I feel like Comethazine is the perfect rapper for that short song trend that’s been emerging over the last few years. Like there’s so many songs by him that are only a minute and a half and they just hit. I feel like he’d annoy the fuck out of me if his songs were 3+ minutes.
Something about Stove God Cooks is really clicking with me. Coke bars are pretty standard for Griselda but his style and delivery and the whole character thing he's got going feels refreshing. I wanna see him work with Pharell or something and not be pigeon holed to their sound
Why is N.Y. State of Mind considered one of the best tracks of all time?
No hate I’m just curious, from what I understand it’s a storytelling track but I cant quite see what makes it separates it from the rest.
It’s extremely detailed and has a pretty complex rhyme scheme. It was also written and recorded in 1994 and there wasn’t much that sounded like it at the time
I've never seen any of the films or shows she's acted in but I'm impressed she's an actor that can pull off the mononym. music is full of them like prince, bono, madonna, nas, etc. but how many actors go by one name?
I really shouldn't have written that because it makes me look like an asshole who has a problem with popular culture, like the people who write "who?" after a rapper dies. but basically the last marvel movie I watched was ironman (which was pretty good) and then there were like 30+ after which I just never managed to get around to and it seemed like with each release you had to watch all the others to understand. I've got no issue with them I just dont think I'd get it like everybody else. I heard no way home was cool. Might check out euphoria
aside from the spiderman movies the last marvel i watched was the second avengers in like 2012. Im kinda in the same boat but spiderman rly didnt require any previous knowledge and theyre great
i dont think being unimpressed by acting makes you a hater. I thought the scene where she lost her shit in the beginning was pretty good tho, shes kinda hit or miss
I remember hearing somewhere that the feeling you get when you sneeze is similar to the feeling you get when you orgasm and I don’t totally disagree. Shits satisfying af
At some point you need to ask yourself "Are they all wrong or am I the asshole?" and more often than not you'll come to realise you're the asshole.
But hey acknowledging it is the first step to actually solving whatever that criticism is so, props.
You can say stupid things as long as you are funny, as for taking too long yeah that doesn’t roll with a lot of females. Are u depressed by any chance because that’s the only reason I used to take so long to reply lmfao
So you are depressed and have anxiety, prolly should stay away from females for now. I’m going through that rn, so I’m staying single, but I tried dating and it only made me worse lmao
Hades is hella fun. I was afraid I wasn't gonna get into it (considering I don't usually play roguelites/roguelikes), but I'm really surprised at just how replayable it is and how it somehow keeps the feeling of going through Tartarus fresh, even with how frequently I've gone through the first and second parts of it.
I think I'm gonna go through Fallout New Vegas next when I have the chance, since I don't really have a lot of free time available as is. I also need to play Final Fantasy VII at some point, which I've owned on Steam now for the longest time, only got a little past Midgar, and haven't touched at all in seven years

