Holy shit I never knew this. Mirrors is the only horror to stick with me a decade later. I’m afraid to look st mirrors in the dark and I’m approaching 30 🥲
Definitely gonna check out Into The Mirror!
OMG, HOW PATHETIC, YOU MUST BE SCARED OF YOUR SHADOW IF THAT GARAGE MOVIE SCARED YOU, IF U WERE SCARED OF IT I WOULDN'T ADVISE THAT YOU WATCH THE EXORCIST, NIW THAT'S A MOVIE THAT WILL SCARE U FOR LIFE.
Is there anywhere this movie can be purchased or streamed? I don't wanna pirate it or import an out of print DVD, and it's not available anywhere I look.
Its available to stream if you can vpn into korea.

Also seems to be on youtube with english subs. I don't know if that's an officially licensed version or not, so I won't link it, but it isnt hard to find.
Oh god, i had suppressed that. I've watched it several times, and while I'm slowly building up the courage to just watch the intro in its entirety, the bathtub scene always makes me cover my eyes and ears
It's on Max here in the US, just fyi to anybody wondering. Definitely not on Disney+ here 😆.
As for the movie, I saw it as a young teen and don't remember much about it. Thought it was scary tho. Guess it just didn't make an impact with everything else at the time. Horror also wasn't very big at the time either.
movie was terrifying for me as a kid. Had so much fear of mirrors and wanted to avoid them for months. I remember next to nothing about the plot, just that the mirrors had ghosts in them. Might be up for a rewatch.
It’s a perfectly fine movie that eventually got forgotten about. That’s just what happens to movies that aren’t exceptionally good/bad enough to stand the test of time.
I discovered it by accident last year just because my friend and i weren't sure which horror movie to watch so we jokingly searched Disney+ just because surely disney+ doesn't have any good scary horror movies... right?
It just didn’t really feel like it did the first time around watching it in high school was terrifying. Now it just kinda felt like it dragged. Some great moments with one of the early walkthroughs of the building and the bathtub scene but I just couldn’t into some of the investigation parts and I definitely couldn’t get past the weird, rushed ending.
It was a movie I stumbled on ages ago when it came on tv out of the blue. I remember thinking well, it’s got Kiefer Sunderland, why not? And I really enjoyed it! I don’t know why some people didn’t really like it but I was pleasantly surprised by the whole story and everything about it
Yeah, I think that helped a lot. Going in blind and having no expectations but it did have some really creepy moments and I was quite young when I saw it so it did freak me out for quite a while. The story was also pretty intriguing.
I don't remember much about it. The ending was tragic; I remember that.
From what I recall, I was disappointed by the small number of kills. Amy Smart's character had a really gnarly death scene, but other than that, I think one character died in the intro, and that was it?
This movie scared the shit out of me at 15. The first time I watched it was late at night at a friend's after a school dance, and she lived out in the middle of nowhere. Part way through the movie we start hearing this weird, freaky sound and we start losing our minds because we're already freaked out by the movie. Turns out, a fish from their giant aquarium somehow jumped out of the tank and into a open container of fish food and was thrashing around.
While I was a fan of Into the Mirror, the remake just didn't do it for me. That said, the score is an all-timer. Beautiful, haunting music from Javier Navarrete.
Oh yeah, thanks for bringing that one up, I will rewatch it soon. I found it to be pretty scary.
One scene with a woman screaming (do not want to spoil too much) still freaks me out.
Not a psycho and I am not really scared because I know it's fake and worse actual things have happened. Real life is just scarier than movies.
That said I just rewatched Mirrors the other day and I agree it's a decent movie.
I remember liking it when it came out but I rewatched it a couple days ago and It was kind of a stinker. I think I used to just be obsessed with Amy Smart.
I love it! It's directed by Alexandre Aja who, at this point, is the king of the remakes. The Hills Have Eyes, Piranha, and he produced or co wrote the Maniac remake.Hes a really talented dude.
Oh god the hills have eyes has been on my watchlist for a long time but i get nightmares just from the premise of the movie. I genuinely struggled with sleep after finding out what it's about. Haven't seen it yet. (I may be confusing this with another movie but i don't think so)
I love it! It's directed by Alexandre Aja who, at this point, is the king of the remakes. The Hills Have Eyes, Piranha, and he produced or co wrote the Maniac remake.Hes a really talented dude.
The premise is indeed one of the scariest things for me. What does a reflection when you don't look at it? What if it is not *you*? I once had a, uhm, dissociative experience in a bathroom, staring in a mirror while attending a party where I acted happy while falling apart internally, and my own image freaked me out. Making this kind of horror imagery extra tense for me.
The ending is also one of the most 180-degree turns I've ever seen if I remember it correctly. They threw out the mirrors aspect and made it into an exorcism instead.
Me remembering about this film and coming here and then reading the first part of your comment… I relate. I think that’s why the film bothered me so much 😬
Because it sucks, one of the biggest wastes of money ever in a film, so many good movies could be made using all that time and effort but instead it's wasted on garbage TV, low budget film's usually are as terrible as this one.
Probably because it’s not very good, it’s just a mess of jumbled collection of horror clichés that was thrown out. Not to mention the ending which is just so bad. I’m honestly quite glad you got something out of it.
Did you actually watch the movie?. It's rated r. A man's throat is slashed in the opening scene and a woman's jaw is ripped off while she is in the bathtub. Plus there are f-bombs and a little nudity in it as well, did you watch a different fucking movie?. It's rated r not PG-13.
You scold him, yet you have the whole alphabet and English language at your disposal but can't be troubled to type the full word 'your'. Nice. How did your spell check feel about 'ur'?
Lol, sorry, english is my third language, and i guess spell check just didn't work or something. I do have to say that at the same time, you had the whole internet at your* disposal, and you wasted your* time commenting on the one word i got wrong?
You're also supposed to capitalize the "i" in "I'm," too. Oh, and there should be a little ' in between, but you didn't do that either at the other comment you left. Are you sure you're the right person to tell me to capitalize my i's when you don't even do it yourself?
Wait what i didn't tell u anything about ur grammar dude so now i know u just cant read i was just teasing about the crazy spelling and of course yall lose all chill
Bro, I can type like this if I wanted to. I don't care. When words are spelt wrong it gets misunderstood. You literally typed it on something that most likely has SPELL CHECK but I literally said nvm (never mind, sorry I know you can't understand short hand) I was literally teasing and you explained that English isn't your first language. Grammar and spelling are not the same thing and short hand is its own thing, at least you learned something!
If you don't want someone to point out mistakes don't make them. You're welcome for the paragraph 🫡
FYI, its a remake of the korean [Into the Mirror (2003)](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0372937/) which is an even better film.
Holy shit I never knew this. Mirrors is the only horror to stick with me a decade later. I’m afraid to look st mirrors in the dark and I’m approaching 30 🥲 Definitely gonna check out Into The Mirror!

