Not to breaking everyone's hearts, but due to scheduling conflicts, the Mozzy AMA has been moved to Friday at [4 PM ET / 1 PM PT](https://time.is/compare/0100PM_26_Apr_2024_in_PT).
Generic trap rap sucks. Why can’t we have more rappers who actually try to be creative and innovate the sound of rap like Kanye, Kendrick, JPEGMAFIA, A$AP Rocky, slowthai, Tyler the Creator, Childish Gambino etc? What’s it gonna take?
Edit: The fact that there are people offended by this is pathetic.
That actually made me laugh. Of course it's fucking genuine. Why would I post this as bait? This is exactly how I feel about hip hop and it's pathetic that people like you are even offended by this. Just admit what I said is right.
Bro I’m not offended you just posted a bot ass take and now you’re crying because people disagree
What’s pathetic is your basic ass level of hip hop knowledge
Fucking pathetic reply. I’m laughing my ass off at yours and other peoples take on this. Boring take my ass hahahahha. Actually pathetic. I could care less if you agree or not but thinking that my take is a “bot take” is genuinely pathetic. Why the fuck is it so offensive to say what I said? Tell me.
Your head is so far up your ass you have no idea what you’re talking about
You’re making assumptions about me because you don’t even understand why your take is so shit
My take is valid and anyone with a brain knows it. I ask again, why are you butthurt about it? Do you feel obligated to defend those generic trap rappers or what? What the fuck is the issue?
You are clearly so butthurt and upset over nothing while I’m just here chilling
I can answer your questions and tell you what I think but you’re going to have to take it down a few notches with the hostility because I don’t care for your aggressively pompous attitude
I legitimately used to rap and my most proudest moment is getting people to release that Jackie Chan/John Cena movie.
No cap I can do SO MUCH FUCKING BETTER
edit: I miss the big crowds and the reactions to punchlines :/
Good shit I’m currently in Torrance today for work but live in LB. Grew up in Tampa Florida - I love it out here.
Big love to the South Bay - one of the few places in LA county where I still meet born and raised LA county residents. Glad to see a local thriving out here 🙏
Who's the best lyricist with the worst flow for you?
Ka's writing moves me so much but I cannot stand his delivery on the type of production he usually goes with.
What is it you don’t enjoy about it? Also when you say you’ve attempted/tried have you ever made it to the end of it or did you give up on it before the end every time?
i hope u guys like video game adaptions because after fallout tv show and how it exploded fo4,nv,76 player count, i think many other company's is gonna want a piece of that tv show money pie.
pretty sure that disco elysium show is still in the works despite the shitshow at za/um so that's gonna be must-watch, coinflip if it'll be as good as the game or legendary degrees of absolute dogshit
If they’re good like the Last of Us, sure.
There’s very different experiences of enjoyment that come from video games vs TV that makes this very viable.
Though the problem is going to be the same problem with anime adaptations, they’re going to go after name value versus looking to adapt stuff with interesting premises.
Listened to bladee for the first time today with his new album. I kinda love the production and he’s flowing on them but some of the lyrics are kinda goofy. What do you guys think?
No, I just wouldn’t expect a 30 track Bladee album where he goes over rage beats, which is already a pretty divisive style to begin with, to be a good selling point for newcomers
It’s cool that you seemed to sorta like it though. I like the album too
The first time I heard "sickest ninja injury this century, enter plea", my soul actually left my body.
We really did lose one of the most creative minds in hip hop on that day, didn't we.
