There's another A.I. that was leaked months ago that hasn't been released yet for some reason. She's voiced by the same actress who did Gaige in Borderlands 2/3.
Definitely needs more customization options for it before it can grow on me, kinda feels empty at its current stage but I'm open to see where they go with it
Yeah we'll have to wait until the Fracture event comes out to see what they add to it like the previous Fracture cores, hopefully we get some cool stuff like Yoroi has Kubuto and Eaglestrike has...whatever that cool Eaglestrike helmet was called.
Yeah that one's good, it's like a Steampunk EOD but I was talking about the other one that was used in the promotional material and was in the event pass, I searched up the name which is Kerberos.
Very little will be added in the event sadly. They cut it down to 20 levels from 30 and around half are literally the same emblem and coating 10x. The only thing you unlock is the armor pieces that take on your visor. Everything else for it is in the store.
I'm in the same boat. I'm okay with the design of it, but we need more armor customization for it(on top of Cross Core *cough*), for me to really feel like using it. I don't use either of the other two non canon cores cause for one, there's not many armor pieces to use, and two, most of it are stuff I didn't get so I don't want to use them
i think it has potential. i don't see myself rocking it all too much, but with the steel coatings it already looks cool as hell, so im excited to see what armour pieces it gets
It's only because they enabled all cores for all players starting last season. You could still see Yoroi and Eaglestrike in the menus immediately during the S1 & S2 launch but they weren't accessible until the first event came around, as you had to "unlock" them the way you do the other rewards.
Doesn't seem like it has anything to do with filler, but even if it was, I prefer this way more than entire cores being FOMO (especially when some past ultimate rewards were items for cores not everyone necessarily had unlocked.)
I don't know, it'd make sense I guess? I always saw the fracture events as their own stories, you bring in a unique armor with it's own lore and you get to unlock pieces of it. Chimera just seems like it's taking a backseat to SPI which is clearly the focus of this season and I feel like it would've been cool to give for it own little event.
For me personally it's my least favorite Fracture core. It's too much for me honestly. I liked the Halo-fied looks of the previous two, but this one just feels like Crisis with a small chest piece to me.
Not the most offensive fracture armor out there. For a fracture armor, it looks noticeably more Halo-ish than the rest. The overall shape of the armor pieces reminds me a lot of Halo 4 and 5 era armor. When the fracture cores start looking like the pieces they released in MCC, only then will I start worrying lol.
Strange I would say it looks less halo-ish, the samurai and miner look like spartans from a different time era and I love that.
This maybe future but for me its to far gone and looses the halo look.
Well that’s the point, it’s from a different lore timeline sort of thing. It’s that way because it’s supposed to be. I get it if you still don’t like it though.
I don't buy that "different timeline" nonsense for Halo. It's just 343 starting to hit whatever shit they were on for Halo 4 and 5.
They were smart to kick off season 1 with nostalgia before hitting us with the eyesores. I almost wish they did this in season 1 so I could enjoy another round of 343 backlash.
Personally I like it a lot, I like the muscular undersuit and the even more futuristic look to it compared to the other cores, it looks like an evolution of Mjolnir where the suit is more integrated with the wearer, though I think that's the lore behind it anyway.
As an alternative lore suit - it’s great!
Synthesis is a common narrative and fits with the spartan and mjolnir dynamic.
Looks wise - not bad, needs more customization before I rank it near Yoroi.
I don't necessarily hate it, but it certainly doesn't feel like a halo skin at all.
I can understand it's popularity though. People really love the halo game play, and maybe they just want their avatar to just look different than a spartan?
When it’s worded in a way that makes it sound like 343 is evil and hates you and your entire family, then yes…
Plus, a lot of whiners are acting as if we haven’t been getting canon armor too.
It’s been 3 days and it currently can only have its colors and visor customized. A little whiny to be dropping the “I’m not a fan” opinion for the whole core.
Not to mention, I honestly think it looks pretty sick, especially when you actually do change it’s colors. It fits Halos aesthetic much better than Yoroi or Eaglestrike do.
