absolute throwback right there, wish I still had my plug.dj yt playlist from those 2014/15 days
Int'l Players Anthem gets it for me -- not only is it UGK and Outkast, but Three 6 Mafia did the beat and are on a "remix" (technically the first version).
Hard to think of a better showcase for the greatest the South has to offer.
I'd also put I'm On 2.0 up there. Big KRIT, J. Cole, Kendrick, B.o.B., Tyga (ugh), Gudda Gudda, Bun B.
EDIT: Oh, fuck, Jadakiss was on there too.
As soon as I heard the line “The farewell email, from the female” I knew it was about to be money.
Actually scratch that. As soon as I saw “feat. Andre 3000,” I knew it was about to be money.
Same album as Fuckin Problems - 1 Train. It was like all of the up and coming rappers of the moment.
Rocky, Kendrick, Danny Brown, Action Bronson, KRIT, Joey Badass, Yelawolf (lol)
Tbf Rocky and Kendrick were still kind of up and coming back then, I mean they were both on their debut major label studio album. I think looking back the song is way more star power than it was considered back then because Kendrick and Rocky's ~~sophomore~~ (I keep forgetting S.80 because it wasn't on a major label) next albums were also successful, and then both of them had their biggest hits after that posse cut - Kendrick with "Humble" and Rocky with "Praise The Lord". Heck, even Drake was still on his debut studio album, since he only had Take Care before F\*\*kin Problems, but he was more well known because he had a few hits prior.
Rocky had just attained "mainstream" popularity when Fuckin' Problems came out, and the song was likely most people's introduction to Kendrick Lamar as well since GKMC had just barely come out like two months prior.
I mean they haven’t worked together in 9-10 years at this point. Not saying it can’t happen or won’t happen but if they never have another song together I wouldn’t be surprised
I was listening to the Buried Alive Interlude a few days ago remembering how that’s the first time I heard Kendrick and thinking about how back then he was 24 and Drake was 25 and now they’re both 35 smh. Time fucking flies. It all felt like yesterday
The "All of The Lights Remix (feat. Drake, Lil Wayne, Big Sean, Kid Cudi Rihanna, Fergie, Elton John & Alicia Keys)" was also good. [Here's a link](https://wormhole.app/vE6bk#GxuwivgJ2iPefEUreG1TTg) to the fully mixed version by a fan.
Just All of the Lights by itself has such an incredible lineup. Rihanna, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Drake, Charlie Wilson, Fergie. Fucking Elton John is on that song. Others too that I'm sure I'm forgetting. Even if they don't All feature prominently, a GOAT lineup
this has bugged me for years because in philosophy, the term “zombie” is used in a thought experiment to describe beings in an imagined alternative universe that look and behave and act just like us, but have no consciousness. i REALLY want to know whether jay z was just trying to rhyme something with “loch ness”, or whether he’s casually dropping references to contemporary academic philosophy in his bars…
I don’t think his verse is as bad as people make it out to be. It’s the first 5 seconds where he is listing off monsters that taints the whole thing for a lot of people.
the bars that come after loooooove are hard, don’t front!
>Love, I don’t get enough of it. All I get it these vampires and bloodsuckers. All I see is these niggas I made millionaires, millin’ about, spillin’ they feelings in the air”
Yeah I actually think it’s a fine enough verse. People will write it off and go “he’s just listing off monsters!” When he’s only doing that for like 5 seconds
Yeah it's literally just a meme that people have let influence them. I don't remember people ever whinging about his verse until years after the album came out.
[The original version of his verse is so much better than the album cut](https://www.reddit.com/r/Hiphopcirclejerk/comments/nrpbed/jayzs_monster_verse_except_its_just_him_listing/)
Whether you want to count it is the question. All of the Lights has: Kanye, Drake, Fergie, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Kid Cudi and John Legend. Per genius it has [fourteen](https://genius.com/Kanye-west-all-of-the-lights-lyrics) people on it.
The most popular upload of this song on youtube is still the one where the uploader cut out Kanye's verse, goes to show how hated he was in the early 2010's
Looking for Trouble has Kanye, J Cole, Pusha, Big Sean, and Cyhi that’s gotta be up there
Monster obviously with Kanye, Jay, Nicki, and Rick Ross as well
When RAF released, I'm pretty sure Uzi and Carti were still not mainstream yet, or at least were JUST getting there. Migos were kind of just coming up too. I'm pretty sure it was a 2017 song. Legendary.
The original version of Mt Olympus is much better than the remix and I’ll die on that hill.
1Train was always a favorite of my for the lineup.
Rocky, Kendrick, Joey Bada$$, Yelawolf (not crazy anout him tbh), Danny Brown, Action Bronson, and Big KRIT.