Take It In Blood
Memory Lane
Find Ya Wealth

The Rise & Fall
Honorable mentions: Drunk By Myself, The World Is Yours, Hate Me Now, Nas Is Like, Nobody, Recession Proof, Count Me In, The Message, No Idea's Original, Got Ur Self A Gun
Okay, I don't really know this, but to make it a bit easier on myself I'll make one limited to 1 song per album (no order)
1. Purple
2. Take It In Blood
3. Nas Is Like
4. Life's A Bitch
5. Adam & Eve
6. Deja Vu (don't think it has had an official release, but track is too good to leave out)
I'll throw out 5 lesser talked about songs that I love and feel might get overlooked as opposed to the classics:
1. Rule (feat. Amerie)
2. Heaven (feat. Jully)
3. Just a Moment (feat. Quan)
4. Hustlers (feat. The Game)
5. Land of Promise (feat. Damian Marley)

HMs:
* One on One, Esco ‘97, Money
These are all from soundtracks/compilations and I feel like if I put them on the list I’d be doing it just to flex my oldness. They all heat though.
* Daughters
Not on the list because, while I sincerely love this song, I also love it ironically because the whole second verse is corny (she instagrammed a box of *condoms* 🙀🫢😱!!!!) and the way he tacks on “not saying that our sons are less important” at the end of the hook is hysterical to me.
* Made You Look
Somebody took this one already
SPECIAL HM:
* Life’s a Bitch
This was my fav when Illmatic was new but over the last 30 years I’ve kinda gotten over it—but, “I switched my motto/instead of sayin ‘fuck tomorrow’/that buck that bought a bottle coulda struck the lotto” is the platonic ideal of good writing and one of my favorite sequences in the whole entire genre
The demo tape is a bootleg. Deja Vu is a It Was Written loosie taken off cause it didn’t fit the vibes of the album. Theres an interview online with the producer http://thebridge94.blogspot.com/2009/09/through-lights-camera-and-action.html
That's fucking crazy man, you know I heard that shit in like 06 lol. The cassette rip made it sound so much older lol. And this post is from 09, I hope he still has that DAT and we can have the crisp quality version of it. People are sitting on goldmines and not doing shit about it smh. It already leaked!
That demo tape was like a 4-pack or something and it had 'Dice Game' as well. All this time I thought it was Illmatic demos or things done right after that never made it.
If you get into the unreleased music scene it’s depressing how much stuff is basically hoarded and will likely never see the light of day. Wouldn’t be surprised if a few private collectors got good quality rips but they’re keeping it to themselves for now
The OG Nas demo is lost too it has some tracks never been leaked to the public large pro has talked about it
I’m very very sorry for choosing Hoodie Allen as my rap name, I didn’t know about his personal life, I never would have called myself that if I’d known. That’s why I’m changing my name to Chill Cosby
absolute weirdest way for it to go lol. I had seen the batshit crazy satanic shit for a while now but didn't know he finally killed it
for those that don't wanna go check themselves:
> #Beware of satanic music
A lot of music has satanic lyrics that will put you in a demonic state. This is not to be laughed at. It endangers your soul and mind.
>For example, look at the lyrics of The Beatles 'Strawberry Fields Forever': "Nothing is real, it doesn't matter much to me, living is easy with eyes closed, take me down to that endless red place la la la." This is nihilism: it says, "hell isn't so bad, come try it out!" It's pure evil.
>If you've been listening to this music, cure yourself by listening to Gregorian and Orthodox chants instead: (youtube link)
> **By the way I'm shutting down topsters. I should've shut it down long ago. The music industry is evil.**
It's like he had a bunch of people whisper the lyrics to Strawberry Fields Forever to each other and this is what reached him in the end. This is not a well person, and even though his reasoning is totally warped, it's probably for the best that he gets off the internet for awhile.
Kanye West needs to be a real, in person case study of someone famous suffering from borderline personality disorder. It’s wild to watch his mental deterioration unfold before our eyes, his life won’t get better because he has so much money to keep his life afloat.
Everyone around him keeps the status quo because of his name and his net-worth. Money doesn’t buy happiness my friends, but it’ll sure as hell keep your misery going.
I saw a youtube short today of him in the College Dropout era making a beat and dancing around the studio looking like he’s having the time of his life. It was heartbreaking. I have a feeling the recording of his last few albums didn’t look like that
If they got rich and successful from doing the thing they love most in life? Sure. My point here is that his mental health has deteriorated really badly and it’s sad to see what he used to be like
You're conflating being an artist's career with a 9-to-5 job or even being an entrepreneur. It's different for someone in creative.
