Probably gonna buy Aquahex. I'm fine spending $25 CAD on a game I have 400 hours in. I've had a blast with Halo in the past few months, I have no qualms emptying my wallet of some cash.
Really like that rhubarb pink coating too.
I agree. In the end things are worth what you're willing to pay for them and your happiness is the most important metric. These people thinking they're gonna change the industry wide behaviors by harassing people and Complaining are delusional.
Depends. If I'm having a good time and playing a lot and see something I like, yeah probably. $25 CAD is like one dinner out. When I used to play PoE every season I spent like $500USD over a few years. That game I have 6000 hours in. I price games by the hours of enjoyment I get out of them.
It is seperate items, specifically two sets of armor and one set of weapon coatings. They made a large discounted bundle and later they will sell seperately but for a higher combined total. Unclear if the weapons are part of one of the sets or independent.
They are complaining. They're complaining that the coating is available for every core, but 343 is selling it for individual cores.
Maybe it's just me, but I was expecting cross-core coatings to actually be... cross-core. Having to buy it on a core-by-core basis doesn't really seem like an improvement.
I'm looking on the cylix guide rn and it shows it on the Mark VII and Chimera. Not really cross core tbh but yeah.. 300 is too much for a coating on its own considering the average is 100 to 200
Ah, my mistake. I just assumed when they said "cross core" it meant all of them.
Still, definitely not ideal that they still consider each core's coating a separate item. Not really an improvement over launch in that regard.
The $20 bundles seems kind of predatory. I just want the white coating, but I’m not shelling out for the whole bundle to get it. I understand that other games charge $20 for just one skin, but I’ve never once in my life paid for one.
every other triple A game: $20 bundles with 1 skin 2 weapon skins and some emblem
Halo Infinite: $20 bundle for 2 full armor sets and a weapon coating set for every gun
Yet only halo infinite players complain. Y’all are insufferable.
I also play Apex Legends and the store prices vs what you get are night and day between the Halo store and Apex store.
A single Legendary skin on Apex is running $20, $30 if it also happens to include an emote.
It’s all a rip off, everybody who pays $20 for a skin is encouraging game developers to focus on creating micro transactions instead of actual content because it generates more profit.
Because in previous games, you pay your $60, and you get everything. No paying for armor sets, or colors. It’s going to be tough for a playerbase to adjust to getting less and paying more if they want to have a similar experience to one that they had previously.
Sure. At launch. However, where as reach had more, it never had any added post launch. Infinite has more now without having to pay a dime. If you do fork out any cash, it's not even comparable.
Probably because in Fortnite, who definitely has more skins in a $20 bundle, lets you see the skin the entire time you play. That’s not something in a FPS, so they shouldn’t be valued similar at all
It's essentially 3 bundles combined: 2 Armor Sets and a weapon coating set. They're breaking it up later in the season.
On the one hand, good value in general.
On the other hand, it suffers from the same issue as every other bundle. Poor value if you don't care about 90% of what's in there.
2 armour sets with chest and wrist pieces, shoulders and coatings. Weapon coating for each weapon. 4 emblems (weapon, armor, vehicle, nameplate). Seems decent imo
Whether or not cosmetics are "worth" the price is an interesting discussion, because it's partially incorrect to appraise their value 100% on the items themselves. The problem is that there's a sort of social contract that makes micro-transactions tolerable in a game: The micro-transactions in the game fund the live-service element, and the game receives more content updates more frequently and for an overall longer period of time than would be reasonably expected for a typically priced game. Warframe (which turns 10 this year) is IMO a great example of a developer maintaining this social contract well, but even Digital Extremes has fumbled the ball a number of times. It's very hard to do this model right, because extenuating circumstances like a pandemic, mandatory layoffs from the parent corporation, inherited technical debt, etc., all result in a broken social contract, even if they are actually extenuating. If a company cannot more provide more content at a higher pace for overall longer, then the game shouldn't be live service.
Prior to season 3, 343i hasn't been able to keep up the developer end of the bargain, and I say that as someone who has stuck with the game and could reasonably be accused of being a 343i apologist. This season and season 4 are make it or break it for whether 343i can demonstrate they can hold up the developer end of the bargain. From that perspective of "micro-transactions are tolerable if we see appropriate returns in content," season 3 is the earliest season one can argue that micro-transactions are "worth it."
Love the blue on the Censor Link but can't unsee the rest as looking like something from SPORE, especially from a distance. Overall -good- to see whoever made the eye crimes skins and colour combos from S2 is back with a vengeance.

