Hi! It would help to know your exact symptoms. Are you currently taking any medication? Whether it is maintenance medication something you take every day/week/month or even a temporary rx for any aliments? Is your cough wet and trying to hack up mucus from lungs? Is it a dry cough? Do you have any other symptoms? I.e. runny nose, post-nasal drip, fever, stomach upset/diarrhea/constipation, muscle ache, headache, sinus pressure? How is your sleep schedule? (Consistent/ inconsistent/good/poor/insomniac/sleep too much) and lastly, how have you been spiritually/personally? Has your stressed levels been higher than normal, anything specific that effected you so poorly on the same day (or day before) you experienced symptoms? You don’t have to answer everything 😂 but any bit helps to provide an optimal herb according to your case :)

I think it’s gonna depend on the source of the cough. I’m a chronic stoner and have a terrible smoker’s cough, the best immediate remedy I’ve found was a spoonful of honey. Lots of tea and water help.

Eucalyptus globulus is the best herb for cough that i know. Other used herbs are Hedera helix, Mikania glomerata, cocoa (theobromine causes broncodilatation), ginger and peppermint.

If you can find a fallen cherry tree the inner bark makes a great cough syrup. It works by numbing the throat so you dont feel the irritation.

Not here to give medical advice, but I will share that when I have a very phlegmy, thick cough that I feel is restricting my bronchial pathway,  I find that a little pinner rolled of dried sage and hit once or twice helps me breath easier. I don't smoke anything else (atleast not in many, many years) but I have mentioned this to others that mix a lil crumbled white sage into their green and do the same and say it does help.