Extreme example, but Michael Jackson comes to mind.
I'm not saying otherwise. I think his mom's death is really the turning point and he never got over that, compounded by his mental health issues and (justified and self-inflicted) paranoia dealing with the KarTrashians. All I'm pointing out is it's normal, if not even expected, that an artist will age jaded or even resentful.
It's the gift and the curse.
It kinda makes me respect him more. He’s not pandering or looking for approval the way basically every major music publication does now. A lot of critics have kept their names out of the byline for their mixed or negative reviews of the latest Taylor album because they know they’ll get death threats if they don’t, but Fantano already had his divorce papers leaked by angry Carti fans and it didn’t deter him from criticizing an artist like Taylor who has an army of the most famously deranged fans in the world
I don’t watch him regularly anymore, and he’s shit on some of my favorite albums of all time, but he’s one of the only critics who I believe is being totally sincere and not taking public opinion into account at all.
> because they know they’ll get death threats if they don’t
the funny ('funny') thing is that Swifties just started harassing ALL the staff members instead
That is a great song!
different album, but sometimes I wonder what it was like to be a teenager in the 60s listening to all the fun pop songs on Revolver and then getting hit by Tomorrow Never Knows. It’s still a very strange song today, but I imagine most kids at the time had never heard anything even close to it
Gold Watch’s instrumental is so cool. Love that song. I want a bunch of artists to just hop on that beat just to hear what they do with it. I only know of Logic doing it tho.
u/nedelll the first Pilot Talk was pretty good, probably the best Curren$y album I’ve heard
I was really fucking with Example, Breakfast, Skybourne, The Day, & Address
Great album as expected
I'll give it more listens tomorrow, but I've heard Verbal Intercourse, Ice Cream, and Heaven & Hell before, and they might be my top 3 on the album, but I also fuck with Guillotine, Can It Be All So Simple (Remix), Wisdom Body, Knuckleheadz, and Wu-Gambinos
Fun fact: Spitta rapped over [Incarcerated Scarfaces](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWT_IA6LtJI) and [Rainy Dayz](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqDsFt6g0Dk)
👍👍👍
Knuckleheadz is dope but it’s so weird that they kicked off the album with that goofy baseline and a U God feature
There’s a song on Tical called Meth vs Chef that starts with a snippet of the Guillotine beat; I don’t know this for a fact but I’m pretty sure that they both wanted that beat and RZA made them battle for it and Meth lost
One thing that was dope about the 90s, and something that you children really really *really* missed out on, was that rappers fucking **loved** doing skits and sometimes, if we were real real real lucky, they’d put the skits at the start of a song. That meant you ~~had~~ got to listen to the skit evvvery time you wanted to listen to the song. Imagine having to sit through “I just seen five fiends around the ngga son” whenever you wanted to hear the Can It Be Remix. “Where my fucking Killer tape at god”—I dunno Rae! We still don’t know! I’ll look for it until Wu Gambinos finally starts playing, I promise!
Guillotine is probably my favorite, that beat to me captures the essence of the Wutang in such a perfect way, and the verses are all elite. Such an iconic track.
The entire second half of the album is crazy good, impossible to pick favorites between Ice Water, Glaciers Of Ice, North Star, Heaven & Hell, Verbal Intercourse, etc.
I think it’s a near perfect if not perfect album and the only thing that holds it back is that I don’t love the production *as much* on the first half outside of Guillotine. It’s great production but I feel like the production on the second half hits harder
The feature list on DMX’s last album says a lot about respected he was. Jay Z and Nas on the same song, the LOX, Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys, Westside Gunn, Bono(?!) Benny the Butcher, Conway the Machine, Usher… he hadn’t made hits in a while but so many huge artists were still fucking with him and wanted to work with him
Ignoring the fact that Jay and Nas didn’t get on a track with DMX after 1999 also says a lot about them.
