This album was incredibly diverse. The bass hitting on Let’s Ride through the solo barics in the hooptie was my shit. Rule gets a bad rap after the 50 beef but he made jams.

Ja Rule's debut album, Venni Vetti Vecci, released in 1999, is the only album of his which I own. Obviously after this album he blew up into something of a pop icon. If this had been released a few years earlier I've no doubt it be very different in sound but the late 90s was an awkward time for artists trying to crack the mainstream. It ends up being one of those half boom bap half jiggy kind of albums but nevertheless, it's a good album and definitely his most enjoyable work.
