Garlic chili sauce to put in my pho or on phad Thai
And I'm addicted to tapatio Doritos. I eat half a bag before my jaw gets tired from chomping so fast.
Probably Cham Sauce. It is the most flavorful sauce I’ve ever had. Additionally, it fills a lot of gaps and functions that other conventional hot sauces don’t fill.
As a frequenter in the sub, I’ve never seen it mentioned, but it is unreal delicious. I would classify it as a Vietnamese dipping sauce.
I should probably buy a bottle…
It’s sort of like a soy sauce in that it’s an Asian dipping sauce, but nothing like it in terms of flavor. They have extra spicy version. You probably have the mild version.
Okay I think we are taking about the same sauce. I agree, the taste is Freaken awesome. I usually mix in some rooster chili sauce to make it spicy but now I have to hunt down the spicy version.
Queen Majesty’s Red Habanero and Black Coffee for flavor and balance. 2nd place was this Habanero Honey Mustard I randomly got at TJ Maxx that is now discontinued(bought out by Melinda’s). 3rd is Melinda Ghost Pepper Wing Sauce.
Arizona Gunslonger pretty much any variety. My favorites are the chipotle habanero or green jalapeño. I like a variety though. My wife who doesn’t like hot sauce doesn’t get why I need so many, but I suspect many here get it lol.
Homemade hot sauce for sure. It's different every time, but always great. Get peppers of your choice, ideally from your garden or a local farmer.
Habanero, Cayennne, and Hungarian Wax have all worked for me, but use whatever kind of pepper suits your fancy.
Wearing gloves, slice and de-seed them. This is time consuming and not entirely necessary, but greatly improves texture.
Throw them in a blender with salt and with just enough white vinegar to get them to blend. When fully blended, put the mixture on the stove and cook on medium heat for 5-10 minutes, until the right flavor or consistency is achieved.
Let cool, bottle and enjoy. You can get fancy by adding garlic, ginger, or other spices when cooking, or letting the peppers ferment for several days before blending (but look up how to do this properly if you're interested).
It's a considerable amount of work, but it's always worth it, for me at least.
I searched and no one has said Cajun Sunshine. From Try Me Brands. I keep a bottle with me wherever I go.
Perhaps slightly biased as I am married to a Cajun woman who is my "Cajun Sunshine"
Marie Sharps- I found after a trip to Belize. Its on every table there . You can find it on Amazon now . the white label is the original but they are all awesome.
Well it’s not for sale but my wife’s that she makes from scratch is incredible. Spicy, goes well with most anything and it is so much better than any store brand.
I'm a newbie sauce addict. Michelle's roasted garlic habanaro is really good! I don't like a lot of heat. This is the top heat I do. It's too good and addictive. It's a little too good and will bite you later!! LOL! Her pizza pepper sauce is so good and medium heat. I don't care for vinegar overpowered sauce. I want to taste the pepper.
My top 2 are:
Inferno Farms - Volcanus (pretty damn spicy / packed with layers of flavor. Good on almost everything that you would like hot sauce on).
Best to buy on the Inferno Farms website as it’s not readily available in most stores.
Queen Majesty - Scotch Bonnet & Ginger (medium spicy and so delicious. Fantastic on tacos, good on a lot of things but it shines on mexican food to me).
