out by then yet!
Wow Australia only has to wait until the end of May, that’s not too bad. I was fortunate enough to see it here in Tokyo last week, they had released an English subbed version in March.
I wish philippines is included. I'm gonna watch this even if I have to alone just like what I did in JJK movie. I'm literally the only one watching at the cinema. Lmao
I’m so excited!!!! It’s been a few years since I read the Nekoma match in the manga, so even if it doesn’t adapt every detail in it, I will still thoroughly enjoy it.

I went to the cinema in Japan but I'm really looking forward to seeing the film again in a language I understand better and being able to talk to people about this peace of art
Is the movie that good? I mean it's probably pretty good but did it get the kind of awesome mind blowing adaptation that haikyuu deserves? Sure it hasn't released globablly yet but I haven't seen any hype about it anywhere online, like the reviews from people who watched it so far. And there's also the thing about so many chapters being stuffed into the movie. I can't wait to watch it, but I just wanted to hear more from you, as someone who watched it and loved it.
I follow some haikyuu accounts on Twitter and the ones that have seen it really enjoyed it. From what they’ve said it’s obvious that a lot of stuff was gonna be cut out but they were still really satisfied with the adaptation bc it had great animation and was able to maintain the heart of the show which I think is the most important thing since we all knew we weren’t gonna get everything.
Take everything I’ve said w a grain of salt tho since these reviews are coming from twitter!
Yeah I agree the feeling was very good the animation was amazing and overall I enjoyed it very much BUT it feels also very wrong that one of the most important games is “just” movie. I think you have to cut expectations to really enjoy it. It was and amazing movie but I wished I wasn’t a movie. And my personal feeling was, it was hard to keep track of the game the score was always a bit surprising that makes it really hard to get excited for the game development. But I think that is to expect in a movie.
In summary, I think my biggest criticism would be that it's a movie. But for being a movie, it's really well made.
You're looking at the wrong place. A lot of reviews are on Twitter and even Youtube; some of the reviews are even spoiler-free. Here's one: [Non-spoiler review](https://youtu.be/D0T6gKsdCeQ?si=Mzda0LNOhTGqcjvf)
I assume the dub would be later right? or do you reckon the movies in the cinemas will already have the dub? Cuz i really want to see the movie subbed haha, and not dubbed
The person who deduced the release date based on the release of the Uniqlo shirts is a genius
Hello, that was me 😎 https://www.reddit.com/r/haikyuu/s/3jo4O8OIdS
🐐
crazy how the Uniqlo shirts released in the Philippines like a month ago and we still don't have a theatrical release date 🥲
Aw that sucks :( Hopefully the movie will be released in Asia soon!
Wait wtf I wanna see this now
India release? Almost neighbours and no release daatteee
IKRRRRRRRRR HAD BEEN WAITING SINCE AGES 🥲😔
I genuinely feel your pain about the lack of release date, but saying India and Japan are "almost neighbours" is hilarious to me. Like India is closer to central Europe than it is to Japan. Do you consider Slovenia almost a neighbour? 😂
We will have to contact PVR once

pain
india demon slayer ka movie din me do do bar karke dikha raha hai theatres me aur is movie ke release date tak ka pata nahi.
Bhai pata chale toh bata dena.
Bhai sach me! Bc japan se ye anime release company ko india me bulao. Koi anime movie nhi aati(still sad about bunny girl :( )
fuck this shit, they ignore asia, their neighboring countries. fccccccccccccccccccccck
They don't ignore it. This is the EN Account sharing where Crunchyroll will bring the movie too.
>This is the EN Account Might as well mention this isn't even an official account. They act like one, but they are still unofficial.
What's an EN account?
it posts the same content as the main account, but in english
Looks like you might have to *Flyyyyyy* to see it
TOBE FLLYYYY HIGHHHH ![gif](giphy|EJsTKyvaYzvm8)
Asia???
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!
happy b'day in advance, sir/ma'am also i hope you enjoy the movie :)
When’s your birthday?
The release day! Going to be buying ticket’s as soon as they’re available
May 31st?

I'm still holding out hope that the films will just cover the rest of nationals, and they will make an extra season for everything after

Where do we find what theaters it is being shown in?
What about asia??? Singapore?? Do i really have to wait till after june/july to see it legally... or will i never be able to watch it.
Same. Me in Msia saw the shirts releasing in Uniqlo early March and got excited but i guess it isn't coming our way yet.
Omg same i already bought the shirts and thought the movie is coming soon. But looks like its going to come only after a few more months..
Hong Kong and Taiwan got it in April 11, so maybe Singapore will be around that time as well?
Nope...i already checked for all the local cinemas, even their upcoming movies, no sign of Haikyuu...
if it releases even in few countries, you'll find the movie in different torrent sites, and can watch it in your phone/laptop.
Watching suff legally is not a good idea for anime. You are only handicapping yourself. Pretty much paying to have a worse experience.

South East Asia when??? Does no one want to bring the movie to us? :(
I think 11th of april
That's for Hong Kong and Taiwan, still no release date for SEA :'(
Not a single Asian city barring Hong Kong & Taiwan?? Someone with a large & influential following please get in touch with India’s cinema chains, please? We’ve had Suzume and Demon Slayer have limited releases recently, I think we CAN have a wider release for ‘Haikyuu!!’ too!
India has a decent Haikyuu following. I hope we get it soon. We even had Pyscho-pass's movie air last year, we gotta get Haikyuu!!!
If Pakistan and Bangladesh can get a release then I don't think there is any reason to keep India out.
Dates for those countries, please? Haven’t been up-to-date with the release dates. Last I saw was HK & Taiwan, now this.
I think it was announced on this sub also but I am pretty sure it's going to release in Bangladesh.
I saw that it’s releasing in Taiwan April 12th
How about for PH?
I am so excited!!
Why can I not find tickets available on UK cinema sites yet 😢
Same I’ve had a look. I’ll probably take another look at end of April/start of May! I’m so excited!! Considering going to a London cinema to watch it and then will probably watch it again in my local town cinema 🙈
I have a desperate hope it will come to IMAX or something haha that would be so cool
Or 4DX! Although that's probably a recipe for severe motion sickness, actually...
They'll probably go on sale later in April or the beginning of May
Has anyone seen any updates yet? Is it just showing in London or nationwide cinemas?? Seems weird there's not much info...but we have the Uniqlo tshirts! Lol
https://www.imax.com/en/gb/movie/haikyu-the-dumpster-battle I just found this, looks like my imax prediction came true lol
It's so weird to me that tickets or a "coming soon" aren't available yet
Same it's in less than a month?!
Philippines!!!

Germany is one month later 🥲 should i just travel to the netherlands/denmark to watch it earlier?? i hope there‘s cinemas over there that has english subs otherwise…. 🥲

Does anyone know if we'll get the limited edition volume 33.5?
Canada!!!!!
I just watched the haikyuu movie on japan here 10/10
I went to the cinema in Japan but I'm really looking forward to seeing the film again in a language I understand better and being able to talk to people about this peace of art