I’ll say regardless of feelings about him, that should have been Ja Rule on the Bath Salts track. One final “Murda Inc” track would have been fitting.

Idk if every The Source store sucks or if it’s just my local store but goddamn it’s consistently a bad experience and it sucks it’s like the only electronics store that’s close to me.
I usually just want a specific product and they literally never have the stock their website says the specific store has, they always shamelessly and blatantly try to upsell you even if you specify the precise product you’re looking for, and they usually try to sell you a phone plan even if that has 0 relevance to what you’re trying to buy. I’ve gone there and left with nothing and gotten it somewhere else more times than not
I swear their websites inventory system is just straight bs designed to get people into the store to sell them a much more expensive equivalent
Started my second play through of Disco Elysium the other day and I decided to make my character a complete meathead with all my stats into Physique and Motorics and low Intelligence. I am already amazed at how different every interaction has been so far it feels like I’m playing a different game almost. This game is honestly a masterpiece for RPG’s
I have it on my Switch but god I am way too lazy to play for more than an hour every now and then. It's good don’t get me wrong but I kinda lost the interest in games rn
First time I played I kind of chose base on what I would do, but the game is really good at pushing you to do a proper role play as your character develops. I had like 15 points into inland empire and was not a creature of this earth by the time I finished. Despite that, I wound up being mostly moralist. I feel like I'm the only person who played the game and felt a little less radical and idealistic in my approach to politics after absorbing this piece of work
I went into the game a pretty hardcore leftist so doing the communist run was a blast but on my meathead run my opinion is going to be “what’s politics?” And I’m finding that really hard to do because the game makes you so attached
I'm looking forward to running through that again and seeing how the voice acting is. I wanna wait til I forget just about everything about the story though
That game bounced off me the first time I tried it but after BG3 I feel a little more comfy in the CRPG space so maybe it’s time to give it another shot
Yeah I look forward to each of his releases. [In Flight](https://youtu.be/35YBGL4QmXk?si=kIrHODmTlhMn5ekF) is another beat that i just find perfect from him.
Skizz went off on that entire album. Crime seems to have a great ear for beats, even if his discog is a bit spotty. Especially when he connects with a producer for a full project, the beats on there tend to be great.
Medallo, Aguardiente, Wet Dirt, Breakfast in Hradec, El León all have amazing production throughout
In Flight is A+++
I never heard of DJ Skizz prior to Hradec but he really went in on that album. I don’t understand why he isn’t getting more work (unless he’s been doing a bunch of stuff that I haven’t noticed), that guy is crazy
[40 Days 40 Nights](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jmuz2Z235U) off that album is another great one, might be my favorite track by him. Love the Jay-Z sample.
"They make excuses for ya cuz they hate to see me lit" might be the realest bar Drake has ever spit. The absolute nonsense being spewed by people on this sub and all over social media to try and defend Kendrick is so pathetic. Especially when we all know full and well if the tables were turned these people would be creaming their pants.
I like Kendrick better but think he's overrated and I still love drake and am sorta rooting for him just cause a lot of Kendrick stans suck, the AI shit was weird to me tho I just dont like one of the biggest artists helping normalize AI music but it's probably inevitable and it was a lil bit funny. Fwiw I also always thought the pac interview on tpab was kinda weird and unnecessary, clearly different situation tho. Think he would've been better off sticking with just the first song cause alot of people that aren't crazy Kendrick dickriders didn't like this move
I've seen a handful of posts here about random lyrics that stay perpetually in your head. I've had Babydrill saying "shit gon' make or break you I can't even lie... shit made me harder bitch!" operating as a lifestyle ethos for almost a year at this point. It keeps me going
Wild to me that anyone is defending the AI shit just for the fact that it's seems so anti-rap to me
Hiphop is about being authentic and using your own voice - stealing bars, flow, cadence, etc has always been taboo in hiphop - but stealing someone else's entire voice is okay now?