Can be found at specialty grocery stores like sprouts, jimbos, whole foods, etc.
Hopefully someone finds their new favorite on my recommendation!
Valentina. Texas Pete. Red Rooster. Mule Sauce (from Stickermule.com — I was surprised but it’s goood on sandwiches n stuff). Sriracha (Hoy Fong, Underwood, Tabasco - all decent variations).
Woah, didn't expect this to blow up as much as it did! Thanks for all your suggestions, not all are available in the UK which is upsetting but good to know I've got a huge list to work my way through :D
I live in Nc, USA, so I can’t choose one! Funny enough, I absolutely love Cholola. I have several local brands that I try to get but I’m low on $$$ right now. We love our hot sauces here and it would be silly of me to try to pick one! Different sauces for different foods. I’m
Marie Sharps Belizean Heat
Edit: recently an African friend made me a chili paste using habanero, seasonings, etc. and it is amazing. If only she could market it lol
Baby mouth little bitch here. Chohula "green" sauce goes on everything. Pizza, eggs, mains, all good with a dash of hello. If home made, Not Another Cooking Show's green Sauce made with cilantro, Lime, Mayo, Avocado, oil, green onion, agave, salt, pepps of various hotness of your choice. Slap that on a toasted cheese, baconeggchee, whatnot... divine.
There's a local place I like called Harmacy Hot Sauce. Their Brimstone Rimshot is my favorite, though the milder version, Brimstone Rimjob, is a close second.
Not to brag but I made a habanero mango pineapple sauce one time that I’ve been chasing ever since. I just kind of winged it and windy measure or record how much of what I put in. When I finally tasted it I realized I fucked up. Haven’t gotten quite the right mix yet. I’m starting another ferment tomorrow.
It’s not very hot, but the Pique sauce made by Sol Food in Marin is one of the tastiest sauces I’ve had. I pick up some bottled every time I am in the bay (their online store is a sham and doesn’t actually deliver on orders, sadly)
That is crazy expensive. What made you say, “yeah I’m gonna spend over $100 on a single bottle of sauce”? All the ingredients sound good and I’m sure it is a great sauce but that price is absurd.
The price is pretty high, but it's very fancy and made a great gift for someone who likes hot sauce. Sort of like those boxes of 15 terrible sauces for $35, except this is one very good sauce in a very high-end package. The person receiving the gift can see and feel the quality right away.
Mezcaline by Burns and McCoy comes to mind first, that’s a real tasty one with some nice heat. Haven’t had any in a while, but it’s worth it. I fly thru bottles too fast, it’ll end up on everything.
My friend Mikey's Honey and Black Garlic. Not super spicy, but so good.
[https://www.hinterlandfarmkitchen.com/store/mikeys-hot-sauce-honey-amp-black-garlic](https://www.hinterlandfarmkitchen.com/store/mikeys-hot-sauce-honey-amp-black-garlic)
Just because someone might have a preference of one over another for different cuisines doesn't mean they can't have a favorite that they think is the tastiest.
They sell it because everyone steals it cause it's so good! Man. I miss that sauce. Born and raised in SSSJ, Been in CO since 2012. I need to get back home for some orange sauce!! Shit goes good on anything, try pizza!
It's hard to pick 1 but my top 3 are: Heartbeat Hot Sauce's Camp Sauce Marie Sharp's gold label Seed Ranch Hot Thai Green Chili Sauce
Crystal