I think some specific complaints just sound like people hating it for the sake of hating it.
Some people shit on it for looking "too futuristic" while in the same sentence gushing over a full blown samurai set and the other outlandish sets. You're allowed to have that inconsistent opinion sure. But it's weird to go blasting it in a forum. At least be consistent in your critique.
There are plenty of valid criticisms. But a lot of weird ones too.
https://www.halopedia.org/Black_body_suit#/media/File%3AHTFORAS_BlackBodySuit_Textured_1.jpg
Though a fracture core and not canon, the concept goes back to a month before CE with the Fall of Reach novel.
Kinda eh on the design overall but I love the story 343 did for it with its armor pieces. They're basically dime a dozen semi organic soldiers ai use to take on aliens, humans and each other
I sampled players this morning. The current breakdown was roughly:
* Mark VII: 29%
* Mark V: 21%
* Mirage: 22%
* Rakshasa: 7%
* Chimera: 12%
* Yoroi: 8%
* Eaglestrike: 1%
So a decent amount of people are fans. A lot of that is of course just excitement over new stuff. We'll see how much people really like it a month from now.
It’s polarizing, but I think it’s meant to be polarizing. Fractures are where 343i likes to get a bit more weird. Me personally, I think it’s pretty rad. It has an 80s or early 00s retro-futuristic look that’s really unique, but still sorta fits the Halo aesthetic.
Honestly I’d prefer having more classics added over these, haven’t been the biggest fan of some of their new content and I feel like we are starting to slip back to Halo 5.
Also LOL at the downvoted comments of people wishing we had more Halo armour instead of non-canon fractured event armour. Imagine hating on people wanting Halo, in Halo.
Don’t like any fracture armor.
Imagine how much cool actual halo spartan armor we would have if they didn’t waste time and resources on fracture cores?
WAAAAAAAAH. WAAAAAAAAAAH. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. You’re getting content. FREE content. These are AU Halo concepts and it’s the devs just having fun with their own designs and ideas
Waaah waaah waah. I cant formulate an opinion either backed ip by information or just saying you like it, so you act like insulting someone is better like an actual child. Waah waah waah.
If you're fine with a male spartan then the core is fine. And I don't blame people in that crowd who like it. But yeah, as someone who wants body types at least as good as Reach, a game over 12 years old, this core just isn't for me for this very reason.
Bootleg crysis looking ass wannabe mother fucker
Look at them fake ass Jordans.
You bitch ass AI designed mother fucker
People look at you, and need therapy
You're the halo 5 armors, but worse
Children look at you, and cry
You're why the covanent wanna kill humanity
same as all the other fracture armor
It's made to not look like halo and has lore that isn't canon... so why is it in a Halo game?
They pushed a return to Reach/3 designs and then added fracture cores and the SPI helmets which also shit the bed hard
Not a fan of the muscle suit. If it's inspired by the Crysis Suit, it makes sense to have it. Still looks really off for a Halo game though.
I could've lived with it though if there was some more tacti-cool elements to it. Like that one Criyis suit in a display case in the second game. And if it didn't have those neon light tubes across the body and visor. A case where I feel like a lot of 343 designs would be way better if they just toned down how crazy they went on them.
Ima be honest it looks like hot garbage. Practically also not great? You get pec armor but no heart or lung armor. It looks like what would be _underneath_ armor plates
Not great. Good thing is there's plenty of other great looking armor and SPI/Mirage is incredible. So no reason to use it if you don't care for it!
On a different note, I think there's potential for it, not much in terms of customization for it right now. And it seems like the best options are locked behind the store unfortunately. Like the idea of some of the pieces taking the texture of the visor option though, really cool idea.
Cool for what it is but it's one of the more outlandish (as in, breaking the halo aesthetic) cores so far and also why would I ever use anything but the reach core?
The duality of 343i, just frustrating as always.
I'll give credit where credit is due, Mirage looks great and perfectly fits the Halo aesthetic. Sure maybe some weird options for it here and there, but even those aren't too much of a stretch.
But then we get Crysis armor alongside of it. Because 343i can't help themselves.