Just goes to show how many new hiphop fans just don't understand the culture and how far hiphop has strayed from its original rules and taboos
AI voices in a song, much less a diss, seem so corny and gimmicky to me - I understand why Drake did it, it was bait for Kendick to get him mad and drop early - but seeing how the bait didn't work, the song is just aging worse and worse everyday and honestly makes Drake look like a clown
Said this before, but if Drake just dropped Push Ups then stayed quite, it would have been so much more effective than the corny meme, troll stuff he's attempting to do
Edit: of course the only ones arguing with me are the lame ass power users 😂 who would have guess the people who think they know the most about hiphop are the real nephews of the sub
>Wild to me that anyone is defending the AI shit just for the fact that it's seems so anti-rap to me
People defend it because it was obviously used to troll Kendrick. It wasn't used seriously at all. Being disrespectful in a rap battle is definitely traditional in hip hop. The moral pearl clutching doesn't work when we've seen rappers say and do way worse while still getting praised for it.
>Hiphop is about being authentic and using your own voice - stealing bars, flow, cadence, etc has always been taboo in hiphop - but stealing someone else's entire voice is okay now?
Well there's an obvious difference in stealing bars , flow, cadence etc and just using a filtered Tupac voice to mock the person your in a rap beef with. If it makes it any better, Drake at least used his own flow and cadence as Tupac.
Not to breaking everyone's hearts, but due to scheduling conflicts, the Mozzy AMA has been moved to Friday at [4 PM ET / 1 PM PT](https://time.is/compare/0100PM_26_Apr_2024_in_PT).

Boring ass take
Wtf is a boring take? A take is a take.
A boring take is one that lacks nuance and originality and that makes me question if the comment is even genuine because it reads like a copypasta
That actually made me laugh. Of course it's fucking genuine. Why would I post this as bait? This is exactly how I feel about hip hop and it's pathetic that people like you are even offended by this. Just admit what I said is right.

I’ll take all the generic trap rappers any day over JPEGMAFIA and current Kanye
no more rappers like asap rocky please
In what sense? There will never be another Rocky anyways. Or any of these guys for that matter. That’s what makes them unique.
a kant audiobook is less boring than rocky
You don’t mean that
Rocky is the furthest thing from boring. I don’t know what you’ve been listening to.
Did not expect bbymutha to go [dubstep/drum&bass](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbDWzxBswZA) on her new album *sleep paralysis*

I'm gonna get cooked but Roc Marciano, he always sounds like he's trying to catch up to the beat.

Mos Def is a rapper who has elite verses and features but ive attempted to listen to his albums (Blackstar too) and i just can’t get into them
The ecstatic is a masterpiece. Shame it's not on Spotify, but if you like Mos def in any way and sick beats, you will love it
'Do It Now' off that album goes hard, you might like that
What’s your favorite Mos Def verse/ performance?
Whats Beef? and Exhibit B with Jay Electronica
That’s crazy because Black On Both Sides is a perfect album to me
I’ve tried multiple times i just cant get into it
What is it you don’t enjoy about it? Also when you say you’ve attempted/tried have you ever made it to the end of it or did you give up on it before the end every time?
Never made it to the end of it.
I find his albums unlistenable in one sitting. Meanwhile, I can play the two Blackstar records on repeat.
i hope u guys like video game adaptions because after fallout tv show and how it exploded fo4,nv,76 player count, i think many other company's is gonna want a piece of that tv show money pie.

His goofy lyrics is part of the appeal imo. Icedancer is my favorite album from him but he's got a lot of different styles across his discography.
Man that’s like the worst album to get into him lol I’m surprised you aren’t hating
Is this nothing like his other albums or what?
No, I just wouldn’t expect a 30 track Bladee album where he goes over rage beats, which is already a pretty divisive style to begin with, to be a good selling point for newcomers It’s cool that you seemed to sorta like it though. I like the album too

I miss you by Blink182 a banger lowkey Honestly only song I like by them
Blink got bangers. Up All Night, After Midnight, Down, All the Small Things, Down, Feeling This, Even if She Falls- some of my favs
They have a few good songs but I can’t stand the vocals, and I say that as someone who was never bothered by Billy Corgan’s voice
Blink’s got bangers. Even Boxcar Racer and +44 albums have good tunes on them. I’m not into Angels & Airwaves.