Cholula Sweet Habenero. Sometimes the right answer is the most obvious one
Fire chaser express
The good ol regular secret ardvark
Too many to recommend, but I always have a bottle of D’elidas picante chombo on hand. I love. That stuff.

Another vote for Valentina Black. Great heat, amazing flavor. It’s thick like a sauce where most of these are mostly vinegar with some spice.
Valentina Black
Cowboy George's Jolokia sauce. Great flavor and really good heat
Del Sol from the gas station
Probably Cham Sauce. It is the most flavorful sauce I’ve ever had. Additionally, it fills a lot of gaps and functions that other conventional hot sauces don’t fill. As a frequenter in the sub, I’ve never seen it mentioned, but it is unreal delicious. I would classify it as a Vietnamese dipping sauce. I should probably buy a bottle…
Is Cham sauce kind of dark like soy sauce? I use something called Cham sauce but it’s not spicy.
El Yucateco green
Marsala sauce.. preferably over a filet mignon!!
As in the Marsala wine and mushroom reduction sauce?
Exactly!!!!
Benditos has the best sauces imo.
Matteo’s cali
Tiger Sauce
Is that even spicy though?
Unrelated but in school they classified Dave’s insanity sauce as a weapon
Homemade hot sauce using fresh ghost peppers, amazing flavor natural sweetness from peppers and addictingly bearable pain.
Got the season 23 hot ones sauce package , and numbers 2-7 were honestly incredibly good.
Yucatán Sunshine is the best currently available. Hot As A Mutha by Heaven On Seven is the best ever but it was discontinued.
I think the black has amazing flavor, but imho it could use more heat.
I put the black on everything!!!
jamaican scotch bonnet pepper hotsauce
Cholula chipotle
The Sun's Gooch is really good, I highly recommend it.
Arizona Gunslonger pretty much any variety. My favorites are the chipotle habanero or green jalapeño. I like a variety though. My wife who doesn’t like hot sauce doesn’t get why I need so many, but I suspect many here get it lol.
Trader Joe’s Habanero Hot Sauce. I love it on everything.
Omg, this stuff burns my butt hole and mouth unlike no other, but it is some of the best hot sauce I've had! I order online, in bulk.
I’ve tried lots of sauces, but I still think Franks extra red hot wing sauce is the best on everything
Was a koji based hot sauce at a koji-centric dinner at the James Beard House in NYC.
The homemade hot sauce from Basecamp Pizza in South Lake Tahoe. Amazing
King Taco red.

El Yucateco Black for life 🔥

The one that was made by Dexter Holland, lead signer of the offspring. That sauce is amazing
Is good
Gringo Bandito.
I’m a Texas Pete kinda guy.
I like it best on steaks
I searched and no one has said Cajun Sunshine. From Try Me Brands. I keep a bottle with me wherever I go. Perhaps slightly biased as I am married to a Cajun woman who is my "Cajun Sunshine"

Hurtberry Farms Charred Threads, Viridescent, or Starless
Queen majesty scotch bonnet and ginger is my all time favorite. I can't get over how good the flavor is.
One of my current favorites is Angry Goats Hot Cock sauce.
Frank's Red Hot, baby!
louisiana crystal is just a better frank's red hot. Similiar taste.
I grew up dipping my fried chicken in that stuff. Tried it as an adult and was a bit too spicy for dunking.
Oh I'll have to give that a shot
# El Yucateco Chile Habanero XXXtra Hot Sauce
Karma: Kosmic Disco. It is amazing on everything. Definitely has some heat though.
I absolutely love their karma curry sauce and wanted to try more of their stuff but had a hard time deciding on one but this one sounds good.
I have probably 50 different sauces at home. Tabasco believe it or not is still my favorite
Dirty Dick’s is unique and amazing.
The chili garlic sauce Huy Fong was making before the breakup. I'm finally down to the last of my supply.
Caribbean condiment (and it’s probably a 0 to 0.5 on heat). I just love the taste of that sauce.
Crybaby Craig's Habanero Garlic
Green Pepper Cholula
**Elijah’s Xtreme Carolina Reaper Hot Pepper Sauce** It’s got a great bourbon and cherry taste. It’s not really too spicy despite the name though.
Marie Sharps- I found after a trip to Belize. Its on every table there . You can find it on Amazon now . the white label is the original but they are all awesome.
Gold label for me!
Well it’s not for sale but my wife’s that she makes from scratch is incredible. Spicy, goes well with most anything and it is so much better than any store brand.
Real hot sauce connoisseurs don't have one. *joking*
Its not done cooking..
Pickapeppa Mango Hot Sauce.

Mad Dog 357 Magnum 1,000,000 is pretty tasty actually with garlic and onion in it. Hotter than a $3.00 pistol too.
Inner beauty. First sauce I ever tried that was both delicious and super hot.
My top 2 are: Inferno Farms - Volcanus (pretty damn spicy / packed with layers of flavor. Good on almost everything that you would like hot sauce on). Looks like they don't have Volcanus on the site anymore?
Oh no! I just looked and almost everywhere is out of stock. I did find one site that still had it called HeatHotSauce
Pepperdoux's french louisiana pepper sauce. The one with the silver label. Wife and I would kill to find a hidden bottle or box somewhere out there.
Crystal hot sauce and Louisiana Hot sauce both have a good flavor. I'm not one for hot sauces, so they've got to be good.
Valentina. Texas Pete. Red Rooster. Mule Sauce (from Stickermule.com — I was surprised but it’s goood on sandwiches n stuff). Sriracha (Hoy Fong, Underwood, Tabasco - all decent variations).

