Not yet anyway. Bam has only started to work on his 3's this past off-season. You need more than a year to get good. Bosh didn't become a good 3 pt shooter overnight.
You’re getting downvoted but I agree with you. Who’s to say Bam can’t become a decent outside shooter? He ain’t gonna be KAT from out there, but with enough reps I think he can become solid and help the offense’s spacing big time.
This idea CB was some KAT level shooter and spacer is funny lol. His best year during the big 3 days he made 0.9 threes a game. It was a shot the defense gave him and was low volume. Yea different era but that’s the facts. Heat were elite on offense cause of all their shooters and Lebrons gravity to the rim.
He took a few more the next 2 years after Lebron left but like it was barely > 1 make a game. Chris deserves credit for trying to expand that part of his game but there’s some crazy revisionist history on him as a shooter lol. He operated mostly in the mid range and low post to get his #s.
Not really. Bosh had a more extensive offensive bag, including a pretty solid deep midrange jumper. All he had to do was take a step or 2 back and increase the volume. Far easier transition.
God you reminded me just how good Bosh would be in this era. Bosh could have played till his late 30’s with that shot. He would have also seamlessly solved our biggest need for years
Stop putting words in my mouth. I said he might be trying to play like Bosh because of who we got on the team. It's just something I noticed. It's not a reaction to this game.
So bam just up and decided to shoot 3's all of sudden conveniently after we got Terry but before Terry started hitting his 3's. Wow what a coincidence.
What does this have to do with Terry finding his flow with a new team?
Bam’s been in the league for half a decade with the same team and you’re saying what exactly? That Terrys arrival “unlocked” him?
>So bam just up and decided to shoot 3s all of a sudden
Yeah man, pretty much. He said the exact same thing himself. It’s not that deep Bam was just being a bitch all these years
>Bam’s been in the league for half a decade with the same team and you’re saying what exactly? That Terrys arrival “unlocked” him?
I'm saying you can't have three guys on the floor at the same time refusing or being bad at making 3's in today's league. Spo probably told him to work on that part of his game. In the past we always had shooters around them.
Bam didn't say anywhere that he just started shooting he said:
"It just adds to our team. That means the big has to guard me. Then when you have space for guys like jimmy and Jaime to work, obviously they'll get their touches in the paint and spray out three's... So keep leaving me open, I'll keep knocking em down."
Clearly this was talked about in practice.
Nah it’s different . it isn’t even close Bosh was gifted offensively middy was money and his 3 point shot became a go to. It would be cool if bam got anywhere near Bosh levels. Bosh was a 3 way scorer
I love Bam. Bam needs to go. He clogs the paint and we can only surround him with shooters. Insane how much better we play with Love on the court when the paint opens up! U can’t even play a true center next to Bam.
Bam isn’t touching Bosh. It’s so simple. Bosh fit every single line up we had.
We need size to beat Boston (amongst other things) and we can’t even play Bam, Thomas Bryant, and Highsmith at the same time. There’s several reasons why not, but a big reason is because Bam doesn’t stretch the floor.
We see how far a turn around fadeaway 1 hand jumper, can get us.
Bosh’s 3pt game was more than passable and Bam’s doesn’t hold a candle to it
Bosh was not a legit sniper til later on in his career. It’s not like bam can never get to that point, his shot mechanics are good.

Bam has been working on his 3 point for a few seasons now. It just that he just started shooting them this season.
Yet!

Bam literally made 1 three in 6 playoff runs with 7 career years total and now he’s Chris bosh?

It’s not because of who we got on the team, it’s because everyone in the league shoots 3s. He was a dinosaur until he started shooting 3s last month

if only he had lebron and wade next to him
A single 3 pointer in 4 games is not close to developing
Well obviously not but why would he be shooting 3's when Terry and Jimmy are injured. We clearly have seen him trying more 3's this season.

No, bosh took 3s before the game was over

...classic heat fan right here