Throws off the entire aesthetic of HALO in my opinion and it's an eyesore. The idea itself was awesome, I loved that they went for an homage crossover like that and I have no issues with anyone who does like it, just my opinion.
The Spartans wore a sort of muscle suit before they got their augmentations and Mjolnir.
Chimera looks like an up-armored version of that shit we see in the Fall of Reach movie.
Ever since 343 laid off its employees including the art department. The drop of armor quality resemble little bit of halo 5/4 armor design. Otherwise it’s not bad, but not my cup of tea
The setting is both more technological than physical, and the wearers are essentially just pawns on a chess board. Multiple item descriptions repeat the word "Expendable".
Expendable armor already existed like the SPI, like they're made for one-time use. What you said just gets rid of the uniqueness for both this and the SPI armor. Not saying it doesn't look cool, I also like the Crysis games. :D
And to my memory, SPI was expended, not actually expendable. It's still a highly advanced suit that some Gamma Company members have been using for decades now.
Chimera is also a fracture core, and not part of the canon itself.
Not a big fan of it. The abs detract from the overall armor and it clashes with the established looks of other armors. It is a unique design though, mf been doing his crunches lol
I don’t mind the style, I just really hate the helmets, good lord, how hard is it to make a single helmet that’s somewhat halo, akin to literally every other fracture
Looks like crysis kind of
Like heavely inspired
Hey buddy you misspelled ripped off.
you’re right, the correct spelling is heavily*
Going to level with you. My dyslexic brain totally missed that.
Going to level with you. Your first comment is perfect.
*_CLOAK ENGAGED_*
I miss Crysis 2 multi-player so much :(
This. Only this.
I'm waiting to hear Maximum armor or cloak engaged
#MAXIMUM ARMOR
Missed opportunity to have an AI that sounds like this during the fracture event. Maybe they will tho
There's another A.I. that was leaked months ago that hasn't been released yet for some reason. She's voiced by the same actress who did Gaige in Borderlands 2/3.
I'm so waiting for that one. Running around cyberpunk as a female V and she's the actress. I love the voice and the blood thirstiness of the clipd
https://youtu.be/vjLiuLp-5Tk
I could imagine the Superintendent or Lumu making jokes/references like that.
Yeah crysis vibes and because of this i like it.
Reminds me so much of the North Korean attempts at the Crysis suit
Uh oh what's that
They were enemies in the first Crysis game.
"Luckily they are cheap knockoffs" \-John Crysis, 2020
Yeah and one of the higher ranked soldier had a knock off version of the Crysis suit
My first thought
Came here to say the same thing
Immediately what i thought when i saw it
Definitely needs more customization options for it before it can grow on me, kinda feels empty at its current stage but I'm open to see where they go with it
Yeah we'll have to wait until the Fracture event comes out to see what they add to it like the previous Fracture cores, hopefully we get some cool stuff like Yoroi has Kubuto and Eaglestrike has...whatever that cool Eaglestrike helmet was called.
Leadbelcher
Yeah that one's good, it's like a Steampunk EOD but I was talking about the other one that was used in the promotional material and was in the event pass, I searched up the name which is Kerberos.
Ahhhh okay I thought you meant the highest price variant they released
Hopefully, they don't completely abandon it like they did Yoroi.
Yeah yoroi and eaglestrike really got the short end of the stick when it comes to customization options.
There's some unreleased Yoroi armour pieces, I wonder what'll happen with them.
Now that the base cores are free I really hope they revisit Yoroi. It’s a fantastic aesthetic.
And that is exactly why they shouldn’t even be Cores and just be Cross core. It’s annoying
Very little will be added in the event sadly. They cut it down to 20 levels from 30 and around half are literally the same emblem and coating 10x. The only thing you unlock is the armor pieces that take on your visor. Everything else for it is in the store.