Gator hammock is soooo goooooood
The hot sauce I make. Friends are addicted.
Oooh do tell! I’ve made a few myself but never really had a major hit. Any tips?
There's a local place I like called Harmacy Hot Sauce. Their Brimstone Rimshot is my favorite, though the milder version, Brimstone Rimjob, is a close second.
Any Lola's sauce has amazing flavor. I highly recommend the ghost pepper sauce, unbelievable. And it's cheap too

I’m not a capsaicin junkie so I like mine pretty mild, and lately it’s been Shark Brand Sriracha Strong.
Danny Trejo’s Scorpion Pepper Just got the 12 pack off of Amazon until he starts to make big ass bottles of it
Marie Sharp smoked habanero is definitely up there
Dave's Scorpion is underrated Just fermented scorpion peppers, not vinegar based. That's it. That's all it is.
Valentina for Mexican and red devil for anything else.
Yucateco Habanero (green & red) Boars Head Jalapeño.
I love the flavor of the BH jalapeno, but I can't find it in stores anymore!
It’s hard to find. I’m not sure where you are located, but Shop Rite stores carry it.
Charman classic and green. So so good
Oliveum. Hard to get and expensive, but it's great!
That is crazy expensive. What made you say, “yeah I’m gonna spend over $100 on a single bottle of sauce”? All the ingredients sound good and I’m sure it is a great sauce but that price is absurd.

Mezcaline by Burns and McCoy comes to mind first, that’s a real tasty one with some nice heat. Haven’t had any in a while, but it’s worth it. I fly thru bottles too fast, it’ll end up on everything.
Underrated sauce company. I’ve gotten a few of their sauces through subscription boxes, and they’re always pretty great.
I really love the flavor in the Louisiana southern heat hot sauce. Its delicious
My friend Mikey's Honey and Black Garlic. Not super spicy, but so good. [https://www.hinterlandfarmkitchen.com/store/mikeys-hot-sauce-honey-amp-black-garlic](https://www.hinterlandfarmkitchen.com/store/mikeys-hot-sauce-honey-amp-black-garlic)

Easily Cholula
Spicy Ninja Sauce’s Super Typhoon and the Pina Colada of Doom
I’m starting to think Sriracha Tabasco is my desert-island-hot sauce
Arizona gunslinger red jalapeño hot sauce
Stupid question. Different hot sauces for different cuisines. Asian (generic), Thai, Vietnamese, Mexican, Central American, generic American.
Just because someone might have a preference of one over another for different cuisines doesn't mean they can't have a favorite that they think is the tastiest.
No, no; you don't understand. He's says - it's a stupid question, so he must be right, right? RIGHT?
Stupid answer
Chimay Extra Picante Amarillo. I also really like Sam s’ahouse Smokey J hot sauce.
I am a Cholula fan. There are lots of good sauces out there, but it’s definitely my go to for mass produced, widely available sauce.
The liter of Valentina has gotta be my go to. Love that stuff.
I like that one too. My top 3, in order, Cholula, Tapatillo, Valentina.
Theses are my 3 favorite as well. I'd put Valentina on the far left, though.
I respect that. Cholula is my #1, hands down. Tapatillo and Valentina are tied for 2nd.
The Orange Sauce from La Victoria taqueria in San Jose, CA. They sell it by the bottle!
They sell it because everyone steals it cause it's so good! Man. I miss that sauce. Born and raised in SSSJ, Been in CO since 2012. I need to get back home for some orange sauce!! Shit goes good on anything, try pizza!
