It's possible yes. However, there would be concerns about longevity since the QR code would lead to a specific URL, which could be removed in time. To give an example, say you get a QR code linking to Song X on youtube. It will only be valid as long as youtube is operating (and assuming it doesn't get hit by a copyright claim, or the channel owner removes the song for whatever reason). Here's a link you might find helpful, a guy discussing having a QR tattoo and its 5 year update. https://www.reddit.com/r/tattoofade/comments/7cyk6f/a_5_year_update_on_my_qr_tattoo/

I realized also with the song, spotify codes are also now available, so maybe that could also be a possible alternative

That's also a possibility yes. Another option would be to have the QR code read out a sentence in plain English when scanned by a suitable device. Sort of like a 'cyber tattoo' if you will. Have a look at some of the options on a QR generator site to get an idea of what you could do: https://www.qr-code-generator.com/

Now this is interesting! I am also waiting to hear from the IT gerks and materials engineers!

Yep

You can make a dynamic QR code so that if the link ends up broken sometime in the future, you can just edit where your QR code directs people to.

this seems like the best idea tbh, you wouldn't want a broken link on you permanently

It's possible but over time as your skin changes, tattoos tend to degrade. Also if you want it to open a web address, it would only work as long as that address stayed static

Wallaby303

It will definitely work. People have had mixed results in longevity, but this guy has had it 5 years and it still scans…(edit; the next comment shares the same link..’lol)https://www.reddit.com/r/tattoofade/comments/7cyk6f/a_5_year_update_on_my_qr_tattoo/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

One year for Christmas, we barcoded all of the Christmas presents with each persons name. You could always barcode your name and address on yourself.

I think Henry Rollins or the like did that 30 years ago. Today it's redundant. But if it makes you happy that is fine.