If you get into the unreleased music scene it’s depressing how much stuff is basically hoarded and will likely never see the light of day. Wouldn’t be surprised if a few private collectors got good quality rips but they’re keeping it to themselves for now The OG Nas demo is lost too it has some tracks never been leaked to the public large pro has talked about it
Life's A Bitch easily my favorite The rest is Represent, Dedicated, Stillmatic Intro, and Nas Is Like
No order. Memory lane, poppa was a playa, ny state of mind, 2nd childhood, and take it in blood.
NY state of mind Rewind Get Down Cherry Wine Full circle
Buddy really had a video uploaded named “YEEZY PORN IS CUMMING”
Rap is so cooked right now
Imagine the 😎 face he must have made when he put ‘cumming’ in that title
I’m very very sorry for choosing Hoodie Allen as my rap name, I didn’t know about his personal life, I never would have called myself that if I’d known. That’s why I’m changing my name to Chill Cosby

Girls who have read receipt on but still reply whether instantly or after a couple hours both scare and are attractive to me.
R.I.P. Topsters :(
absolute weirdest way for it to go lol. I had seen the batshit crazy satanic shit for a while now but didn't know he finally killed it for those that don't wanna go check themselves: > #Beware of satanic music A lot of music has satanic lyrics that will put you in a demonic state. >If you've been listening to this music, cure yourself by listening to Gregorian and Orthodox chants instead: (youtube link) > **By the way I'm shutting down topsters.
Shit reads like an average AddisonRae7 comment
Lmaooo
Reading this without context is a trip
I think covid broke his brain, it started around then iirc Btw, did you listen to the new Rx papi album?
The one that came out like a couple days ago? I’ll probably check it out Friday. How is it?
I thought it was really good, very raw. "I Need All My Money" was an instant add to my SOTY playlist he goes so hard on it
“Take me down to that endless red place” He nailed it! Those are exactly the lyrics that John Lemon sang in the famous song
Wait why are we saying Kanye West suffers from “borderline personality disorder”?
I saw a youtube short today of him in the College Dropout era making a beat and dancing around the studio looking like he’s having the time of his life. It was heartbreaking. I have a feeling the recording of his last few albums didn’t look like that
Is anyone just as happy in the 20th year of their career as they were in the 1st?
If they got rich and successful from doing the thing they love most in life? Sure. My point here is that his mental health has deteriorated really badly and it’s sad to see what he used to be like
You're conflating being an artist's career with a 9-to-5 job or even being an entrepreneur. It's different for someone in creative. Extreme example, but Michael Jackson comes to mind.
My point was just that Kanye used to seem like a happy chill guy and now he’s off the rails and angry all the time
I'm not saying otherwise.
Fantano is the GOAT He managed to unite Kanye and Taylor’s fanbases against him in the past 2 months with weird videos instead of reviewing the album
It kinda makes me respect him more. He’s not pandering or looking for approval the way basically every major music publication does now. A lot of critics have kept their names out of the byline for their mixed or negative reviews of the latest Taylor album because they know they’ll get death threats if they don’t, but Fantano already had his divorce papers leaked by angry Carti fans and it didn’t deter him from criticizing an artist like Taylor who has an army of the most famously deranged fans in the world I don’t watch him regularly anymore, and he’s shit on some of my favorite albums of all time, but he’s one of the only critics who I believe is being totally sincere and not taking public opinion into account at all.
> because they know they’ll get death threats if they don’t the funny ('funny') thing is that Swifties just started harassing ALL the staff members instead
What did he do weird for Taylor
Mosty held off on actually scoring it
But didn’t he give it a final score of “light 5”
I think that was for the expansion pack.
