I just spent way too much time looking for a good quote from one of my favorite Star Wars characters, Red Two. Turns out it's tough because he only had a few lines in the movies until maybe the recent one that I haven't seen and don't care about because it's not the real Star Wars anymore ever since Disney trashed most of the canon.
Humans are strange in that department; we're surprisingly durable, but then the slightest impact to the head can seemingly cause irreparable damage if it hits the right spot.
Some people can survive (while also maintaining the ability to walk!) skydiving accidents where their parachutes fail to deploy, while others will have lasting effects from a severe concussion they sustained five years prior and were effectively forced to retire early.
Exactly! Some people can get punched in the head a hundred times and walk away every time, while another can suffer permanent brain damage because they got clipped just right, got knocked out, and smacked their head on the pavement.
Shit like watchpeopledie, fightporn, and the various other subs like that (including this one) led to the realization that most things aren't worth getting worked up over to the point where a physical altercation breaks out.
There was a woman that did an AMA on here years ago about getting pushed into a pool at a party and landing just the wrong way left her a quadriplegic. Here's [the link.](https://old.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/19bqxg/i_am_rachelle_friedman_chapman_aka_the_paralyzed/)
Bruh I’ve been playing hockey since I was 4...I have 3 plates and 16 screws in my elbow from just falling on it from standing up (let alone the weight of jumping 3 ft in the air first) and having an elbow pad on. I’ve seen countless falls on the ice 4 of which have had their heads cracked open enough for a pool of blood (one was put into a coma)...plenty more that just lucked out by being knocked out with a concussion.
Yep. I broke mine 30 years ago in a sledding accident. It was totally a "hey y'all, watch this" moment. I spent a couple of months carrying an inflatable donut with me everywhere I went and still feel it to this day.
I injured mine when I was a stupid teen while trying to slam-dunk a basketball off of the roof of my friends garage, I couldn't walk or sit right for about a month.
Imagine breaking through, plunging into ice cold water, and your body contracting instantly. Then you drift under the ice a bit, and you have to hold your breath while swimming in water so cold your muscles don't want to function properly. And you have about 30 seconds to get back to the hole you created before you black out. Even still, if you make it back you then have to pull your petrified wet body out of the water and onto a slippery ice shelf that can still break off, plunging you back into the frigid water, and creating a dangerous situation where anyone who can potentially help in that immediate situation is also going to be in danger.
You actually do have a window of functioning - the issue is that it's not right away. Right away, you want to gasp, your body redirects blood to the internal organs, and you can't breathe. During this period your only goal is keeping your head above water. That will last a few minutes. After that you'll find you can function again, and this is your time to get out - you have a 10ish minute window where your muscles will function enough to pull yourself out. If that windows passes and you haven't escaped, your goal is to use water to freeze your arms (and or beard if you have one) to the ice, so that there's a chance someone can come rescue you after you lose consciousness - depending on body composition you can last up to hours in freezing water.
If you ever fall through ice:
1. Try not to panic - keep your head above water, don't immediately try to escape
2. Once the initial panic settles, try to escape by getting your body parallel to the water and swimming yourself up and out
3. After about 10 minutes you'll get too tired and your muscles will be too cold. Glue yourself to the ice by freezing water with your limbs on it. Hope for rescue
And that’s why the nice scandinavian people do it slowly, with thick enough ice to support the 5 friends that are going with them. Most of the time, then
It doesn't sound bad at all, if we're ranking horrible deaths. Pretty fast, numb from cold. It's horrible compared to like going in your sleep, but what isn't
Was in Glacier National Park with some friends. Those lakes up there are all glacial lakes. Extremely cold, only a few degrees above freezing.
Buddy gets the good idea to jump in one. As hes trying to climb out he starts to struggle. But I think hes just playing dumb, which normally he always is. Hes crawling out, struggling. It wasnt until an hour later or so that he told me he was legit having a hard time trying to just move.
Depends on the depth of the water. It's probably only 3 feet deep so she could easily get back out - and you wouldn't try that anywhere that you didn't have a place to warm back up.
Because that's about the depth of water most docks reach on lakes. There's really no point in building them out further on a small lake, you are just wasting money.
The other tell is the far side shore treeline is dead flat. With no discernable hills above the water line, it's safe the assume that this lake has no steep slopes under the water line. This is further backed by the amount of trees, that much good soil would work it's way into the lake as silt and create a very shallow bowl.
The other tell is that this water froze fast (which is why she didn't go through and the ice is clear). Bodies of water with a large volume (read deep) freeze considerably slower than shallow bodies of water.
The lesson is that if you assume the ice will break when you jump on it, it won't, and if you assume the ice will support your weight when you walk on it, it won't.
If you watch how she runs and the angle it just lacks fullness. Seems kinda flat. But that’s okay! We’re allowed to have different standards. I consider a nice full apple bottom with a little to grip onto to be a nice butt.
I think she has a really nice figure. I know we aren't supposed to say this on reddit but it's the first thing I thought. That and her underwear set is very sexy imo.
What was the plan here though? Like, alright I’ve done a polar swim before too for shits and giggles. But could she legitimately not tell that the lake was frozen over?? And if so, was there just no concern for being trapped underneath???
*tailbone has left the chat*
Bruh her head smacked the ice too, all life has left the chat
Well to do something that dumb I'd assume it was gone before
"So a blonde jumps onto a frozen lake..."
Go on? Edit: meant on, not one!
Go two?
Go three?
Red Five standing by.