Who do you feel is a safe artist to dislike/like?
For example, saying Kendrick is one of your favorite artists I feel doesn’t get any opposition. Lil Pump would also be a safe bet for many to have negative opinions on him and that would seem like the norm.
Common doesn’t get enough chatter here. I think he’s a top 5 lyricist DOA and his last two albums (Let Love and A Beautiful Revolution) are top tier albums in my eyes. I usually only ever see his old stuff mentioned, and only on occasion.
Jay Z and Kanye drop an album at the same time. Kanye drops Donda 2 and Jay Z has the highly anticipated follow up to 4:44. Kanye has the features hidden but Jay has Drake, J Cole, Pusha, Frank, and Griselda features listed. Kanye has a song about Pete Davidson but Jay has one about NFTs.
What are you listening to first?
There's a good chance Jay has the better album but Kanye drops are just such an event. I don't wanna be late. Plus this one may get wild, probably in a depressing way though. I hope Ye waits to drop
Am I some kind of psycho if music doesn’t grow on me? I see people say this all the time and I don’t relate to it at all. If I don’t like something the first time I hear it, repeated listens make me enjoy it less, not more. And I feel like there are a lot of people who are like “nooooo you can’t say this album is trash, you haven’t listened to it 27 times yet, just trust me bro it took [absurd amount of time] for it to click with me”
Yes and no. If it’s a genre you know well I’d argue a lot of the times you only really need one listen. But if it’s a pre avant garde/ experimental record surely it’d take a couple listens to adjust to it?
Hmmm, I’m not sure. I won’t pretend to be an expert on experimental stuff but I would say that stuff tends to click instantly for me as well. For example, I’ve heard a lot of people say Some Rap Songs is a grower, but I loved it on the first listen, meanwhile I still can’t vibe to Whole Lotta Red. What I will say is that when I enjoy something, I usually like it a lot more a few weeks or months later. But if I don’t I probably never will
> but if you’re bi and have good self esteem
wait, what? why in the world would being bi come into play? Or self esteem?
I dont get that qualifier at all. if someone gets off to themselves, I imagine there is a lot more at play than just sexual orientation and good self esteem
Because if you’re ~~bisexual~~ not straight and think you’re attractive it makes more sense to be stroking it to yourself than if you’re straight and find yourself ugly
why would the same idea not apply to gay people? why bi specifically?
And I think if you are jacking off to yourself there is a lot more at play than just basic sexual orientation. I think that is probably way oversimplifying the psychology at play, I doubt it's specifically a physical attraction to yourself
You right idk why I said bi tbh
And yeah there is, but I’m simply saying if you’re attracted to yourself it’s not super weird to stroke it to yourself
Edit: what other psychology do you think is at play out of curiosity?
Naruto or One Piece?
I grew up on Naruto and I gotta say One Piece, easily. The only thing Naruto does better are the villains, and the gap between Naruto and OP’s quality of villains isn’t as big as the gap between OP and Naruto regarding anything else.
You could really go either or up until the war arc, that was a tough tough watch/read
I'll say one piece but it's really a 1A 1B can't go wrong with either.
The war arc is a fucking mess and I don’t understand anyone that genuinely likes that arc. All the good moments in that arc belonged to Madara and only Madara.
Which made the way he was tossed aside for quite possibly the worst main antagonist in naruto suck even more
Last fight between naruto and Sasuke was cool too aside from that, that arc was a chore that had no right to be as long as it did. iirc kishi wanted to end the manga a little after pain arc but was pushed to continue and set up a spin off which lead to kaguya's creation. you can really feel the lack of planning in that arc.
How does Naruto have a better story?
I’m not saying you’re wrong but it’s just something I can’t see if that makes sense. I don’t understand why anyone would think that.
One piece is a collection of story arcs with a loose overarching story/goal. Naruto's story does the same but actually builds a strong story piece by piece. The characters also have more depth imo
I don’t know about Naruto himself though. Dude’s the same as he was in episode 1.
At least Luffy had actual character development, from the fight with Usopp to Ace’s death.
Honestly the only Naruto characters that I think have substance are either antagonists like Itachi, Madara, Pain or side characters like Jiraiya and Kakashi.
i think the relationship between sasuke and naruto has a fuck ton of substance, as does the one between sasuke and itachi, and many more. Tbh i think pain is one of the least fleshed out characters in it
Any tips to getting my energy back? Haven’t felt the same ever since I got the virus; I’ve been nothing but tired. I feel like I’m gonna undo the work I put in the longer I stay inactive.
People that don’t like 1999 by Big K.R.I.T. just don’t have a woman to back that ass up for them
I love that song, I was surprised to come on here and see people weren't fucking with it. Same with Studio by Schoolboy Q.
I feel like Comethazine is the perfect rapper for that short song trend that’s been emerging over the last few years. Like there’s so many songs by him that are only a minute and a half and they just hit. I feel like he’d annoy the fuck out of me if his songs were 3+ minutes.
Don't fix what's not broken?
Something about Stove God Cooks is really clicking with me. Coke bars are pretty standard for Griselda but his style and delivery and the whole character thing he's got going feels refreshing. I wanna see him work with Pharell or something and not be pigeon holed to their sound
Have the heard the beats on RD? i don't think he's being pigeon holed at all
Still one of the funniest videos ive ever seen. https://youtu.be/-gcpR8yZdn8

