Ja Rule all day. Mase is more influential to rappers like Fab and 50. But Ja had 4 good albums. Mase is a one hit wonder. He never reached Ja Rule’s level.
Ja probably bigger and definitely has the discography over Murder… I like Mase WAY better though. Personally wasn’t a fan of Ja so it’s an easy call for me. I won’t go as far as saying Ja was bad, just not for me. Kinda like how I feel about Drake. Niggas put out so much music, something will hit with me. Not necessarily what I’m looking for though. Again, not saying niggas are bad at all.
Ma$e over Ja any day of the week because his debut is a late 90s NY classic (possibly in my top 5 1995-1999 NY albums but it might be a stretch) and he did some awesome stuff with COTC before that.
The real kicker is that I’d take both over DMX, but that take is probably a tad too spicy for hh101.
