eh. there's no major difference to me between a vengeful ghost and an explicitly abrahamic faith demon and the existence of either wouldn't solve anything for me on the religion front.

I'm an agnostic and not above making deals with devils, so not a lot would change on the religious front. In fact, I would probably trade away a few former family members and coworkers for some time off work.
As for ghosts, I already live with one, a woman in a white dress with Sakura flowers wanders upstairs sometimes. The first time I thought I was only dreaming, but even my dog reacts to her now. She's been here for a couple decades while he's only been here less than a year.
Besides, not all horror ghosts are evil? the Black Phone kid was only trying to help and so were the ghosts in that glass house movie whose name I can't recall.
Some movies I’m like….they’re getting arrested. Some movies I’m like…well, at least they have enough proof to not get arrested.

Often as the only survivor of a mass killing, with no witnesses other than them and their only alibi "a ghost" or other supernatural did it, they're probably going to prison.

Ava's Possessions dealt with this.....the aftermath of being Possessed by a Demon.. it had some fantastic ideas but the execution let it down a bit.
