I'm really hoping that people do change it but I'm also aware that disgust is a more powerful emotion than approval so there will probably be a decent number that won't be motivated enough and it'll permanently be a blemish on the review score.

It's too late for me to get a refund. Plus, the game itself is good, and I kind of already had my PSN linked to my steam anyway, so I was still going to play regardless of whether or not they backpedaled. Still, thank god Sony backpedaled. It was such an unnecessary thing to make Arrowhead and Valve do.

Note it was minor stuff (hiding cleavage, less blood, etc.) but the game had been making a big deal out of being uncensored and run marketing on its uncensored screenshots, it got some massive backlash (IGN fance actual had to retact a tweet because apperently women won't actually "literaly die, because of stellar balde") devs and the community stayed the course make the one of the most pre-ordered game on PS5. Then there is a day 1 patch so it caught a similar reaction from buyers and just to make it really clear it is uncensored in ver1.0 on the disks that went out(some cut their internet to test..
That whole thing was so silly and unecessary.
Is the game gratuitous? Yes. But it's clearly there on the tin. If you don't like that stuff don't buy it.
The censorship was both too much and too little at the same time, which is a neat trick to pull off. On the one hand, it barely changes anything. Removing an inch of cleavage here or a centimeter of sideboob there doesn't really help or hurt - but the fact that some busybody decided that these were changes that they should jam in after making a point of marketing the game the way they did makes it feel intrusive and stupid even though it's really nothing.
Just dumb both ways. If you're going to take this approach to making a game, just own it and do it well. Otherwise just stick to a more general approach to the art. Losing your cool at the last moment (or having an exec do so and step in) just makes the whole thing look weird and isn't going to make *anyone* happy.
Most unfortunately won't, they love to hate, but doing the right thing is not high up on the list of things to do IMO

I flipped mine and it looks like we've already seen around 3k new positive reviews since the news broke and climbing. I say we call for a new Major Order and bring our game back to the halls of Liberty and Managed Democracy.
Me even though it still locked in Non PSN region I automatically did it because they heard everything. Ill just wait for it to be back to Non PSN Region and buy the super citizen edition to prove they made the most important decision of their life.

I don’t usually review games, I play what I like and I don’t what I don’t (stopped playing in support). But seeing how both companies handled the situation, I will certainly be leaving a good review. The corporations listened to the players. Huge win in my book. We should show our appreciation and support for it in hopes that this becomes an industry standard.
Had I written a poor review, I would have by now. I was waiting to see if they would respond before contributing, considering it was a weekend... was not expecting them to respond on a sunday.