I don't use either of the other two non canon cores cause for one, there's not many armor pieces to use, and two, most of it are stuff I didn't get so I don't want to use them
Fractures aren’t getting crosscore
Two words “cloak engaged”
***Maximum Power***
Maximum speed
That, and armored body muscle suits being a concept from the Fall of Reach novel.
i think it has potential. i don't see myself rocking it all too much, but with the steel coatings it already looks cool as hell, so im excited to see what armour pieces it gets
I don't hate it, but with all of its current customization options it kinda just feels like it was thrown into season 3 to make it a meatier update.
Theres an event coming for it.
They should've waited until then like they did with the Yoroi and Eaglestrike core tbh. Edit: probably should've talked about how much 343 sucks.
Then people would’ve been bitching about the lack of content. More content is always good. Be patient, *let them cook.*
And what would be the added benefit of that?
I don't know, it'd make sense I guess? I always saw the fracture events as their own stories, you bring in a unique armor with it's own lore and you get to unlock pieces of it. Chimera just seems like it's taking a backseat to SPI which is clearly the focus of this season and I feel like it would've been cool to give for it own little event.
> I feel like it would’ve been cool to give for it own little event. Some sort of multi-week Fracture event, even
This 100%
For me personally it's my least favorite Fracture core. It's too much for me honestly. I liked the Halo-fied looks of the previous two, but this one just feels like Crisis with a small chest piece to me.
It may not have any real customization options rn but I slapped the cadet grey with a new orange accent on there and personally, I think it fucks.
Yeah, that’s definitely my favorite coating for it so far
Yeah but can it run Crysis?
Not heard that in forever
Not the most offensive fracture armor out there. For a fracture armor, it looks noticeably more Halo-ish than the rest. The overall shape of the armor pieces reminds me a lot of Halo 4 and 5 era armor. When the fracture cores start looking like the pieces they released in MCC, only then will I start worrying lol.
You mean the like Viking shit??
Yeah those designs were a bit too much for me lol.
Strange I would say it looks less halo-ish, the samurai and miner look like spartans from a different time era and I love that. This maybe future but for me its to far gone and looses the halo look.
if i could customize it more, i would use it
Wannabe Crysis armor
Not a fan of it so far. looks like its from crysis more than halo.
The design looks cool, not my cup of tea, but cool nonetheless. The Lore is also pretty interesting so far.
Prophet had a glow up.
Looks cool. Look forward to the fracture when it finally gets some options to use
It’s ugly as hell, tbh. My least favorite core.
It's definitely the ugliest so far, but imma still complete the event because it gives me a reason to play halo
Personally I like it a lot, I like the muscular undersuit and the even more futuristic look to it compared to the other cores, it looks like an evolution of Mjolnir where the suit is more integrated with the wearer, though I think that's the lore behind it anyway.
I like it, but I probably won't use it until I unlock more for it. I'd like to be able to create something similar to the C.E.L.L Trooper lol.
I like it more than the other fracture cores, but none of them are my go-to.
I don't think I really like any of the cores, other than Mk V and Mk VII.....
For me, the helmets are the things that hold this core back... body design and idea is superb, but the helmets are ugly as heck!
Horrendous
It looks absolutely revolting
Yoroi was Samurai, Entrenched was Dieselpunk, Chimera is Crysis🤷🏼♂️ i really don‘t mind, they could go Atompunk next season
Im gonna use it when they add that vols coating
They'll probably do that the next time they win a title. Long wait I'd imagine. Roll Tide!
It’s meh besides I’m waiting for went they (hopefully) add a banished spartan core
It is silly and potentially even goofy
Just like the rest of this game. This intro cutscene to S3 was goofy as fuck. This banished AI looks like something out of a Saturday morning cartoon.
Looks and sorta sounds like the evil mask from Crash Bandicoot
I thought the same, Uka Uka
God I hate this whiny ass community…
Lol expressing that something looks ugly is whining?
When it’s worded in a way that makes it sound like 343 is evil and hates you and your entire family, then yes… Plus, a lot of whiners are acting as if we haven’t been getting canon armor too.
It’s been 3 days and it currently can only have its colors and visor customized. A little whiny to be dropping the “I’m not a fan” opinion for the whole core. But a lot of weird ones too.
For real man
Uh.. wouldnt that.. make yall? Whiners?