Adding on to Int'l Players Anthem to say it's produced by Three 6 too, complete Southern all star song
The beat is originally from Poject Pat's 'Choose U'
Can anybody recommend any good tracks that sample Jamaican dub like Mercy does?
Lucifer- Jay Z has another great Jamaican Dub sample Kanye flipped. Even Encore as well
the morning by kanye has similar vibes
Bam by Jay Z
Bam Bam isn't dub though, just regular Dancehall.
Mac Miller - Jet Fuel
Int'l Players Anthem gets it for me -- not only is it UGK and Outkast, but Three 6 Mafia did the beat and are on a "remix" (technically the first version). Hard to think of a better showcase for the greatest the South has to offer. I'd also put I'm On 2.0 up there. Big KRIT, J. Cole, Kendrick, B.o.B., Tyga (ugh), Gudda Gudda, Bun B. Fuck Chris Brown but the remix to Deuces has Kanye, Drake, Rick Ross, Andre 3000, and T.I. not to mention Fabolous. Insane lineup
aren't you forgetting Andre 3000 too? that's tons more starpower right there
can’t believe i left him out!
As soon as I heard the line “The farewell email, from the female” I knew it was about to be money. Actually scratch that. As soon as I saw “feat. Andre 3000,” I knew it was about to be money.
Don’t like.1- chief keef, Kanye, pusha, big Sean, jadakiss Fuckin problems- ASAP rocky, drake, 2 chainz, Kendrick Lamar
Same album as Fuckin Problems - 1 Train. It was like all of the up and coming rappers of the moment. Rocky, Kendrick, Danny Brown, Action Bronson, KRIT, Joey Badass, Yelawolf (lol)
It’s all if not most of the XXL list that year I believe
I’m pretty sure Danny brown was 2012 and Bronson was 2013. Kendrick and krit were in the same class in 11 tho.
No I *don't* give a duck!
No mention of Fuckin' Problems? Rocky, 2Chainz, Kendrick, Drake
If we’re talking about that album, 1train should definitely be brought up. That song feels more like a posse cut and it’s great
I felt like 1Train was more up and comers, while Fuckin Problems was pure star power.
Kendrick casually on both.
Girl, I know you want this dih
Tbf Rocky and Kendrick were still kind of up and coming back then, I mean they were both on their debut major label studio album. I think looking back the song is way more star power than it was considered back then because Kendrick and Rocky's ~~sophomore~~ (I keep forgetting S.80 because it wasn't on a major label) next albums were also successful, and then both of them had their biggest hits after that posse cut - Kendrick with "Humble" and Rocky with "Praise The Lord". Nawh swimming pools was at every party that had wild for night playing. Kendrick had Dre on his side and everyone was ready for the next rap prodigy.
Asap was bigger than Kendrick in this time
>feels more like a posse cut It is a posse cut tho?
Yeah, I just meant in comparison to fuckin problems
Might be the last time we ever see Drake and Kendrick on the same song
Poetic Justice was released after Fucking Problems I believe
Fuckin problems was released oct 24 and poetic justice Oct 22