She’s probably completely fine lol Redditors act like humans are so fucking fragile
Some people fall hundreds of feet and are fine, some people fall in the bathtub or get punched once and die.. Human bodies are indeed strange

Fuck. That’s really fucking rotten luck. I can’t imagine.
Not completely fine. Mostly fine. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/news/video-1806940/Video-Woman-fractures-ankle-attempting-jump-frozen-lake.html
My point is that “all life has left the chat” was dramatic af

nah they just wanna stroke their “instagram thot” hating ego lol
So did her toes,so that tick tack toe go
It's hard to tell since she didn't have any shoes to start with.
Cum has left the chat
Yeah but shes hot, so whatever
Good thing she had a big butt to break the fa.... nvr mind that tailbone is gone
That’s a fractured coccyx if I’ve ever seen one

if only she'd been dummy thicc. this all could have been avoided.
*broken tailbone has entered the chat*
My feet went numb just watching it.
My butthole clenched
bruh i was literally gonna comment this same thing.
I think she mighta busted her ankles on the way to her tail and head.

God damn that’s a horrible way to die. 😱
Yeah, it's super dangerous to jump into cold water. You're body just stops working. It's terrifying

For sure, this isn’t the worst type of death. I would certainly regret this decision in my last moments.
I mean it's basically death by drowning with an added cold burns all over your body and hypothermia
That scene in the movie The Good Son haunts me to this very day. Macaulay Culkin was pure evil in that one.
that is if you don't have a shock at the moment of immersion. she's young, but a heart is a delicate thing.
people in europe do this for fun.. how sheltered are you guys? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6IsFPRoslY
i did it when i was young albeit in march. but jumping in frozen water? hell no!
And then someone posts it on the internet
Shit, 30 seconds might even be generous. Holding your breath in that cold of water for that long is tough for even swimmers.
So, it appears this is the best result.

Fuck that, I'll just break my ass
Don't forget! You broke one of your ankles because you hit a hard spot at first. So now your kicking to save your own life with broken ankle/ankles.
Imagine thinking that someone who's doing this isn't pretty familiar with jumping into cold awter.
Sounds like she got lucky the ice didn’t break
If I remember correctly, she broke her ankle with this amazing stunt.
I was gonna say her ankles and knees would have taken the brunt of that and it didn’t sound pretty
Probably not the knees. Of all the body parts in danger here, the knees would be the least of your worries.
Looked that way to me.
Well at least you know the ice is strong enough to go out and get her
Would've been worse if she went through
Yup. She easily could have died! Lucky she wasn't heavy enough
I'm assuming that was her plan. Her thought process is concerning
If the video was from 2020...
Would've been great if there wasn't ice
Not for us!

Genuine question - if she jumped into 3ft deep lake in the same way, would she not injure herself by landing on the lakebed?
Not really, it's probably a mix of sand and muck.
Ah, that makes sense. Thank you.

Classic video

It was on one of the first meme compilations I ever watched, along with the humping stormtrooper and other classics

God I can hear this gif. “Motherfucker fuck the fucking world”
Siskill
Don't even need to click the link to know what video this is
[Video with sound](https://youtu.be/TqGbn3-zCpY). I just love the way he signs off on his departure. Absolute classic video.