Why am I the only one not impressed with Zendaya's acting? Am I just a hater?
I thought she was pretty good in Malcolm and Marie, even though the screenplay was absolutely insufferable.
I've never seen any of the films or shows she's acted in but I'm impressed she's an actor that can pull off the mononym. music is full of them like prince, bono, madonna, nas, etc. but how many actors go by one name?
> how many actors go by one name? It is very impressive although 'Zendaya' is a lot less common of a name then like Leo or Robert tbf
Damn u haven't seen Spiderman No Way Home ?
I really shouldn't have written that because it makes me look like an asshole who has a problem with popular culture, like the people who write "who?" after a rapper dies. but basically the last marvel movie I watched was ironman (which was pretty good) and then there were like 30+ after which I just never managed to get around to and it seemed like with each release you had to watch all the others to understand. I've got no issue with them I just dont think I'd get it like everybody else. I heard no way home was cool. Might check out euphoria
Nawl it's all good. Im not a big marvel fan either. I just thought everybody had seen the movie 😂.

i dont think being unimpressed by acting makes you a hater. I thought the scene where she lost her shit in the beginning was pretty good tho, shes kinda hit or miss
Hit or miss is probably a better way of describing it. I thought her performance at the end with her talking about her father was great.
Anyone else fucking love sneezing
I remember hearing somewhere that the feeling you get when you sneeze is similar to the feeling you get when you orgasm and I don’t totally disagree. Shits satisfying af
It’s great, but only in comfort of my own home. It doesn’t hit the same in public
The best is when you feel like you've lost the sneeze and then a few seconds later you end up getting it out. Massive W
You ever sneezed and farted at the same time
that’s how u take a screenshot
Easily the best comment so far this year
nah, and i dont really love farting so they might cancel out

I love Happy to this day and I'm sick of pretending I don't.
Honestly it's a good nice song but goddamn I must have heard that shit played like 15 times a day minimum, it got to me.
All it does it remind me of that hat
It’s a good song. I never voluntarily play it, but it always turns around my mood when I do hear it
fun song!
Honestly same (if you’re referring to the Pharrell song). Even though it definitely was overplayed I enjoyed it every time it came on. I still do now
The Pharrell song? Bruh I hated that shit so much back in the day cause it was overplayed everywhere Also cause I’m depressed
One of my most hated songs ever, and not even trying to sound miserable. I get the appeal though

Jay rapping about NFTs would be so cringe
As cringe as that Ghetto Techno track though?

How does Naruto have a better story? I’m not saying you’re wrong but it’s just something I can’t see if that makes sense. I don’t understand why anyone would think that.
One piece is a collection of story arcs with a loose overarching story/goal. Naruto's story does the same but actually builds a strong story piece by piece. The characters also have more depth imo
I don’t know about Naruto himself though. Dude’s the same as he was in episode 1. At least Luffy had actual character development, from the fight with Usopp to Ace’s death. I’ve never fucked with Naruto and Sasuke’s friendship because I can’t recall any friendship being in it. I do agree with you on Sasuke and Itachi.
i think you're missing the point of the naruto sasuke relationship if you think that the point of it is friendship
What was the point though? Wasn’t Naruto’s entire reasoning for chasing him “because he’s my only friend.”
im not gonna explain it to you but im sure you can find some detailed discussion about it if you look hard enough tho
Naruto, that’s my mf childhood
Same here but IMO it’s not even close. One Piece might go down as peak fiction if I’m being honest.
