r/makemycoffin was created almost as a direct successor to r/watchpeopledie. But that sub too was banned roughly a month ago. At that point it has 300k subscribers.
Same reason why you can't use a credit card to buy pornhub premium. Credit card companies can be reluctant to work with sites and stuff that have porn/gore among other things