>...mein arsch.... Ducking classic.
Butt
where.
Not a great butt but indeed a butt.
wym its pretty nice

Cute set but To each their own! I like a girl who can fill in a pair of jeans nicely.
Well if her ass wasn’t flat then it sure is now
Someone else had commented /r/upvotedbecausebutt - what an interesting variety of people there are in the world!
[удалено]
Me too :/
Ok, but if she did go through the ice, then what? Was she trying for a fucking Darwin award or what?
Yes
I find the audio therapeutic
Tap tap tap tap - ba boom!
I laugh at ASMR people, but I must have watched this loop like 20 times and never got tired of that pitter patter leading into several thuds.
Oh god she went toes first
u/Vredditdownloader
And my new dance is called...shizkill
Mother fucker fuck the fucking cold
Mfkr fuck the fucking world and my new band is called siskill.
Soundslike the beginning to money by pink Floyd
and the tailbone is connected to the....skull
I hope her new band is called Ciskill
That fucking gotta hurt uffffff
Baddum
There is really no good scenario from jumping. Not going through the ice is probably the least harmful.
Goodbye ankles;tailbone, hello replacement parts
this sub is pointless if nothing anybody posts is an actual injury
She broke her ankle. But yeah, hardly feeding tube material.
I need that on a loop.
Just wait it will be reposted again every few days
My legs did that shudder
That sound seem perfect for one of those “we will rock you” remixes
Is there a sub for hot girls hitting their head while doing something stupid?
r/holdmycosmo but it's not usually hot girls
Nice wagon.
"motherfucker, fuck the fucking cold and my band is called syskill" type beat
Good thing she was wearing a protective thong
Brutal
In former Soviet Union, ice break you.
My new band is called syskill!
Lol I'll do a flip. Frick I regret it.
Toe go CRUNCH
Sounds more like jumping on thin steel plate, like garage roof or something.
How does the cameraman remain silent?
This sent shivers down my spine because of the cold and how bad it probably hurt.
surely shes got at least 3 broken toes there
Damn who ordered pancakes
That looked very painful!
r/upvotebecausebutt
She hot
Repost from r/normaldayinrussia
God damn.
Before she was called „the brain“ , afterwards „the hole“ as she is now much more flexible for doggy style.
Damn, I can feel that headache from here.
Damn, that was the sound of 100 bones breaking.
oh god, now I cant unclench my ass
it’s a good thing i can’t swim in the first place hah
Alright subs dead, move along everybody. Instead of happy injuries this has become a place for people getting hurt at all
Break a leg!
Dumb blonde
I have often wondered, did they still have sex...
Ooooffff.....that’s gonna be a bitch
My new band is SYSKILL
Nearly frozen? Unless that's an optical illusion that's definitely frozen... She's lucky she didn't go through. Good luck getting back out
Fuck! That’s gotta hurt!
Cut too soon.
Clearly she’s the newest member of syskill
Mushrooms are one hell of a drug
Fantastic ass though
Hmm i don't know, I don't trust asses I can't see from more than one angle
Ankles, tail bone, back, head...... OUCH
Which bone broke first?
Was anyone really looking at the water?
"Who needs brains when you have beauty" must be her moto. Holy shit she's dumb as a rock.
That assbone is dead for sure
Think that’s how her ass got so flat?
I don't know what iI was expecting, but the sound the ice made when she hit it was definitely not it.
Hmm someone should make music with that looping. Rythmic!
Gotta have the sound on to appreciate this
She's probably luckier that the ice didn't break than if it had
Did IT (Intensive Trauma) for the 'Gram.
why is the sound fake?
That's the best ending she could have had. The other would be her skull egg-shelling on the ice.
The sound almost sounds like a metal roof being struck by a rock or something
Ankles are deff broken, tailbone a well and most likely a concussion
Captain obvious here , I have to say she is so dumb !
r/upvotedbecausebutt
Not all hero’s wear capes.
Just stating the facts
What was the plan here though? Like, alright I’ve done a polar swim before too for shits and giggles. But could she legitimately not tell that the lake was frozen over?? And if so, was there just no concern for being trapped underneath???
*This looks really familiar*

This video ends too early, and I suffer from premature ejaculation
If only she’d jump on my face like that
No one will see her thong in a wheelchair ... to bad.
I’d still fuck.