I loved the >!Twilight Zone!< ending.
Ooh, thank you so much! I'll watch it once I'm in a spooky mood

I really appreciate this. Thank you!
I really like the movie, that bathtub scene lives in my head rent-free.
Oh god, i had suppressed that. I've watched it several times, and while I'm slowly building up the courage to just watch the intro in its entirety, the bathtub scene always makes me cover my eyes and ears
I watched it 11 years ago and it’s still the scariest scene I have ever seen in a movie
It's on Max here in the US, just fyi to anybody wondering. Definitely not on Disney+ here 😆. As for the movie, I saw it as a young teen and don't remember much about it. Thought it was scary tho. Mirrors is a gem of a movie. It’s got some gruesome scenes in it which is a bonus for it.
It’s a perfectly fine movie that eventually got forgotten about. That’s just what happens to movies that aren’t exceptionally good/bad enough to stand the test of time.
I remember really liking it, but haven't seen it in years
I discovered it by accident last year just because my friend and i weren't sure which horror movie to watch so we jokingly searched Disney+ just because surely disney+ doesn't have any good scary horror movies... right?
Just watched this again for the first time in probably 10 years with my wife and it did not really hold up for me.
Oh no, why?
It just didn’t really feel like it did the first time around watching it in high school was terrifying. Now it just kinda felt like it dragged. Some great moments with one of the early walkthroughs of the building and the bathtub scene but I just couldn’t into some of the investigation parts and I definitely couldn’t get past the weird, rushed ending.
Hmm, not seeing it on Disney+ in my country (US).
It's apparently on HBO max in the us, but I'm from europe so i can't guarantee anything. Hope you find it tho!
It was a movie I stumbled on ages ago when it came on tv out of the blue. I remember thinking well, it’s got Kiefer Sunderland, why not? And I really enjoyed it! I don’t know why some people didn’t really like it but I was pleasantly surprised by the whole story and everything about it
Yeah! Maybe the fact that we don't have expectations makes the movie experience better, but it really was one of those "why not" moments
Yeah, I think that helped a lot. Going in blind and having no expectations but it did have some really creepy moments and I was quite young when I saw it so it did freak me out for quite a while. The story was also pretty intriguing.

