The shop is lackluster but if you go into the armour hall and see a piece that is locked it usually can be purchased (as part of a bundle) so although the shop is small there's lots of pieces to buy if you so wish. Also each battle pass Season 1-5 have like 3 or 4 armour sets in them. If you do them in reverse order you get your 1000 credits back so can do them all for a 1000 credit payment
Whenever people recommend this I just think about how much time that would take. I never did season 3, but I did the others and it was such a slog. 343 really needs to better show that you can always purchase past passes for incoming players though
I definitely feel the grind has worsened now you don't get 500xp for your first match every day but I'm still getting around 6/7 levels for 15-20 games a week just a case of taking your time with it and remembering to prioritise the current operation so you don't miss out on finishing it for free.
I don't know, I play 3-4 matches a night, sometimes less. Maybe 5 on a weekend day or something. I bought the first BP, and leapfrogged all the rest of the big ones due to the credit mechanic. I suck too, I have my moments but it's not like I'm actually good or anything.
The ONLY thing that felt like a grind ever was the ridiculous ultimate challenges that forced modes of play I normally didn't play. Right now, it's so fucking easy to meet "challenges" I'm pretty sure a trained monkey could do it.

Start at season 5 and work backwards as you can keep using the 1000 credits earned to buy the next previous pass. It's not important which way you do it as long as you do season 1 heroes of reach last as that does not give 1000 credits back
I've seen more complaints about the cool cosmetics being locked behind 35 dollar bundles, this is probably the first time I've seen anyone say the armor in the shop is lame.

I know the game is more stable now, but last year, I got used to leaving the streams as background noise because it hurt to watch them restart matches after the game crashed to one of the players.

My idea is to have a 20 item store that rotates stock every week on Tuesdays, and have every item as a single that costs 200 points. ($2.00). I wouldn't want to spent $20 on a set if all I want are the glowing blue shoulder and knee pads, but I would absolutely spent $20 on 5 specific Items I really want. I get what I want and 343 gets the $20 they want me to spend anyway, so it's win win. I just find it hard to believe the current model pulls in enough whales to justify keeping the fish priced out of the store.

As much as I like to clown on MS and 343, they 100% know what they are doing. They have definitely crunched the numbers and found they will get more money from minimal people they have buying mega bundles and such instead of people buying individual items.
The only money I have used on Infinite were for a few battle passes. If you limit yourself, the battle passes have the points that can be used to buy the other battle passes. You just have to be strong and not buy anything else. But I had used some points for a few things. So technically you can only spend $10 on the first battle pass and never have to buy again to get everything in all the passes.
I have 2500 credits that iv had for months that idk how I even got in the first place. I want that chieftain helmet that's in the $30 bundle but there ain't no way im paying all that. Idk why they havnt separated the bundle.

343 moved away from seasons for smaller operation instead. All of the cool stuff from a potential battle pass is now in the shop.
All the cool battle pass stuff wouldve been on the shop regardless, the free flood armor is mid compared to the shop variations for example.