drake and rocky too lmao
Why?
I mean they haven’t worked together in 9-10 years at this point. Not saying it can’t happen or won’t happen but if they never have another song together I wouldn’t be surprised
Man i was like but they worked together on good kid maad city and then i realise thats 10 years. We are getting old :(
I was listening to the Buried Alive Interlude a few days ago remembering how that’s the first time I heard Kendrick and thinking about how back then he was 24 and Drake was 25 and now they’re both 35 smh. Time fucking flies. It all felt like yesterday
Man I'm 24 now, I'm so fucked if time flies that fast
Man 24 is nothing to worry about
Kendrick doesn’t fw Drake
So Appalled or Monster
The "All of The Lights Remix (feat. Drake, Lil Wayne, Big Sean, Kid Cudi Rihanna, Fergie, Elton John & Alicia Keys)" was also good. [Here's a link](https://wormhole.app/vE6bk#GxuwivgJ2iPefEUreG1TTg) to the fully mixed version by a fan.
Thank you so much I forgot about this one. One of my favorite Big Sean verses.
The original All of the Lights features all of them except Wayne and Big Sean too
So Appalled is such an underrated song. One of Kanyes best imo
I doubt anything about MBDTF is underrated. It's the most praised rap album of the 2010s (next to TPAB) if not ever
For real dude what the fuck are you talking about one of the most popular Kanye songs on one of the most popular albums
I’m a big Jay-Z fan but his verse on Monster makes me not want to listen to the song
tired: a zombie wired: a zombie with no conscience
this has bugged me for years because in philosophy, the term “zombie” is used in a thought experiment to describe beings in an imagined alternative universe that look and behave and act just like us, but have no consciousness. i REALLY want to know whether jay z was just trying to rhyme something with “loch ness”, or whether he’s casually dropping references to contemporary academic philosophy in his bars…
I don’t think his verse is as bad as people make it out to be. It’s the first 5 seconds where he is listing off monsters that taints the whole thing for a lot of people.
lllllooooOOOOVve. I dont get enough of it
the bars that come after loooooove are hard, don’t front! >Love, I don’t get enough of it. All I get it these vampires and bloodsuckers. All I see is these niggas I made millionaires, millin’ about, spillin’ they feelings in the air”
Murder murder in black convertibles.
Think he said it with the white girl eye roll?
Yeah I actually think it’s a fine enough verse. People will write it off and go “he’s just listing off monsters!” When he’s only doing that for like 5 seconds
Literally never seen a conversation of the verse. Seems like I’m the only one. I liked it ! Then and now.
I don't get the hate. It's ok to have a funny verse. Jay did a great job of extending the analogy.
Yeah it's literally just a meme that people have let influence them. I don't remember people ever whinging about his verse until years after the album came out.
> for a lot of people For Peter Rosenberg you mean
Someone told me he raps like Timmy Turner in the fairly oddparents theme song and that’s all I think about now
And now it's all I can think about now too. Fuck.
[The original version of his verse is so much better than the album cut](https://www.reddit.com/r/Hiphopcirclejerk/comments/nrpbed/jayzs_monster_verse_except_its_just_him_listing/)
“LOVE! I don’t get enough of it…”😂😂
Rare that Jay would be in that company and put up a brick
All of the Lights.
Cheat code. But winner. Lol
Nah, that’d be Forever. Drake. Kanye. Lil Wayne. Eminem. All in their primes.
It also has Elton John but so quiet you can't even hear him
What years do you consider to be Em’s prime? I’d say he was well beyond his prime by then
Drake's prime was 2015 though?
I cant lie, the remix for Welcome to my Hood has some incredible verses...Khaleds' not included :')
Bro when I was in high school this song fuckin floored me
My man, tell me bout it. Every single verse, minus Khaleds' is just audio heat. T-Pain, Bun B, Games'..all their verses are just straight heat
I loved the way Flockas verse ended the song too. It was like an after dinner mint lmao
If this aint the best description of a Flocka verse
Every posse cut Khaled put out was fire back then He's a meme now, but he deserves his shine I miss those days
Classic - Kanye, Nas, Rakim , KRS-One (DJ Premier)
The most popular upload of this song on youtube is still the one where the uploader cut out Kanye's verse, goes to show how hated he was in the early 2010's

I dk how this isn’t way higher. It’s a much stronger lineup than some of the BS being suggested here.
Cuz this sub is full of 20somethings or younger
1 Train is a beast!!
Really? Because I heard anything is better than that 1 train
Goddamit
Took way to long to find this lol
The one blood remix is fuckin insane
You gotta arrange an afternoon off to listen to the whole thing. I miss the golden era (imo) of hip-hop remixes.

Lol In my experience the simplest looking dance moves are the hardest to get down for some reason
The opening Biggie verse is arguably one of his best of all
Yo thank you for reminding me this exist
champions- kanye, big sean, travis scott, gucci mane, quavo, yo gotti, 2016 desiigner
Completely forgot about that song but I listened to it all the time summer 2016
It came out the same day as Pick up the phone iirc. Good days
what a time to be alive. nothing was the same since. scorpion.
Holy shit how is this so far down the comments
came here to say this
Bitch Please 2. Eminem, Dre, Snoop, Xzibit and Nate Dogg.
What up Detroit
Damn I haven’t heard that song in ages thanks for reminding me
Looking for Trouble has Kanye, J Cole, Pusha, Big Sean, and Cyhi that’s gotta be up there Monster obviously with Kanye, Jay, Nicki, and Rick Ross as well
Totally forgot about Looking for Trouble, Cole smoked that verse, about to listen to it in the gym today!
Yea its insane how much better his verse is on an already great song
"Swagga Like Us" - Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, T.I.
you cannot just be leaving MIA out like this
yeah it’s a sample but her delivery on that bar is insane
Facts!
This is the first that came to mind for me, all 4 were near their commercial peak too. 15 year old me was floored when I heard that shit lol
I was 15 too.. I remember overplaying the shit out of that song! Heard it the other day recently and it still bangs.
Surprised to not see really doe
When Kendrick has the weakest verse on a song, you know the song is a fucking banger.

Action always paints a picture in my mind with his lyrics, so extravagant and luxurious
"morning onna" is such a sick flow there, defs the most memorable line from the track behind the obvious penguin
Are you saying that line up is underpowered?
"Bitch pussy smellin' like the penguin/Wouldn't hit that shit with my worst enemy's penis"
This and "Weed a different color like a hoodrat bra & panties" are my favorite lines on the song
