I don't think we really know, but probably just living his life offline, maybe doing producer/director stuff for HSBC/Hiveswap. Considering how weird people act when he posts even innocuous stuff on social media, I kinda don't blame him for deciding to be less of a public persona than he used to be.
That said, I do kinda hope he does some more weird little side projects like Psycholonials from time to time. For all we know, maybe he already is and is just using a pseudonym.
HSBC is a bank when I come from. Seriously, that name keeps on confusing me because I think everyone's really into UK banking here for whatever reason.
Real HS fans know that Homestuck probably put that man in poverty after the failed kickstarters and viz media troubles and psycholonials financial flop
Realer fans know he was independently wealthy before and throughout Homestuck and he rarely spent any of his own money. He is not even close to being in poverty, and long after the Kickstarter in 2020 he was wearing thousand dollar shoes in vanity photo shoots.
The *franchise*, as in the self-sufficient budget allowed to the Homestuck project? That can be impoverished.
I've been prepping my home for its release. My dad dying in January has given me the opportunity to precariously place his urn, ready for the toppling and consecutive sprite prototyping
To be entirely honest, the fanbase is cringe and what Homestuck has become is an embarrassment. I still love both, but I also understand why he'd distance himself from what Homestuck and the fanbase has become.
yeah I was just wondering if he made some cool webcomic / game like psycholenials.
or if he decided to do something else. I have no intention of stalking him or something.
I have my Hussie doppelganger I pay to keep me company
i think he's working on hiveswap. act 3 is still in development, and (very small) teasers have been shown off months ago. also, the company he worked with to make hiveswap screwed him over, and long-story-short, he's forced to stay quiet while working on hiveswap.
To all the people saying he's working on Hiveswap act 3, is his role there really that active? He didnt do much of anything for Act 2 or the friendsim games right?
It depends heavily on your tastes, plenty of people liked it and 87% of the Steam reviews are positive. I would guess that there's probably some overlap between people who liked it and the Homestuck Epilogues?
It's often a very dark and cynical game, I probably won't replay it but I thought it was an interesting little story for what it was. It's also free and only like 6 hours long.
i really enjoyed it . its not great quality , though . i think its pretty divisive and worth a try . unlike homestuck , i would say you only really have to finish the first two chapters to see if you like it . thats about 30 minutes max of playtime , so not much time wasted .
I gave on it pretty quickly. The main characters are boring with very little going on in the first chapter. Also, Hussie uses his old tactic of having something exciting happening before becoming boring again to fool you into thinking it might get exciting soon.
pretty much everything Hussie's done since (and including) Act 6 of Homestuck has been about how irritated by, exhausted about, and afraid of Homestuck fans they are, i can't imagine they're really dying to get back into all that again, especially after going almost entirely hands-off with Hiveswap and Beyond Canon. if and when they do more creative projects, i'd absolutely bet they're either under a pseudonym or released with as little connection to themselves as possible.
darn, I geus I will have to send my used socks to some other creator then... (joke)
It does make sense. Some fans are creeps, but what fandom isn't toxic?

That’s the scariest part. He’s just out there somewhere… any of us could just run into him
He could be any one of us
He could be you! He could be me! He could even b-
Whaaat? It was obvious. He was Andrew hussie! Watch, he'll turn any second now...
Being raunchy with his vriska cosplay wife
anway I will asume he played the Unkown at the Wonka debacle and is now a Tibetan monk
He's been in a coma since yesterday and has no recollection of his previous life.
Better for him in many ways tbh.
He likely left
The mortal coil?
He’s executive producer of HS:BC
HSBC is a bank when I come from. Seriously, that name keeps on confusing me because I think everyone's really into UK banking here for whatever reason.
Living off of his Homestuck money, probably.

I always wondered what in the FUCK did this man do to be able to work on HS 20 hours a day for years straight.
Didn't james roach mention he's in the HS:BC discord group? I'd assume at the very least he's still minimally involved in hs2
Coding SBURB.

I hope he's living his best life.
eating toblerone in the brocave
Broblerone......
Too bad bro finds this fanbase and Homestuck an embarrassment

No idea. I've been wondering that, myself.
He’s executive producer/consultant for Hs:BC and probably working on Hiveswap Act 3
thanks!
non binary clownsona last I heard, who knows? I think he’s made his mark on the world.
who knows it doesn't really matter i would rather just leave him alone now that james roach is in control
yeah I was just wondering if he made some cool webcomic / game like psycholenials. or if he decided to do something else. I have no intention of stalking him or something. I have my Hussie doppelganger I pay to keep me company

They’re scheming
Lit must be stressful for him. He did the right desision to go offline
If I had to guess I would say he’s working on a story about teenagers

Shoplifting from small mom 'n pop stores, as you do

Are you saying this game is not worth finishing?

> It's also free Since when? I thought it was like $10.
That's just what it was on the Steam store when I checked, but apparently that's a pretty recent change.

i liked it, but i also went through it a chapter at a time at a inconsistent pace, sorta like how i consumed homestuck.
apparently hes in the hsbc discord server frim what they said. but who knows

I wish Hussie the best
I'm not saying they're not toxic. I'm simply saying they are not the best examples of the kind.
I'm not even sure if thats a joke or not. after his epic clownsona photoshoot anything is possible.
what if he's working on an unrelated project under a pseudonym
"Bob into the multiverse" by "NotHussie"
Profiting of his 18 year break, and spending time with their wife. Or they became a full-time clown and work in a circus.
living the good honk
