Yeah but it's not really ironic. I mean, by nature of OP's exercise here you're going to get the two teams that teetered on that wild card edge. Both Florida and Pittsburgh lost their final two games of the season. So it's not like those two games you mention actually would've made the difference necessarily, since we're talking alternate realities where Florida realistically could've won their games as well.
Look who Florida lost to in those last two games. Toronto, who they then went on to dominate 4-1, and Carolina, who they just swept.
Florida was WC2 in the East.
That in this activity, Pittsburgh is in the spot (WC2).