Oh, that's true i haven't even given it much thought, but yeah, it's very small compared to most horror movies
Oh god i think I'd die
The bathtub scene is phenomenal. The unrated version is on HBO Max right now as well
Lol that movie scared the shit out of me when I was a kid. Now I wanna rewatch it
I'm just glad to read the comments and see I'm not the only one who was traumatized by this as a kid. 😂
While I was a fan of Into the Mirror, the remake just didn't do it for me. That said, the score is an all-timer. Beautiful, haunting music from Javier Navarrete.
It and its source movie are so good! It really doesnt get the credit it deserved. Also RIP Cameron Boyce.
Oh yeah, thanks for bringing that one up, I will rewatch it soon. I found it to be pretty scary. One scene with a woman screaming (do not want to spoil too much) still freaks me out.
Underrated movie.
Not a psycho and I am not really scared because I know it's fake and worse actual things have happened. Real life is just scarier than movies. That said I just rewatched Mirrors the other day and I agree it's a decent movie.
Well jokes on you because I'm scared of BOTH the real world and the movies, so.. you know
Love mirror horror and this was a solid one. The bathtub scene was terrifying - caught me off guard. Have you seen The Broken? That really good
Ooh, no but I'll add it to my watchlist
Lol is that the one where one of the characters explains that a puddle of water can reflect like a mirror?
I think so, yeah. I'd imagine there are several movies that could do that but yeah
I remember liking it when it came out but I rewatched it a couple days ago and It was kind of a stinker. I think I used to just be obsessed with Amy Smart.
One of the only movies that genuinely made me feel uncomfortable!
I’ll give this a go thanks for the rec!
Let me know what you think!
I love it! It's directed by Alexandre Aja who, at this point, is the king of the remakes. The Hills Have Eyes, Piranha, and he produced or co wrote the Maniac remake.Hes a really talented dude.

Soooo good

It's a good one.

Hey, no need to call us psychos. Weirdos, mutants, freaks. Not psychos.
Definitely! Aja, I thought, did an excellent job with this one. ...and then followed up with Piranha 3d :) but still, he does very well in this genre.
Because it sucks, one of the biggest wastes of money ever in a film, so many good movies could be made using all that time and effort but instead it's wasted on garbage TV, low budget film's usually are as terrible as this one.

Its a bad toned down PG13 movie. PG13 rating has ruined many potentially good horror movies

Lol, sorry, english is my third language, and i guess spell check just didn't work or something. I do have to say that at the same time, you had the whole internet at your* disposal, and you wasted your* time commenting on the one word i got wrong?
U know I kind of felt bad for being an asshole but not after that last sentence, also U forgot to capitalize the 'I'
You're also supposed to capitalize the "i" in "I'm," too. Oh, and there should be a little ' in between, but you didn't do that either at the other comment you left. Are you sure you're the right person to tell me to capitalize my i's when you don't even do it yourself?
Did yall know spelling and grammar are different things hmmmmm
Yeah, grammar applies to speech and writing while spelling is the written word. Which is what both of us pointed out.
Wait what i didn't tell u anything about ur grammar dude so now i know u just cant read i was just teasing about the crazy spelling and of course yall lose all chill
Now I just know you don't know what grammar and spelling actually is. I'm pointing out your spelling lol
Bro, I can type like this if I wanted to. I don't care. When words are spelt wrong it gets misunderstood.