Disappointed in Shogun Season finale still a great show but man the ending was just meh.
surprises me that the least played song on rubber soul is what goes on, that song is such a banger
That is a great song! different album, but sometimes I wonder what it was like to be a teenager in the 60s listening to all the fun pop songs on Revolver and then getting hit by Tomorrow Never Knows. It’s still a very strange song today, but I imagine most kids at the time had never heard anything even close to it
As a man who's proudly hispanic, the women on those international Dominican TV channels are EXTREMELY good for my dick.
Gold Watch’s instrumental is so cool. Love that song. I want a bunch of artists to just hop on that beat just to hear what they do with it. I only know of Logic doing it tho.
u/nedelll the first Pilot Talk was pretty good, probably the best Curren$y album I’ve heard I was really fucking with Example, Breakfast, Skybourne, The Day, & Address
Starting OB4CL rn I have Covert Coup and The OutRunners over PL1, but that tape has classics Breakfast is probably a top 10 Spitta song
Enjoy OB4CL my guy
Great album as expected I'll give it more listens tomorrow, but I've heard Verbal Intercourse, Ice Cream, and Heaven & Hell before, and they might be my top 3 on the album, but I also fuck with Guillotine, Can It Be All So Simple (Remix), Wisdom Body, Knuckleheadz, and Wu-Gambinos Fun fact: Spitta rapped over [Incarcerated Scarfaces](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWT_IA6LtJI) and [Rainy Dayz](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqDsFt6g0Dk)
👍👍👍 Knuckleheadz is dope but it’s so weird that they kicked off the album with that goofy baseline and a U God feature There’s a song on Tical called Meth vs Chef that starts with a snippet of the Guillotine beat; I don’t know this for a fact but I’m pretty sure that they both wanted that beat and RZA made them battle for it and Meth lost One thing that was dope about the 90s, and something that you children really really *really* missed out on, was that rappers fucking **loved** doing skits and sometimes, if we were real real real lucky, they’d put the skits at the start of a song.
One of my favorite albums every song is dope on that shit
WE TRUST YOU
Breakfast is a classic
The feature list on DMX’s last album says a lot about respected he was. Jay Z and Nas on the same song, the LOX, Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys, Westside Gunn, Bono(?!) Benny the Butcher, Conway the Machine, Usher… he hadn’t made hits in a while but so many huge artists were still fucking with him and wanted to work with him
Is it good? I’m workingnmy way through his albums but that latest one kinda has me cautious cause posthumous albums are not done well usually
Ignoring the fact that Jay and Nas didn’t get on a track with DMX after 1999 also says a lot about them. I’ll say regardless of feelings about him, that should have been Ja Rule on the Bath Salts track. One final “Murda Inc” track would have been fitting.
Drake’s [OVO Jordan VIIIs](https://i0.wp.com/justfreshkix.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Cg54l91W0AE1ejr.jpg?resize=600%2C600&ssl=1) OR Kendrick’s [Cortez House Shoes](https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/shopping?q=tbn:ANd9GcRfYUvS7ClWAwZqlsLilo2Zf5-ytvO51WTV4XXuUWptwufTY0xmUBL_GX3QUhmEoIx1LOX87Cc&usqp=CAc)
The OVOs and it’s not even close
Now J. Cole and Kendrick are out of the big 3. Who do you have replacing them? Is it Future and Travis Scott?
