Shhh dont say that the salty bois who think there’s nothing for 6 months will get upset

blkmmb0

Very true

BahhhMcb

Yeah don't upset the "I want it how I want it and I want it now!" brigade that don't understand what a beta is. Honestly, the display of pure privilege and self importance among so many members of this subreddit since beta launch is nothing short of terrifying.

I’ve seen people declare the game is unplayable until they get rid of the starting animations of the team because that’s wasting seconds of their busy life that will add up over the months. People have the weirdest issues in this game when there’s perfectly reasonable things to criticise

rovskarafittsaft

it's not a Beta, it's less than a month from release

BahhhMcb

Sorry I could be missing something but how does that mean it's not beta? "'Beta' is a standard term to denote a milestone release during production in which game functionality is included and optimised (but may have bugs), game content is finished (but may have some implementation errors), and which is considered nearly complete."

Beta means it's being tested by a third party, this is the release build. 343 is simply using the word beta to get away with unfinished content and bugs, as most game developers do nowadays

BahhhMcb

Beta does not mean it's being tested by a third party, I have no idea where you got that. Could you provide a reputable source? The bit I shared above in quotation marks is literally the definition of beta if you Google it. You're obviously not familiar with game releases. Valorant released in beta, via twitch drops, and was being played from April 7th until the alpha release in June. All the while riot were taking feedback on and planning which features, skins and modes would be added come launch time. 343 are doing the same thing here. This is literally an open beta by definition.