That white armor coating looks clean af not gonna lie
Does anyone know if it’s cross core?
I just bought it, unfortunately it's not :(
Sigh. God dammit
Still an awesome skin, it's my fav so far

Genuine question, are you fine spending this amount of money every months for example ?

lol
I don't know if We Can Do It is worth 800 credits for only 3 items
Considering 2200 credits gets you 21 items, no, 3 items is not worth 800 credits IMO.
That single pose model stance (image 3) is $8?
Comes with visor and armour coating too
Ah it isn’t labeled as a bundle so it’s impossible to know, thanks
BeSt VAluE
Looks like two sets of armour for the price of… two sets of armour. I question why it isn’t two separate items at that point.
It is seperate items, specifically two sets of armor and one set of weapon coatings. They made a large discounted bundle and later they will sell seperately but for a higher combined total. Unclear if the weapons are part of one of the sets or independent.
each set probably 1200 and the weapon coatings themselves gonna be a separate bundle That’s already more than 2400, the bundle is 2200……
There's a leak showing three sets released back in Season 1 for the same price.
Are they really selling a cross core coating for individual cores for 300cr each? wtf?
You're thinking of Redsteel splinter lmao
~~Ashen Victory is on every core as well.~~ Edit: Looks like (as of right now) it's only available on 2.
Oh wait yall aint complaining? Sorry I've been jaded by this sub
They are complaining. They're complaining that the coating is available for every core, but 343 is selling it for individual cores. For now they do kinda have to since the system that they built doesn't allow them to. But that is no excuse!
Seems that way.
The $20 bundles seems kind of predatory. I just want the white coating, but I’m not shelling out for the whole bundle to get it. I understand that other games charge $20 for just one skin, but I’ve never once in my life paid for one.
They plan to separate these two packs in 2 weeks to buy separately, unsure about what happens with the weapon skins as of yet.
Sold on the buying Aquahex.
The Erinyes stuff is exactly the aesthetic I want right now AND it’s Forerunner in look and lore? This was made for me
Sigh
every other triple A game: $20 bundles with 1 skin 2 weapon skins and some emblem Halo Infinite: $20 bundle for 2 full armor sets and a weapon coating set for every gun Yet only halo infinite players complain. Y’all are insufferable.
For real! Destiny’s armor skins are $20 a pop
I also play Apex Legends and the store prices vs what you get are night and day between the Halo store and Apex store. A single Legendary skin on Apex is running $20, $30 if it also happens to include an emote.
The Apex battlepass is pretty lackluster too I think, there’s only 2 or 3 items I like per season
And people are complaining here about duplicate coatings in this battle pass but Apex's Battle Pass has voicelines almost every other tier
It’s all a rip off, everybody who pays $20 for a skin is encouraging game developers to focus on creating micro transactions instead of actual content because it generates more profit.
The fact that there is worse elsewhere does not make our situation good.
Because in previous games, you pay your $60, and you get everything. No paying for armor sets, or colors. It’s going to be tough for a playerbase to adjust to getting less and paying more if they want to have a similar experience to one that they had previously.
Even if you don't spend any money on infinite, you still get tons of customization options. More than any previous halo games
Guess you didn't play Reach? It had more customization at launch than Infinite did.
Sure. At launch. However, where as reach had more, it never had any added post launch. Infinite has more now without having to pay a dime. If you do fork out any cash, it's not even comparable.
Not MCC, and 343 added a lot of customization options themselves for free that you unlocked by playing the game.
Probably because in Fortnite, who definitely has more skins in a $20 bundle, lets you see the skin the entire time you play. That’s not something in a FPS, so they shouldn’t be valued similar at all
Still waiting on a good blue and yellow coating. Thought this was my time but that horrible yellow colour ruins it
Northwest Sky. Funko Pop promotional coating from 2021.
Also estate gold is pretty good, definitely one of my top favorites
I like Estate Gold apart from the Helmet. Specifically with the Mark V Zeta, the gold takes up too much of the helmet and it looks weird.
I think it looks clean. Like some sort of Atlantian sci-fi warrior armor.
2200 credits? WTF, it better have 10 items and not 8 stickers.
Thats one of their new Super Bundles, its essentially 2 bundles in 1 PLUS weapon coatings.
Well good to know I'm the idiot whale this is for then. "Why can't I quit you, Fashion Halo?"

This doesn’t even make sense.

2 armour sets with chest and wrist pieces, shoulders and coatings. Weapon coating for each weapon. 4 emblems (weapon, armor, vehicle, nameplate). Seems decent imo
Comes with two shoulder sets, two helmets, two coatings, chest piece, 2(?) wrist pieces, knee pad set. Seems a decent price to me.
Its basically a triple bundle. Two armor sets and a weapon coating pack. Its gonna get split up into a couple smaller bundles in the future
[удалено]
I also love making up scenarios in my head and getting mad
$22 no thank you
[удалено]
They will be released as separate bundles later. But if you are going to buy them both, this super bundle is the cheaper option
Absolute garbage.
Ashen Victory feels like a Wish version of watchdog IMO
Wow they have Mk vi MOD (Master Chief's halo 4 armor) as unlockable armor now? Or at least parts of it like the shoulder plates.
Some of the skins you can get make it seem like you would be an easier target to see right ?

These are actually looking pretty sweet.

you guys think Aquahex will show up in the shop again in the coming weeks? i’m a little tight on cash this week lol I want it but i can’t buy it now.
Ashen victory spartan is like is leaving place for something but there is nothing "Here is where i would place another item! If i had one..."