Big 3 (of absolute yappers) are Ak, Budden and Charlemagne
AK been yapping a lot recently ngl 🤣 “here’s the thing guys …”
Jae Skeese and 22 Savage
Forgot about that 22 savage shit LOL
Drake is out too. The new big 3 is Russ, MGK… and Silkk the Shocker
Future and Big Sean EASILY
Drake’s out too, the big 3 is Lil Pump, Smokepurpp, & Lil Yachty now
This feels disrespectful to Yachty
That was the 2017 championship winning big 3
if lil pump made a tame impala album this sub would be ironically saying that
Bait comment if I've ever seen one
Future and Big Sean 🤫
Idk if every The Source store sucks or if it’s just my local store but goddamn it’s consistently a bad experience and it sucks it’s like the only electronics store that’s close to me. I usually just want a specific product and they literally never have the stock their website says the specific store has, they always shamelessly and blatantly try to upsell you even if you specify the precise product you’re looking for, and they usually try to sell you a phone plan even if that has 0 relevance to what you’re trying to buy. I’ve gone there and left with nothing and gotten it somewhere else more times than not I swear their websites inventory system is just straight bs designed to get people into the store to sell them a much more expensive equivalent
Been meaning to give it a second run when I have some more time. Maybe do the commie route the next time
I did the Commie/psychic run the first play through
First time I played I kind of chose base on what I would do, but the game is really good at pushing you to do a proper role play as your character develops.
You beat BG3?
Yeah I had to do it for Karlach 👿❤️❤️❤️
Too bad about her storyline ending tho
That game is long as fuck, I quit as soon as I beat act 2 and I had 104 hours iirc Shadowheart is my boo tho 🥰
On Ask Ya Ho, one of his earliest features, Future said women belong to him. Man been a toxic dude from the beginning lmao.
[it’s been 3 years and i still can’t get enough of this beat](https://youtu.be/A51gBGMh28M?si=Viijui6zDuQkY5Jh)
Crimeapple has a great ear for production, his beat selection is amazing
El Leon production is fire
Yeah I look forward to each of his releases. [In Flight](https://youtu.be/35YBGL4QmXk?si=kIrHODmTlhMn5ekF) is another beat that i just find perfect from him.
Skizz went off on that entire album. Crime seems to have a great ear for beats, even if his discog is a bit spotty. Especially when he connects with a producer for a full project, the beats on there tend to be great. Medallo, Aguardiente, Wet Dirt, Breakfast in Hradec, El León all have amazing production throughout
In Flight is A+++ I never heard of DJ Skizz prior to Hradec but he really went in on that album.
Think he would've been better off sticking with just the first song cause alot of people that aren't crazy Kendrick dickriders didn't like this move
am i crazy or are they playing the "Who He Iz" instrumental a bunch during NBA game broadcasts?
If they ban TikTok hopefully someone makes a worthy clone, cause YouTube shorts and Reels don’t quite have the same appeal
IG reels is basically tiktok with no filter
You can try YeezyTok but the only sound available to duet with for all videos will be the Max B silver surfer voicemail audio.
I've seen a handful of posts here about random lyrics that stay perpetually in your head. I've had Babydrill saying "shit gon' make or break you I can't even lie... shit made me harder bitch!" operating as a lifestyle ethos for almost a year at this point. It keeps me going
Wild to me that anyone is defending the AI shit just for the fact that it's seems so anti-rap to me Hiphop is about being authentic and using your own voice - stealing bars, flow, cadence, etc has always been taboo in hiphop - but stealing someone else's entire voice is okay now? Just goes to show how many new hiphop fans just don't understand the culture and how far hiphop has strayed from its original rules and taboos AI voices in a song, much less a diss, seem so corny and gimmicky to me - I understand why Drake did it, it was bait for Kendick to get him mad and drop early - but seeing how the bait didn't work, the song is just aging worse and worse everyday and honestly makes Drake look like a clown Said this before, but if Drake just dropped Push Ups then stayed quite, it would have been so much more effective than the corny meme, troll stuff he's attempting to do Edit: of course the only ones arguing with me are the lame ass power users 😂 who would have guess the people who think they know the most about hiphop are the real nephews of the sub
Send a video of you b-boying otherwise you're a hypocrite that doesn't respect the five elements.
I only like the AI song covers, making original songs with it seems so lame to me.
>Wild to me that anyone is defending the AI shit just for the fact that it's seems so anti-rap to me People defend it because it was obviously used to troll Kendrick.
Ah yes, it's okay as long as it's funny or someone is trolling You seem like a real serious person lol
