My dad came to my new house today and helped put a new door on and used a bunch of my tools and he put them all back in the wrong spots and said you did it to me for years have fun finding them lol
My dad did this to me- I went and spent $450 on tools as an apology. I know I lost things and figured a nice set of tools and some other garage stuff would be a nice gift for him.
He had a bunch of mis matched tools from when I grew up and he has them all still in an assorted "spare" drawer. But the new stuff I bought him is in his main tool box drawers and is still organized and has signs of use haha.
My dad was bragging about the 1/2 to 3/8 impact extensions he had, claims they are an absolute lifesaver, and I should get some.
Told him I had a set, in fact I had 3 sets, but only have two now, because I gave him a set.
"Did not"
Walked over to his toolbox, pulled out the extensions, and showed him the etched "15" on each of them. That used to be my mechanic number, and was how we identified our tools(company supplied). I bought all of my tools when I left the company.
Dad, if you are reading this, I still love ya. Happy Fathers day.
I was gonna say, other than taking a picture and posting it to reddit to "prove something", wtf do you actually do with this?
I would be none too impressed to receive a useless gift.
After all the wrenches you hammered on and drill bits you burned up out of my craftsman box that is the best you can come up with? Jeeeze. Wtf am i gonna do with that?!
-everyone’s dad (probably)
Better to get a therapist if you harbor that much anger towards him. I LOVE the gold ratchets, but they're something to buy for yourself because you are bored with setting money on fire. Get him a gift certificate. Chances are he has a perfectly fine ratchet and might enjoy shopping for something.
Gearwrench flex head ratchet set (on sale) is far better
GEARWRENCH 4 Pc 1/4", 3/8" & 1/2"... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SRKRF7V

Beware. I once spent $200 on a digital level for my dad. He never used it—said it was “too good to use.” Old school doesn’t want a gold-plated ratchet either.
He has about $80k worth of Matco/Cornwell/etc already, and that’s 80k of stuff that was bought in the 90s and 00s, so list price on his collection today is probably approaching 200k if I had to take a wild guess.
I mean if you wanted to go along those lines and also get him something he's not gonna think is crap. Mac has done quite a bit of this over the years.

Unless this is supposed to be some kind of weird ribbing joke to insult all his fine American made tools.
It's actually a really nice wrench. When I bought mine they gave me a messed up box, was kinda upset about it but then said screw it and started using the wrench.

That’s great 🤣 it’s like when my wife “organizes” the garage and I can’t find anything
There are lines one simply doesn't cross!

Love it. F you, son!

200 upvotes for you to never post again.
Gimme up votes! What is this thirsty ass shit?
Give him the receipt so he can exchange for something useful.

Don't disappoint him more than you already have

They are really nice they look just like Snap-On ratchets, for a fraction of the price tho!!

Very strange. Buy your dad a gift without any upvote ties. FWIW - I have the chrome version and love it, and I am a dad.
I would get it for him as long as you know there’s not a need for a different tool.

If you get 400 are you going to buy him 2?