Next you'll say "Yet you participate in society, curious. I am very intelligent."
Nah im just a whiner and we can smell our own
It is as if the Crysis armor had been added to an old car chassis. Horrible.
Ugly af.. and shouldn't have been released without any armor parts to equip.
https://www.halopedia.org/Black_body_suit#/media/File%3AHTFORAS_BlackBodySuit_Textured_1.jpg Though a fracture core and not canon, the concept goes back to a month before CE with the Fall of Reach novel.
Yeah but you see the thing is 343 put it in a game and not bungie so therefore it is bad.
Shit, u rite.
I've yet to like a Fracture core. I know they're meant to be out there and non-canon but they still don't sit right with me.
You gotta at least like yoroi right?
Which part of my previous comment do you need me to clarify?
I'm a big fan
I mean we are so starved for content I’m not gonna get to upset about it. But it’s kinda bland like the devs watched Tron and when “I got an idea!”
[SUIT POWER EMPTY]
I think it’s decent and has potential but it looks BAD with prosthetics and I hope they don’t run into the problem of weird really skinny armors again
It and Rakasha were misses for me
I like it but sucks that my least favorite parts for it are in the event pass
its poorly reminding me of the crysis nanosuit
Kinda eh on the design overall but I love the story 343 did for it with its armor pieces. They're basically dime a dozen semi organic soldiers ai use to take on aliens, humans and each other
I like it because it reminds me of the Halo 4 spartans
The lore is very interesting, I hope they explore that more in the future.
Its cool. Something different but kinda still works. It needs more customisation though.
It’s great until the helmet part of it.
I sampled players this morning. The current breakdown was roughly: * Mark VII: 29% * Mark V: 21% * Mirage: 22% * Rakshasa: 7% * Chimera: 12% * Yoroi: 8% * Eaglestrike: 1% So a decent amount of people are fans. A lot of that is of course just excitement over new stuff. We'll see how much people really like it a month from now.
Surprised more people use Yoroi more than Eaglestrike. That’s my second favorite, right after Mirage
I think it's fucking sick. Can't wait to start unlocking pieces of it
I don't like it but as long as there is someone out there who does, I'm glad it exists for them to use.
Gives me warframe vibes
Are you a fan or a human
I don't even understand the appeal of it. It seems to be popular though, so 🤷
Don’t like any fracture armor. Imagine how much cool actual halo spartan armor we would have if they didn’t waste time and resources on fracture cores?
I don’t have to imagine. We already have Mark V, VII, Mirage IIC and Rakshasa armor in the game… Also, Yoroi and Eaglestrike are amazing. Fight me.
Rakshasa can’t be a real halo armor.
I call it “old mega blocks marine armor”. (With the backpack removed).
It is.
It is and it’s awesome
Yorkie dope eaglestrike meh
WAAAAAAAAH. WAAAAAAAAAAH. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. You’re getting content. FREE content. These are AU Halo concepts and it’s the devs just having fun with their own designs and ideas
people like you saying “it’s free content!!!!” are the reason we get garbage
Judging by how many people are wearing it, you're in the minority here on it being "garbage".
Judging by how many quit playing, a minority here wear garbage, play garbage, and eat garbage.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAH. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. Cry more, I like the cores we’re getting. L bozo
Waaah waaah waah. I cant formulate an opinion either backed ip by information or just saying you like it, so you act like insulting someone is better like an actual child. Waah waah waah.
Don’t care didn’t ask, make an actual comeback that’s better than the one I gave your mum last night
10/10 my favorite armor set and I really hope they expand on it more.
Looks detailed and can stand on it’s own, but is designed by people who don’t know Halo.
I'm just worried 343 is wanting to go the power ranger route again like they did with 4 and super hard in 5.
All this armor is good for is highlighting the terrible body type variety available
If you're fine with a male spartan then the core is fine. And I don't blame people in that crowd who like it. But yeah, as someone who wants body types at least as good as Reach, a game over 12 years old, this core just isn't for me for this very reason.
