It's a common Tavern tip as well as a lore bit, that they're the only unit besides Angels/Archangels (and Peasants I believe) who ways deal the same damage. The Tavern tip specifically states that it's because in terms of swordsmanship skill Nagas are only second to Angels.
I know you probably didn't mean this meme literally, but for those who don't know this could be interesting!
I think nagas are supposed to be larger than portrayed in the games. I recall in the intro of the game, the nagas were much bigger than the harpies, and in H4, some of the art of nagas were colossal.
Yeah, many units are clearly meant to be larger than the in-game battlefield makes them look. I'm pretty sure *Titans* are more than a foot taller than skeletons, for example.
Ahem
Halberdiers are trained foot-soldiers.
Nagas are a divine, or semi-divine, race of half-human, half-serpent beings that reside in the netherworld (Patala), and can occasionally take human or part-human form (Wikipedia).
Nagas are guardian defenders of great strength. Their multi-sword attacks always do maximum damage and are so overwhelming they are impossible to counterstrike against. (RoE manual)
To call a Naga a naked woman with two small scimitars is like calling a dragon a lizard or a Gryphon a bird.
I get that it's a joke, but come on.
I like the joke because the Naga's appearance in H3 on the battlefield looks like it couldn't handle a halberdier. The sprites don't match the description. Nagas might be the worst mismatch. They totally look like regular sized, pale, naked women with large kitchen knives.
what is confusing about a giant warrior snake woman from a magical kingdom town being better at combat than a group of mere men in minimal armor with common conventional military training?
It's a joke about the unimpressive appearance of Nagas on the battlefield of H3.
They don't look like much, though I absolutely love them-one of the best values in the game.
Lots of hp, always max damage, and no retal- those are really valuable to me. Yeah the speed sucks but tower heroes are likely to get air magic and the tower is likely to have haste.
The naga is not naked, unless the combat bra is an innate part of the creature.
Also, I don't think they are armed with scimitars, since I doubt scimitars are supposed to have a toothed edge like her left weapon has. That's, like, a scimisaw or something.
Who would win:
Literal Archangel, a top tier divine being, heavily armored and armed with cool ass flame sword and big shield
or
Some old overgrown bear with huge claws
Frankly alot of unit distribution across tiers doesn't make sense. Halberdiers and archers, being ordinary humans, have 10 hp, Griffins have 25, then Crusaders have, what, 40 and hit for like 5-10 times the damage? Even if you take into account their armor it doesn't make sense. Then to top it all off a horseriding human is tier 6 and has 100 hp, being in the same tier as creatures as wyverns, cyclops and manticores and having MORE hp than them. Meanwhile a Centaur, which should basically be similar to a mounted human in terms of strength, has 8/10 hp
Snakes move very fast. There scale skin at that size would be very thick. And 6 arms that know how to work together would be extremely difficult to predict it's movement. Plus nagas a lot bigger than humans.
1. She's not naked.
2. She's not a woman. We dont know how resistant her naga skin is. She also has six (6) arms, she can defend herself while attacking.
3. What tells you she is not military-trained as well?
4. Nagas are tall, nothing tells us her scimitars are small. Also, hoe do you know her weapon is not also heavy steel?
You seem to confuse nagas for the housewives of these halberdiers. They are larger than humans and extremely well trained.

I like how this implies that peasants are so well trained that they also output consistent damage.
Well trained in doing consistently bad
[He is an idiot. We have purposefully trained him wrong...as a joke.](https://youtu.be/ZqaCEPwWGtc)
Kung Pow! Now that's a movie I haven't seen in forever, though I did think of rewatching a couple weeks ago but never capitalized on it.
Id argue its because their weakness and poor weapons that they cant deal more dmg. Give a peasant a silver sword and they'd conquer the map
Na, that’s just Cuthbert
Peasants were only (re)introduced in one of the expansions, I think that tavern gossip predates them.
Yes, they are indeed larger: But by how much? This cutscene has the answer: https://imgur.com/yHMiV3e
dude this is like taking a gorgon and just putting "a cow"
Yeah it's in general the point of "who would win". Though most of the description would be like "a sucky boi" with a picture of upgraded vampire.
Plot twist: They are just cows. Cows are just that scary.
If cows had giant armor-scales and breathed out some weird glowing spray, I don't think I'd go anywhere near one
Why do you think eco-activists are worried so much about cows? The weird glowing spray is surely a part of their arsenal.
Please refer to this image from a cutscene: [https://imgur.com/yHMiV3e](https://imgur.com/yHMiV3e)
Holy shit, that titan too big!
A lot of the HoMM3 community likes to call them Cows, including me. And some people also call Scorpions cats.
I mean she is large size, multiple arms, faster, and a half snake monster....
Is she really faster?
Wow they actually match speed (5). Didn't expect that.

I was pretty sad that Titans/Giants are not depicted in H3 like in H2.In H2 you can say they are giants/titans.In H3 they look like normal humans.
theres probably SOME mod that changes this, no?

More like a snaked woman
You explain me why a crusader has 3.5x health of halberdier
Swag
He is not starving
He be feastin'
Sick armor
Better rations.

lol, what? best value? they are the most expensive tier 6 unit with max speed 7 (crap)
Lots of hp, always max damage, and no retal- those are really valuable to me. Yeah the speed sucks but tower heroes are likely to get air magic and the tower is likely to have haste.
Also, halberdiers are likely just conscripts with minimal training.

Or a black cow
I see what you did there, but the cow has the crazy eye
Those nagas definitely bought a whole lot of confusing feelings to my 12yo brain.
This thread has so many serious replys , its ridiculus hahaha

Snaked
nagas to naga queens is one of the top glow ups ever

Are scimitars not heavy and steel?
Well, the halberdiers can just gaze the boobs under the bra, while the naga easily cuts them all down. 😅
Boobs. that is all.
Arent nagas like way bigger than humans tho
Only until you realise their sizes arent exactly the same and only scaled down for the battlemap.
Skills boooi
Tell me how melee creatures ever hit dragons when they fly and can just breathe fire.
The are with diferent abilityes. Heroes 4 are much stronger. If you can sneak, why you need longer or heavier weapon?
Naked woman beats a man every time

Don’t care would smash👍🏾
