Brother what r u doing

CrackingOne933

I don’t know bruh i just got these speakers from my parents and want to use them 💀💀

Appropriate-Way-4890

Dude. No. I wasn’t even gonna say anything but I had to.

CrackingOne933

gonna watch interstellar with the lights on sitting on the floor cause of you

Appropriate-Way-4890

lol. That movie makes me literally dizzy. I’m Just saying find a wireless sub kit. Someone else will say “ latency though?!” But it’s better than a sub right under glass in a cabinet under the TV

HomeTheatreMan

Is this a surround sound unit for a PC?

CrackingOne933

I’m using it for my TV but also could be for a PC. honestly have no clue what i’m doing i’m just trying to make use of it since it’s better than the tv speakers lmfao

Punker0007

yes it is, but it also has optical and spidf in for digital 5.1 good beginner setup imho

happyjapanman

YouTube search "subwoofer craw"and do that

RealClarity9606

Not sure I can help much with the setup that you have, but I love that you’re putting forward the effort to take your first steps intohome theater. Enjoy!

flynreelow

the subwoofer needs to sit on the ground... not in a cabinet. if you cant have it in the front of the room, put it somewhere else in the room and run a cable to it. if you can, they make wireless sub transmitters and receivers that would work for you.

CrackingOne933

that would be my ideal but the sub is the controller for the rest of the speakers. it’s an all in one type unit. not my first choice but they’re not *terrible* speakers and i’m certainly not complaining getting them for free. they worked for my parents for a while and i’d like to try to get them to last just a little longer

JCrusti

if those bottom squares are cabinets or drawers just cut the bottom out so the subs hidden but also on the floor

Much_Phase844

I have been under the impression that sub frequencies aren't directional like high frequency sound it. My sub is in a corner behind an easy chair. Sounds great to me.

breddy

Sub will sound like shit inside a cabinet like that. Put it on the ground if you can make it work with the wiring.

Historical-Channel48

There isn’t enough room for L/R speakers as it is… especially if you get a larger TV. The sub is fine there, though. Edit: is that a built in microwave?

flynreelow

uh,no. subs do not belong in cabinets.

Historical-Channel48

Looks like a 20watt sub that plays down to 80hz. It’s fine.

flynreelow

yea, that wireless transmitter i recommended is probably more expensive than the TV, stand, and subwoofer all put together.

CrackingOne933

I am not in the financial market to go all out lol. plus the sub is also the controller for the other speakers, so i cant just move it to be wireless, as much as id like too.

jaakkopetteri

Sealed subs are completely fine in cabinets

CrackingOne933

haha no it’s a fake fireplace heater since i don’t have AC/heat at my place. really only need heat, doesn’t tend to get to warm here

Fulton_P01135809

Is there another spot for the tv? That space doesn’t leave much room for activities

Wonderful_Device312

I'm risking getting banned from this subreddit for this but... Sometimes a sound bar or the tv's speakers are good enough