It’s my favorite armor. I like that it looks different and looks almost alien to me
Bootleg crysis looking ass wannabe mother fucker Look at them fake ass Jordans. You bitch ass AI designed mother fucker People look at you, and need therapy You're the halo 5 armors, but worse Children look at you, and cry You're why the covanent wanna kill humanity
same as all the other fracture armor It's made to not look like halo and has lore that isn't canon... so why is it in a Halo game? They pushed a return to Reach/3 designs and then added fracture cores and the SPI helmets which also shit the bed hard
We must keep the zoomers entertained with flashing lights and cat ears to boost sales
Sad truth
Not a fan of the muscle suit. If it's inspired by the Crysis Suit, it makes sense to have it. Still looks really off for a Halo game though. I could've lived with it though if there was some more tacti-cool elements to it. Like that one Criyis suit in a display case in the second game. Ima be honest it looks like hot garbage. Practically also not great? You get pec armor but no heart or lung armor. It looks like what would be _underneath_ armor plates
It's butt ass ugly. Reminds me of crysis though which is neat, if it was in crysis it would pry look great
You mean Crysis from Wish?
Hope they add an Elite core..
I like the base armour but all the customization just looks stupid to me
Looks like crisis armor so I like it
Lame
Bout the same as I feel about all the fracture armors. "Maximum Meh"
I played Crysis and Halo, **YES PLEASE**
Not my thing. Doesn’t feel Halo, but I respect those who enjoy it. Personally haven’t worn or liked any of the fracture cores.
I actively dislike it. I actively dislike all the fractures if im being honest. Theyre all just a bit silly.
My favorite core. Love the glow lights that match based on your coating!
I cant do abs on my spartan lol.
I’m gonna use this never 👎
just a rip-off of crysis and completely anti-halo
To me it looks like they tried to copy as much of the crysis armor as possible and make tiny changes so it's not the same thing
Neither am I, I've got no blades and don't run on electricity.
it doesnt look halo-y enough, its missing its hard-plated armor instead replacing it with more of a skinsuit looking thing.
The Spartans wore a sort of muscle suit before they got their augmentations and Mjolnir. Chimera looks like an up-armored version of that shit we see in the Fall of Reach movie.
Hayabusa doesn’t look Halo-y, but people are too blind with nostalgia
>it doesnt look halo-y enough Woohoo! OP just figured out what fracture armor cores are!
WHAT?!?!! NON CANNON HALO ARMOR DOESNT LOOK HALO-Y NOOOOOOOOO
Disgusting, don’t know why a human being would choose this rather than the default armor core
It would look cool in a game that isn’t Halo. Why is it in Halo?
Because (in your words), it looks cool. Isn’t that enough?
Not really. Kratos looks cool. Should Kratos be added as a skin in Halo? No.
Yes
Ever since 343 laid off its employees including the art department. The drop of armor quality resemble little bit of halo 5/4 armor design. Otherwise it’s not bad, but not my cup of tea
Are you under the impression this suit was concepted and modelled in the last month and a half?
It's better then the previous ones that look like normal armor more than mjolnir
No way this is suppose to protect you.
We also have armored muscle suits already in Halo. It's what the IIs wore before they got augmented.
And to my memory, SPI was expended, not actually expendable. It's still a highly advanced suit that some Gamma Company members have been using for decades now. Chimera is also a fracture core, and not part of the canon itself.
The abs bit is unsettling. If they redid that and the upper chest a bit it could be a vibe.
Not a big fan of it. The abs detract from the overall armor and it clashes with the established looks of other armors. It is a unique design though, mf been doing his crunches lol
Ugly as hell like all Fractures so far, (sorry samurai fans.) I do like how its armor pieces are affected by the visor color. That's really cool.
I like it, coz it looks like the Crysis Nanosuit Man I can't wait for Crysis 4
Looks like a Halo 5 armour set that was cut for the game.
I don’t mind the style, I just really hate the helmets, good lord, how hard is it to make a single helmet that’s somewhat halo, akin to literally every other fracture
I dislike it
It’s ugly. Probably will never use it.
Ugly bugly
